When five-year-old Roman's mother is murdered before his eyes in Fayette, Mississippi he is left alone with his loyal dog, a blue nose pit-bull named Ice. Things appear to look up for Roman when Billy Bob Adams, a career criminal, finds him and whisks him to Baltimore, Maryland. With modern day slavery as his motive, Billy Bob teaches Roman every villainous trick he knows...including murder. From the moment Yoko was born she was unwanted. Born with a visible handicap people judged her upon first sight. Before long they turn the sweet child into a bitter young adult who does anything she can for attention. Even if it means taking responsibility for crimes she didn't commit. When Roman and Yoko meet they become an escape for one another. Since an idle mind is the devil's workshop they put their skills together and become living nightmares for unsuspecting drug dealers. Many years later, Roman vows to trade his turbulent childhood and crimes for a family of his own. Which means leaving Yoko and her volatile love of blood behind. When Roman must rely on his murder game to provide for his family, he excels and becomes the primary assassin for a multi-million dollar drug operation. But what happens when Yoko returns with a request that Roman doesn't want to honor? Explosive drama. Goon is an action packed thriller with unpredictable twists and excitement! Enjoy!

Goon is a killer that you don't want to mess with. While she has a code when it comes to murder she sometimes has to overlook that code to get her point across. Yoko has physical disability that does not allow her the respect that she believes she deserves. When these two cross paths and become friends people better watch out. But what happens when one of these people decides to test the limits of the friendship?
While this was a decent read, I can't say that this was my favorite T. Styles book. I'm used to most of her books having drama and keeping me intrigued from the very beginning. This book was a little different as it started off slow to me and took a minute to gain it's momentum and take off. Once it did take off I was all in until the end. I am hoping there will be a part 2 because there are some questions that left me wondering at the end.
This book was all that. T. Styles did her thing once again. I couldn't put this book down. Amazing twists that only T. Styles can give you. Goon is a great read and I would highly recommend this book.
I so wished this book didnt end so abruptly, there has to be a part 2 so many unanswered questions, otherwise an interesting read some slow parts but in true TStyle fashion it was crazy.
Roman was beast throughout the whole book. Im glad the author didnt try to string this book along and turn it into a series. everything was nicely explained in this One book
This book kept you turning the pages. But... As with other T. Styles books it was very extreme. Roman (real name Bay) is a child when her mother and two brothers are murdered in their home. She is taken in (if that's what you can all it) by a man her mother did business with. A racist meth addict. Racist AND addicted to meth taking in a Black child? Yoko is a little person. Her mother gives her up right after she born. She is taken in by a woman named Maria. But, Maria's husband doesn't care about Yoko. His girlfriend (Yoko's mother) was stolen by his brother. Yoko's dad. Extreme number two. I could go on. Yoko has been raped numerous times and is raped by her mentally challenged brother/cousin. Her and Roman become close friends. Only to grow apart and then become lethal enemies. Of course Roman's husband is a rich boy estranged from a mother that doesn't like Roman. But he's also a sadistic rapist who is being blackmailed by a female professor into sleeping with her. Unless he wants to lose his scholarship. THAT is what makes you have to suspend belief while reading T. Styles books. Everything that can happen will. Every plot twist will come into play. Why introduce Yoko's mother if there was no resolution or closure? I did like the incorporation of her other series into this book. It figured in nicely. That as about it.
Omg this book was off the damn chain. I read this book very slow because I didn't want it to end. T. Styles is one of those authors that you never want her books to end. I loved how you see reference of other people from other books in her stories. This book had me want to read it in one day but I just couldn't. I waited to long to bust it down in one day. I love the way Roman always was on top of her game until her family was involved. Then she had to do what she had to do to figure out her next move. Yoko was a totally different situations altogether. One thing I will tell you won't be disappointed with this book or any of her other books. 5 star banger. T. Styles you never disappoint your twisted babies.
This book had me from being TALK about betrayal. Roman was bad bad chick love her I shoulder what will happen if she and animal every melt. that would be unbelievable book. I really wish Amazon let costume give more than because "Goon" deserves 10 stars. I love this book so much I slow down read it. This is why Iove T.Styles so much she writes like no other AUTHOR her work stands alone simply amazing. This was pure classic just like "Silence of the Nine. can I say page TURNER please get your copy Now!!!!!
T Styles never disappoints me. The friendship between Yoko and Roman seemed to end just as quickly as it began. I really wanted Yoko to get herself together so they could rebuild the friendship. Once Roman aligned herself with the Pretty Kings, it was a wrap. I would have liked to know more about the years between the end of the friendship and when the beef started. I wonder if Jackson will appear in other books. It would be nice to know more about his back-story. Great book.
Well developed characters & storyline. T. Styles can take any character, turn them into the most extreme villian & have you on their side despite their faults. Roman was one of those characters. At a young age Roman was thrown into a life with Billy Bob who was a curmudgeon at heart, adapted to his environment & suffered the consequences. Roman's friendship with the odd, yet comical Yoko made the story all the more interesting. Truly twisted, awesome urban read. Recommended to all.
