All things considered, it is not bad.
I had been expecting maybe a bit more history of different jewels and gemstones in depth and more illustrations/pictures to be included, but considering it is a paperback, the amount of things to be found within is pretty good.

Interesting history about precious stones and how they fit into the scheme and value of gemmology. The woman who wrote it though, can't use footnotes to save her life.
