Diving into another book by Janice Ivy is always refreshing. She has the knack of dropping her eccentric characters into a well-crafted story that kept me turning pages as if my life depended on it. In this third "Trailer Trash" book, Charlene and Maggie run into trouble, literally, when they nearly drive over a teenaged girl named Dani who is the victim of the salacious desires of the leader of a religious cult. I was kept in suspense as the author described the efforts of Charlene's friends from the RV park to protect the fifteen year old pregnant girl from being captured by "Father" Branigan and his followers. We should all have friends like them. Failing that, be content adopting Ms. Ivy's family of "real characters" and plan a trip soon to the trailer park of her mind.

Fantastic book

This book is great. I won't spoil it for anyone. I'll just tell you the story has so many heart breaking moments in that you will never get tired of reading it. It is beautiful from beginning to end. It talks about the Missippi Gulf Coast which is one of my favorite places.

Plot hole: it is not explained how Brannigan got Dani to leave without everyone else being alerted.

Spelling & punctuation deteriorated beyond acceptability since previous book.

Fantastic Read!

This is the 3rd book in the "Trash" series & the best one so far! This time Charlene & her friend Maggie literally run into a 16 yr. old girl who has just escaped from a maniacal cult leader. Joining Charlene in this thrilling adventure are her detective boyfriend, Gus, neighbors Dave & Nadine, Maggie's husband Edward, & writer/hermit Lester. As Charlene & her little misfit family bond with 16 yr. old Dani they also have to protect her from the psycho cult leader, Father Branigan. It is a heartwarming story even while murders & kidnappings abound, all leading to an exciting, heart tugging climax! This book & the other books in the series are well worth the price & your time. Can't wait to read about the next "adventure" in Charlene's life!!
