Daisy and the trouble with sports day was about sports day and they trained and Daisy cool friend Dylan had a skateboard but Gabby ride it and broke ankle in they the end Daisy won the race without Gabby but they are still best friends xx

Really great children's book and lot's of fun. I was reading this with my 9 year old grandchild and we both had a right laugh at Daisy and all her antics.

I really enjoyed the sense of storytelling in this book. This book had an incredible story of the joys of sports day and training extremely gard for it. The story has an unexpected twist in the middle and end, which I didn't expect. As with every Daisy book, she's causing mischief for her mother and embarrassing her every chance she gets. I liked the theme of friendship in this story and how it shows Daisy struggles to want to impress Gabby in a lighthearted comic way.

If I had to say anything about this book 📖 I’d probably just say that it’s the most interesting book I’ve ever read and it’s not that hard for me to understand what it means in the first few pages but it’s really hard to explain if it is really true because it is so much easier to feel that way that it is not

Yet another book in the brilliant Daisy series, which are real favourites with my seven year old daughter. Of course, the trouble with sports day is that everyone wants to win, including Daisy. However, as Daisy muses, it is really difficult to win a race on sports day, “especially if there are other people in the race.” As always, Daisy takes things really seriously and decides to go into Olympic Training and embark on a Go For Gold Eating Plan. The fact Daisy’s that this includes chocolates and cheese strings causes her mum to question the success of this plan, but, of course, Daisy knows best.

All children – and parents – know the stresses and joys of Sports Day and it is all in this book. From how to win the Egg and Spoon race to pushy parents, Daisy turns her quizzical eye and innocently funny turn of phrase onto school life. I love all the Daisy books – as does my daughter – and this is utterly joyous. As well as a brilliant story, the illustrations add so much to the book too. I just hope that Kes Gray continues writing more adventures for Daisy and her mum, as they are simply wonderful.
