When I first heard of The Arrangement by HM Ward, I was intrigued. I loved the premise of a call girl falling for her customer and the complications that could arise. Friends wouldn't stop talking about it. I picked up the first book, not really knowing what to expect, and I was hooked. I scorched through the next 10 (at that time) books and sat eagerly awaiting the email announcement for the next.
Something about Miss Black really appealed to me as I read the books. There was such mystery and power behind her, with a hint of tragedy. I had already started coming up with my own little pet theories about her past as I read, but I didn't have a way to write them myself. Thus, when I heard that Ms. Ward was opening up her characters to Kindle Worlds, I was ecstatic.
Ms Ward has created such a rich and dynamic universe of characters that it was a pleasure to write in it. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to put my own spin on Miss Black and give her the back-story that I craved. I loved putting her in the situations that created the Miss Black that we all know and hate and twisting her into what she would become.
I'm incredibly grateful to Ms. Ward for giving authors everywhere the chance to visit her universe and let us play in it for a little while. This has been a wonderful experience and I hope that readers enjoy it as much as I did.

I expected so much more and answers in this prequal to HM Wards "The Arrangement", instead I am left with more questions and assumptions.
The writing itself was excellent and in the same style as HM's so kuddos to the author but it gives no insight to what we learn in the future and if nothing else raises more questions as mentioned earlier. The story focuses on how Miss Black and Sean met, but two questions we learn have from the Arrangement series is Sean's need for fear in sex nor how they get from meeting to engagement are never answered. You only learn how they met which could have been summed up in a few sentences in one of the future additions.

The question that arises in my head after reading this is why would Sean accept Avery if their meeting is like Miss Black and Sean's. Both situations the girl lied about who she was aka both hookers, both had their identities exposed on a date and both love Sean for his other characteristics. I feel like I have deja vu. Miss Black hasn't had an easy past, but she is determined to make herself rich by whatever means possible. When she sees Sean for the first time, they are drawn to each other. They slowly start a relationship, but little does Sean know that she knows more about him than he knows. After their first time together, Miss Black starts to question her lifestyle but she won't be derailed by anyone. Sean is about to find out what her profession is but will he be happy or will he walk away? Some very hot, steamy, juicy sex scenes. After reading this, it's going to be hard to hate Miss Black now that she is more human to us.

Great insight on Miss Black
I liked this book because it gave you more history on the relationship between Sean and Miss Black. I hope that with next Arrangement book we get more details on the history of the two of them.

if you have not read this book than read it...I was truly shocked at who she was in love with and the way the book ended...it gave lots of I aight into why miss black is the way she is now...I cod not put it down...loved it

The book will give you some insight to why Miss Black is the way she is with Avery an her other girls.....I highly recommend this book for you Ferro divas an there are some jaw dropping moments to say the least....get it ladies you won't be disappointed !!!!!!

I liked the take on Miss Black and Sean however, the story was very short with quite the cliffhanger. Anyone that follows the Arrangement series will more than likely enjoy this installment.

It is going to be hard to picture these people when HM Wards books come out now. Seeing them in these different ways makes me crazy for more. I'm loving it.

I like reading about the mysterious Miss Black!! And baby Sean Ferro too!! Although, I thought he was the way he was because of his wife? He didn't have his wife yet in these books! Hmmm???
