Incredible way of starting The Remaining! This short story provides more background and helps to understand so much better the characters and their stories.

Twisted, Unpredictable, Wonderful Characters, and Easy to Read are just a few of the adjectives that I would use to describe this short novella. I am not typically a reader of the "dooms day" club; however, this short story took me by surprise and generally held my attention all the way through until the very end.

"The Foreboding" is a very well written piece about a young woman that has been given the sight to see visions in her dreams, but these are not just any visions, these dreams she has been having is of the world around her ending as she knows it. Will she be able to help those that she loves? Can she change the things she believes is coming?

I guess I will have to read the novel to find out.

Didn't realize that this was essentially the first 10 chapters of The Remaining (I think...Chap. 10 was extremely familiar). With that being said, this is a really quick read and a good way to determine whether or not you are going to like this book. I highly recommend for all those that are considering The Remaining but aren't entirely sure.

It was a ground work lay down short little book. Took like 15 mins to read. Gave some explanation on who the characters were.

Good beginning to a story

This book was awesome to read, I am looking forward to watching the movie that this book was a prologue to.

This is a prequel (more like a prologue, really) to "The Remaining." Having seen the movie, I can say that this short read sets the stage well. However, if I didn't already know what was to follow, I would have felt as if I had seriously been left hanging. It has to be taken in the context of "The Remaining" in order to make sense.

This "prologue" snippet is included in "The Remaining," by Travis Thrasher who wrote this novelization of the movie. It's really more of a teaser to introduce the book and set the stage for the end times scenario that the book develops. The full novel is pretty good, but don't expect to read this prologue as a full blown stand alone.

Unfair to ask for a review since this is only the prologue to the book...sets the story up for the released book
