The guardians face the wrath of Ari when they make another attempt to free the banshee. The girls cleverly defeat him and the banshee escapes—but she takes Maqi with her! The girls and Ari search for Maqi and battle with a throng of banshees. A bad fall endangers the life of Maqi, but the guardians’ gift of regeneration brings him back to life! Meanwhile In Heatherfield, the Guardians’ astral drops create their own uproar when they start to feel resentful of their masters and decide that it’s payback time.

"Last time on W.i.t.c.h."
Insert throwback here of me saying, begging, in my review of issue #29: I really hope this arc doesn't end in a "fix it" cliché for someone's sanist wet dreams. That's such a terrible message and a faux pas already back in the early 2000s.
So, they did it. They "cured" Maqi's condition. He speaks, he smiles, he outwardly recognizes his ableist sanist father. Everyone is happy and we're all friends now, bitterness, grudges, revenge and wrongdoings forgotten. Cue happy end. NOT.
Great job, staff. Great job, Disney. Way to go on making people outside your idea of typical feel bad. Way to go on perpetuating stigma... Congratulations! And to think this was even republished in paperback format back in 2017. How has this gone unchallenged for so long?? Wow. I'm done

Allora disappointed but not surprised per il finale e il risolversi della saga, che sinceramente non mi ha convinto e mi ha lasciato piuttosto scettica su tutto lo svolgersi degli eventi. Le ragazze si sono precipitate di nuovo ad Arkhanta dove affrontano Ari e liberano la Banshee che rapisce Maqi e scappa. Ovviamente tutti a cercare il frugoletto con tanto di battaglia con altre banshee, la caduta di Maqi e la rispettiva guarigione per mano delle witch. Nel frattempo le gocce astrali sempre più (a ragione) irrequiete iniziano a fare dispetti.
Speriamo in una saga un po' più decente e magari più vicina alle prime avventure.

ngl i'm not enjoying this arc as much, the only plot line i was excited about got resolved pretty fast? in order to give place to the astral drops' story line WHICH idk man, i'm not nearly as excited for it but we'll see how it goes!
