The Brit

Joanna had grown quite a little crush on her customer, British Johnathan Smothers. Although she acted professionally, she couldn't help but be curious. When Johnathan makes an offer for a no strings affair, she agrees but little does she know that one night changes her life forever. Johnathan isn't going to let her go and in a whirlwind moment sweeps her off her feet.
This was fun, Jonathan is a bit dominant and extremely protective of Joanna. Had a twist I had not seen coming. Another great read from Jordan Silver.

This just turned dark and creepy in the last 10%. The hero does some illegal thing to keep the heroine safe.
This was not one story I cared for.

The Brit
This story was nice enough. Not much to it really. The main couple end up together pretty easily. The conflict was right up my alley but was resolved fairly quickly. To be expected as this is a short story. And this author tells you everything like it’s a draft instead of showing you. Still I liked it well enough.
Double shot
This is a bonus extra short story in the last 25% of this book. I liked the MMC but the FMC was a joke. She was written as classy successful and smart on top of being rich but then after the MMC explained that her partying ways were inappropriate for his wife and career as he is a homicide detective and what does she do, throws a tantrum and goes out partying the first time he misses a date. Yeah, nothing classy or smart about white girl wasted behavior. I didn’t like that after this infraction she was rewarded by the MMC finally agreeing to marry her. Way to go on standing your ground detective. Pathetic story and characters. Good luck.

IDK, it was "Billionaire Light". The book was not highly developed but had a " plot" that seemed reasonable but not plausible. Entertaining but not a favorite.

not even half way and too bored. Still it was what I wanted at the time, something that had no angst so I could get to sleep at a reasonable hour. I just wish it was more clever and there was less sex. Sex, sex ridiculous amounts of sex. Who knew that could be boring???

I can only give it a 3, which is good, but I'd have loved to have given more especially having paid that much for it on Amazon!
Perhaps I'm being picky being a Brit? But the whole British thing didn't really work for me in this read. The way he spoke was so completely over the top it was daft! The colloquialism's he used were so nationally spread that no one person would ever speak with that many regional twang's or words! Do you know what I mean?
And I never thought I'd say this (especially about a Jordan Silver read!) but on this occasion there was too much fucking and oral and not enough story for me.
I'm a tad disappointed but it won't put me off reading Jordan's books - I enjoy them too much : )

This is the Jordan Silver I love.
This author isn't for everyone. She has taboo books which I read for smut purposes. But books like this one is my favourite.
Where the male is WAYYY ridiculously OTT possessive and into the girl. Hes the man she's the woman. It's not for everyone. But I love how obsessive the men are and how steamy the books are :)
This author has the same feel and formula in her books with her OTT alphas. I don't go into this book expecting realism, slow burn or any of that. It's insta everything and way OTT. I enjoy it from time to time :)
Her books are ridiculous but addictive (at least in my POV). If you're a literature freak, do not read this. The writing is not great and punctuation sometimes is ignored ... hahaha

Joanna Pierce grew up in care. School was her out. She is almost done with school. Has steered clear of men. There is something about Jonathan. She takes him up on his offer. The next thing she knows she is engaged and being whisked off to England. Not everyone is thrilled with Jonathan's choice in a bride.good story, 3 stars, because the sex every few pages got to be to much , can't believe I said that, I started just skimming through the scene.

Mostly fun
With the exception of one scene when the guy punishes" the heroine for something that made NO sense, this is most classic JS classic fun. You have the young innocent, the sexy (occasionally moronic) Brit , dastardly bad folk, and some convoluted, but amusing plot elements. It is so OTT, but that is why I read these.

Guys first of, please know that human trafficking is real, and the waitress Nicole was the sensible one.
Second, about the bonus romance, if someone tries to nullify you the way the cop did to the girl, run for the heels. Cause that it's a sure abusive relationship ring bells.
That aside, it's a fast fun reading, with a bunch of gaps and above 18 scenes.

Not gonna lie..... I was a little confused by this book. He starts off wanting a fling but next this you know after one lay with her golden va ja ja he's thinking marriage and then she's severing all ties and going to Britain with him after just a week.....then all kinds of drama and then the end!

Talk about alphas... wow. Jonathan takes the whole alpha thing up a couple notches. It’s a whole Cinderella story but very not PG-rated. And I love it. Trade the ugly step sisters for a nasty sister-in-law and you’ve got quite the plot. Who wouldn’t want a man that crazy for you?

He was serious about protecting what was his. I like that about him. He reminded me of how Prince Harry defended Meghan from the paparazzi and persons vulgarly talking about her race. The Brit was fab. Fantastic
