The third of the exhaustively detailed seven volume history of the USAAF in WWII. Covering the period of 'operational climax' from mid 1944 this book describes the systematic destruction of the German oil, transport and industry in the final stages of the war. Not something to read if you want an exciting war story, but if you want to know every detail, and I mean EVERY detail about USAAF operations in WWII - this is the book for you..
The entire series of books read well alongside the British HMSO official histories .'The Strategic Air Offensive' and 'The Royal Air Force at War' which are also available in Kindle
