What a surprise. Easy read, great plot, great character. I will see what else she has written.

I was enjoying it at first but then it all got a bit too silly. The relationship, or non-relationship, between Cally & Evan was annoying. How could he say there wasn't one just because they hadn't had intercourse? Really? It's not a relationship until that happens? What rubbish!
Someone wanted Cally dead so they could get their hands on her money. Who's most likely? Why, her family, of course, & what a delightful clutch they were. The characters were superficial, & superficially drawn, & the action slightly farcical; and how convenient that Detective Evan turned out to be extremely wealthy as well. He was a cop because he wanted to be - hmm.
Full of improbabilities & not particularly well-written; very lightweight. More romance than crime. It's very easy-reading & probably not such a bad tale if you're not expecting a thriller.

Callaway, seemingly tough, but deep down sensitive, scared and lonely, is worried her relatives will try to kill her to get the money her beloved father left her.Detective Evan comes to Callaway's rescue, in more ways than one.
Suspense and mystery from the first page to last. The fast pace of the book makes it very easy to read.

It reads like a TV thriller...& that's what makes it fun!

Meh - the excessive wealth was a turn-off.
