He's in London... She's in L.A.
How do you hold on to love when you're 5,000 miles apart?

Ginny
I thought I had it all.
Good job, great friends and a loving boyfriend...
Until I caught him with the sultry vixen from the fifth floor.
I'm so done with men and their cheating ways.

Until my fun-loving BFF drags me out for a night on the town.
In walks a tattooed billionaire who curls my toes with his British accent.
He's young, rich, powerful, and can't seem to keep his eyes off me.
Only problem is... he goes back to his life in England in two short days.
Oh, well. Nice while it lasted.

Tristan
I grew up in construction, thanks to my overbearing father.
But stuck in a suit, making deals in L.A. is so not my cup of tea.
I may be the boss's son, but getting dirty and working with the guys on-site is where I'm at.
Then a quiet drink at the bar and the sight of those delicious curves makes it all worthwhile.

And I'm as happy as Larry when she offers to show me around her city before I leave.
I'm captivated by her alluring smile and warm personality the more time I spend with her.
I know I have to fly back to England, but she makes it even harder to go back there.
I hope we'll meet again...soon

This was a pretty good book. Ginny Peterson thought she had it all great job, great friends and an even greater boyfriend until she caught him cheating with another woman. Ginny buries herself in her work until her friend Kari convinces her that she needs a night out on the town when she meets Tristan Armstrong a British tattooed billionaire with an accent that curls her toes! He’s rich, powerful and can't keep his eyes off Ginny and her delicious curves. This was a really good book although I don't think I could do the long distance relationship thing. I really liked both of these character's and I also liked Ginny's bff Kari. I didn't like Ginny's ex Brad he was creepy to me. The sex scenes were hot. When I started reading this book I didn't know that this book had a cliffhanger thank god book two is already out This was my first time reading this author. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

This is an amazing story but I was not happy with the end. Yes, it ended too soon. Nothing wrong with that except that I was not ready for it to end. So with that being said, I loved this one. Ginny was trying to get over a bad breakup and with the help of her BFF Kari, she just might do that. Meeting Tristan at the club was something she was not expecting but she was happy about it. After all, he is British and that sexy accent has her swooning. After spending most of Saturday with him, he has to leave early Sunday going back to London. She doesn't want the time to end. So they exchange information and she friends him on Facebook. They will keep in touch that way. After a few months messaging and talking on Skype and venturing into unknown things for Ginny. She loves it and the feelings are growing between them. But there are over 5,000 miles between them. Can they make a relationship work? Will Tristan talk his father into branching out to the States and then he can be with Ginny? What will Ginny do when the ex-boyfriend turns back up? This is a first for me from Amanda Heartley and I can't wait for more.

Hot English accent, tattooed dirty talking, setting, Tristan... sign me up. He has morals works hard and is yummy... Ginny is an easy going down to earth smart 23y.o who was cheated on by her boyfriend. Oceans apart is a really good romance story with an ocean between the H and h. Throw in a crazy stalker ex (h' s) money Hungrey femme fatale (H' s) and the odds are not in favor of our couple. Good short read, cliffhanger but all next books are out...

Hot, steamy, couldn't put it down. I was so into the book that I had no clue that it was about to end and almost threw my iphone across the room when I realized I had to wait until book 2 to continue! OMG! If cliff hangers make you mad be forewarned.

But the story is great. Ginny and Tristan are so into each other that it doesn't matter if they can't actually touch - it's still hot!

This was a good read. Ginny meets Tristan while out at a club one night. They spend the day at the beach before he leaves to go back to England. The problem is that neither can get the other one out of their heads. They spend a lot of the book messaging each other back and forth. It causes some drama but the ending was crazy. I look forward to seeing how it's all going to play out.

Ginny has decided to finally move on with her life after her break-up with her boyfriend Brad. She broke up with Brad when she caught him cheating on her and she was pretty upset for a while.

She decides to finally go out with her friend/roommate one night and she runs into a hot british man at the bar. They get to talking and hit it off. They decide to meet again the following day for a day at the beach and get to know each other a little better.

Tristan goes to the States for a meeting with his dad. His dad owns a company in England and is pretty wealthy. Although Tristan comes from money, he doesn't care to have a cushy job behind a desk and a computer. He likes to work out doors and get his hands dirty.

When he meets Ginny he instantly likes her. They decide to exchange numbers and start a long distance friendship that later turns into more. They both have feelings for each other but it's hard for them to do anything or express how they feel through text message or via webcam. But things heat up between them and let me tell you.....the scenes were freaking hot between them when they start sexting and then when they meet again via webcam.

I find it hot when they do the whole sexting. I've never done a webcam especially an erotic one like them but it sure sounds hot and fun.

I thought this first part of Ocean's Apart was wonderful.

Amanda doesn't seem to fail me when it comes to her stories. I am antsy for the next part because it left off in a cliffhanger, but I don't mind the cliffhangers at all. I find them more intriguing and I love the feeling of anticipating the next book.

**I was given an ARC for an honest review**

I totally recommend this book, it was magnificent and totally HOT!!

Starts Out Sweet and Ends Oh so Sexy!

Oceans Apart is the first book I have read from Amanda Heartley and will not be my last. I enjoy her writing style and the balance of the story line.

Virginia or Ginny as she goes by, has been betrayed in the worst way. Sure it has been six months or so, but she isn't ready to give love another go just yet. Ginny concentrates on work while moving on from the past and living in the now. That type of living includes her best friend and attention getter, Kari. While at the club one Saturday night, Kari accidentally finds the perfect guy for Ginny while giving her a pep talk. Enter Tristan Armstrong.

Tristan is in town for business, then headed back to his home in England. He was sitting at the club to unwind from his stuffy life while away. Never in a million years did he think an American girl would tickle his fancy like Ginny did.

This is where the story gets interesting as I am a big fan of email and texts back and forth between couples. After spending some time together, Ginny gives Tristan her Facebook information and they promise to keep in touch. Boy does Tristan keep in touch, he is explained as an English business man (with a few book boyfriend traits hiding under his suit), but give this guy a computer and he transformed in my mind. This is where the book amped up the sexy a few hundred notches. Tristan said and typed such sweet and dirty things to Ginny-I loved it!

The relationship is difficult for Tristan and Ginny to navigate from 5,000 miles away. As I was reading, I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop. Which it does. In a big way. The book is well written and I am on pins and needles to see what happens next. Thank you Amanda Heartley for the opportunity to read it.

Slow to start but oh so worth it. Genius!!!

The build up is phenomenal!

Oceans Apart is a very sweet romance about two people who instantly have a shared comfort with each other they can't explain. They spend less than 24 hours together and instantly enjoy what little time they have together enough to be long distance friends. And as the duo learn about each other, they favor their time they have to spare enjoying each other from afar. They tell each other their hopes, dreams and their fears. When their trust and companionship adds lust they become closer than ever and in need of more. Friendships are tested, hopes and dreams are what keep your day bright. All to leave you at the end of your seat screaming for more, this is an amazing story of love and hope.

I need more!!!!!

So into this book and then the author hits me in the face with the cliffhanger 😩. I am still a bit upset about that I am going have to find the budget to get the rest of the story that drew me in hook line n sinker.
Even with that said this was well written and really enjoyed the book, I found the story relatable.

Wow! Long distance relationships are a tough one, though Ginny and Tristan are doing just fine until their wants are getting the better of them. This book finished with a cliff hanger and I immediately bought book 2. Must go and see what THE HELL happened!!!!!

A FANTASTIC READ!!!!!

This is a fantastic read. But OMG do I want to bang their heads together!!
On a night out to the local nightclub Ginny and her best friend meet a handsome British man called Tristan. Ginny and Tristan have a dance and end up making plans to go to the beach the next day. Sadly he is only in the USA for another day before returning home. They have a fantastic day together and when she drops him back off to his hotel they exchange there details and plan to stay in touch. But are there secrets to be learnt??
Well months of talking and skyping just make them closer and when they finally see each other again it just feels right.
But there is soooooo much more going on in this book. The twists and turns will keep you on your toes.
Roll on book 2 ive got to start it right now!!!!!! I just cant wait, I think I'm in for a long night of getting lost in Ginny and Tristan's story
WOOOHOOOOO A FANTASTIC READ !!!!!

A new author to me. This story is a 3 part series. I wasn’t sure I would like the fact they were in a long distance relationship and I do think that took away from, the chemistry for me. Ginny Peterson just had her heart broken by her cheating boyfriend, Brad so her BFF Kari drags her out to their local night hopes some alcohol might just give her the liquid courage and confidence to dip her toes back in the dating pool. Tristan is a sexy Brit who has had a hard week in LA full of meetings and stuffy men in suits and just wants a drink to try and relax. Both are deeply attracted and now must try and figure out how to make this work.

This book is a first for me from Amanda Heartley so I wasn't sure what to expect. It was quite different from anything I've read lately and quite a nice change of pace. Amanda gives us Ginny and Tristian who meet one night while out clubbing. There's an instant attraction, but not an instant romance. Ultimately, they wind up 5k miles apart and get to know each other via skype and social media. (shocking, right?) The book was well written with characters that were relatable. Be advised, there is a cliffhanger at the end, not a huge one, but one that make you go hmmm. It will be interesting to follow and see where it leads.

Ginny meets Tristan at a club after her ex cheats on her and her roommate Kari forces her to go out. They have a great instant connection and decide to spend the next day together. Their attraction grows, but Tristan has to return home, thousands of miles away. They take advantage of technology and *really* get to know each other. I like that they didn't rush into a physical relationship, they actually got to know each other. There was plenty of heat despite the long distance, as well as humor. Ends on a bit of a cliffhanger, not too dramatic, but I can't imagine not going right into book 2.

I don't like cliffhangers and prefer to read the whole story in one book but I like Amanda Heartley's writing and so decided to give this a shot. I was not disappointed. Ginny and Tristan have their own issues going on in their lives but once they meet, it's like electricity hit. It's just too bad he lives in London and is only in LA for a couple days. But the time they spend together is steamy and electric.

This is part one of three so yeah, there is a cliffhanger ending. I absolutely, positively loved meeting Ginnie and Tristan. Well to be honest there is a few more characters but these are our prime two in this story what a sweet and hit relationship these two have. All at over 5,000 miles apart. The long distance thing appears to be working but all blows to hell when Tristan comes back to LA to surprise Ginnie. Can these two get back in track? I cannot wait to find out! Off to part two! Enjoy!

3,5* for the good start to the series

First part in the series was quite enjoyable read. Was really well written and it was good to get to know the main characters and people who are closest to them. Of course it ends with a cliffhanger and just made you think about starting to read the next part so best be ready to binge reading because this book just sucks you in and won't let you so easily to put it down. Some seriously hot and sexy scenes, a few dramatic events and quite a lot angst and uncertainty. There's a lot going on and that's just a beginning of the story...

Think I might have had an older version though 'cos books 1 & 2 appeared to be one book to me. Nevertheless this was a really good tale of an extraordinary meeting between a wealthy construction brit & a paralegal american curvy girl. Chemistry was off the charts but real life had a habit of getting in the way. Could they possibly move on from a mere hot as sin attraction to something more? Read on, you will not be disappointed. I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.

Ginny has a hard go of it in the beginning with catching the ex and then immersing herself in work until the night she goes out and encounters Tristan with the melting accent. Once they go their own ways, the ache is form real as losing a limb that the heart aches for each other and growing. The scenes are hot for sure!
