Phoenix Force is a series of action-adventure novels first published in 1982 by American Gold Eagle publishers. It is a spin-off of the Executioner series created by Don Pendleton.

Phoenix Force is one of two neutralization teams working for Stony Man, a top-secret anti-terrorist organization. As with The Executioner, the Phoenix Force novels have been written by a succession of authors under the pseudonym Gar Wilson. In 1991, Gold Eagle combined Phoenix Force with another Executioner spin-off series, Able Team, and launched the Stony Man book series, which is still being published as of 2005.

The Force tries to stop a second Korean war this time out. Someone is attacking US and South Korean troops along the DMZ. It seems that the North Koreans are looking to renew old grudges in a big way. In goes Phoenix Force to find out why.

This starts out fast and just keeps going till the final onslaught in a cavern fortified with an arsenal that could start WWIII. This was one of the stand outs, so far for me in this series.

Oh yeah, did I mention once the team enters North Korea there is also the problems of stolen weapons, defectors and maybe a leek on the Phoenix Force side of things. It never goes to plan for these guys.

Standard example of the series which isnt a bad thing. Looks like the team got played, by some who would like to start another Korean War, and they are not happy about it. Bunch of action more on the implausible side then normal which is saying a lot. Though being fast paced you do not think about it to much.

If you are already a convert of the Executioner and gang books then this one will be fine, not one of the best ones, plot seems lacking more then normal.

a book from the earlier days of the Force with Keio Ohara still alive the Force are sent to Korea to bring back a missing load of new weapons what they find there is deceit and duplicity and quite possibly their deaths since not only the North Korean Army but factions of the Japanese Red Army also are looking for them with orders to KILL ON SIGHT the fearless men of Phoenix must pull out every stop to stay alive and complete their mission at all cost

I've never read this one, I was starting to have trouble tracking the books down when this one was released, WH Smith's stock was rather erratic at this point. I'd like to read it though so if anybody has one to spare I would happily pay for a second hand copy. Thanks guys.

A spin off series from his Executioner books. This series follows several secondary characters that band together. Recommended
