For Luca is the conclusion to For Fallon. It was fast paced, a little angsty, and full of suspense and steam.
“My love for you hasn’t mysteriously evaporated into nothingness. It’s still there. It’s deep, but it’s tainted now, buried under a layer of mistrust and lies.”

Starting a relationship that’s based on lies and secrets from both parties is not the way to go. Fallon and Luca had to learn that the hard way. They have love, but they don’t have trust. They have lies, they have secrets, they have betrayals, but no trust.

 photo e3c3f97d-4349-41ea-b78f-1df633624ac1_zpse9438549.jpg

Fallon loves Luca. There is no denying that. And he loves her wholeheartedly. But the things Fallon knows about Luca’s job gets to her. Her actions in the first half of the book at times were very frustrating to me. Through it all, Luca tried to be there for her the best she would let him.
I just want her close to me. All. The. Fucking. Time. I’m like an addict who’s missed his fix for too long.

Luca prides himself on having control. With Fallon, he loses it all. She makes him a loose cannon. Something he’s not used to being. It’s effecting his job, his life, his sanity. There is so much back and forth for more than half the book. Then some terrible things happen to Fallon, and Luca is there to help pick up the pieces.

 photo e78a018b-c7ec-469e-b0e4-b19134b4407b_zps9dedaef2.jpg

Fallon is broken. She’s empty. She’s lost so much of herself. She struggles with things that have happened, things that have been done to her. And Luca is the only one that can make it okay. Make her feel safe again.

Luca has this passionate all consuming love for Fallon. Even the times she doesn’t deserve it, he’s there for her. His love is unwavering and I loved him for it. I only wish Fallon could have gotten wiser to this earlier. Loved him and accepted him for the man he is, not the job he has. He’s not just an underboss. He’s a lover, a protecter, he’s a man who has and always will keep her safe.

 photo 2b48abba-e415-4164-954d-037424952b68_zps7333cfe4.jpg

He’s the good one in my life story. He might be an underboss, but he’s mine, and he loves me fiercely and without boundaries. He loves me with all of his heart and is the only man who could understand my few dark parts.

As with the first, there was plenty of action, suspense, mystery and steam. I found that the writing was much stronger in this book than the first. The reason it wasn’t a 5 star read for me came down to two simple things. The first being it had a huge pet peeve of mine and also, I felt like there was just too much going on at times. Still, I enjoyed For Luca. I love the mafia books/romantic suspense genre and after that little bomb was dropped at the end, I’m super excited for Adriano’s book!
He fought for me, he protected me and he put me back together, broken piece by broken piece.

Wow!!!

I LOVED this book!!!

If you're reading this review you would know this is a follow up from book one- For Fallon

Book one left us with a slight cliffy wondering what was going to happen and wow didn't I not expect this.

I have to say the writing is much better in this book as well as the story line, I guess it's because in book one I was still learning the characters and their roles.

With this being said this book totally surprised me.

The story line was amazing. I did not expect so many things which happened.

Fallon- let me start on what I think about our Dolezza...

In the beginning I couldn't understand why she was acting so weak but as the story line progressed I totally understood. Shame! This girl has been though sooo sooo much and Infact she is so strong!

Luca- I have endless love for this man. When he loves... He loves wholeheartedly!

It's astounding and refreshing. The way he gave Fallon her space when she needed it but looked after her at the same time.

This story is fast paced which keeps you totally hooked and there are other characters which I have grown to love namely Adriano...

I am so psyched that he is getting his own story!

In conclusion- book two was amazing! People can't be judged for what they do... It's who they are that counts and how they love you....

3.5-4 Stars!

For Luca by Soraya Naomi is the second book in het Chicago Syndicate series and the continuation and final part of Fallon and Luca's story. Once again, their story was filled with many unexpected twists and turns that kept me intrigued throughout the entire book. Aside from some minor issues I had with the heroine and the fact that it took me a little while to get into the story, I really enjoyed Luca and Fallon's story and I'm looking forward to book 3, where Adriano will get his own story as well.

After the events of book one, Luca and Fallon have a hard time moving on. The lies and deceits that occurred between them, make it hard for either of them to trust the other, but when old enemies come looking for revenge, Fallon has no one else to turn to but Luca. And Luca will do whatever it takes to protect the one woman who holds his heart, even if they may never fully trust each other again.

Just like in book one, I really enjoyed this author's writing style and the way she was able to balance out the "darker" themes of the story with some "lighter"/romance-filled scenes. However, I did have some trouble with the heroine's reasoning and indecisiveness and the lack of communication between her and the hero. They kept pushing each other away and their lack of trust in each other, however understandable, made for quite a bit of drama that could have been avoided.

"He might be an underboss, but he's mine, and he loves me fiercely and without boundaries. He loves me with all of his heart and is the only man who could understand my few dark parts."

If you're looking for a fast-paced, suspenseful maffia romance with a bit of angst and a sweet happy ending, I would definitely recommend giving this series a try.

Wow! There is so much I'd like to say about this one, and yet so much I don't want to give away! I will start by saying that this is book two in the Chicago Syndicate series. The first book was "For Fallon," and this one is "For Luca." I have to say that one of my main frustrations with this story was Fallon this time. I felt she was very hard on Luca, and there were times I wanted to slap her silly! In saying that though, you have to realize that Luca is no wimp..This guy is a hard core Under Boss of the Chicago Syndicate, and he isn't exactly the most truthful dude around. One thing about Luca though that I fell in love with was how he could be a major bad ass mafia dude with a core of steel; and yet, when it came to Fallon his dark character turned to lightness. He has such a soft spot for her, and just wants to protect her and love her. Now, if Fallon would get with the program, then life would be good!

There is a lot that goes on in this book. Not a boring spot to be found in my opinion! It is a dark read though, and there are events that happen that some would not like to read. If you are a dark lover like me though, then you want to get on board with this one! I loved how this book was a mix of a dark read, as well as it had beautiful fairytale moments. It truly did, and I found those romantic moments helped give the read a perfect balance heavy and softness. Soraya Naomi does a wonderful job writing a sex scene with sizzle too. I loved the moments with Fallon and Luca..they were HOT..There were a few scenes, I will even admit that I did read more than once!!! *blushes* They were that good!!!

The biggest question that arises through out this book is; will Fallon be able to accept Luca for who he is? ALL of him...because I got to say; Luca will stop at nothing to protect her. I totally fell in love with him all over again in this book..In fact, I think I fell even harder. He was just the perfect man..well...besides the fact that he is part of the mafia, and will torture anyone who harms a hair on Fallon's head!! Fallon sums it up best when she explains:

"He fought for me, he protected me and he put me back together, broken piece by broken piece."

"He's the good one in my life story. He might be an underboss, but he's mine, and he loves me fiercely and without boundaries. HE loves me with all of his heart and is the only man who could understand my few dark parts."

Fallon has alot happen to her throughout this story, and the question remains; will she be able to stay strong? Or will she crumble under the pressure? And will Luca finally have enough of her hesitance about them as a couple, or will he continue to have faith in her and keep their love alive?

My only reason for the four stars, is that Fallon really did get on my last nerve regarding her decision making skills when it came to Luca. I apparently don't have near as much patience as he did with her!!! Other than that, it was an awesome read! No cliffy..YAY! I highly recommend this read to anyone who loves a good dark read!!!

”To lie or not to lie: that’s what it all comes down to with us, every single time.”

Soraya Naomi wraps up Fallon and Luca’s story in this sequel and the next book in the series will be based upon different characters. I really enjoy her writing but to be honest I felt the story was slow going for the first portion and I struggled to stay on task of reading on. I also found Fallon pretty stubborn and frustrating for the first portion of the story.

”My love for you hasn’t mysteriously evaporated into nothingness. It’s still there. It’s deep, but it’s tainted now, buried under a layer of mistrust and lies.”

Fallon has cut Luca out of her life, Luca is drinking and angry and they aren’t together for a good portion of the story. A note links Fallon to her boss’s death her and leads a ton of craziness to her doorstep including a sex/fight club, a crooked cop, and an angry lover. Fallon suffers a lot of loss in this book and struggles with trusting in Luca and I wondered if they would ever find a middle ground to love one another.

”Mi manchi anche tu. I miss you too. But we bring out each other’s weaknesses. We don’t trust one another. Can you accept me? All of me? Even when I come home with blood on my hands? No, you can’t. I’m a killer. I’m a drug dealer.”

The story had several twists and turns and was a bit frustrating because of the couple’s mistrust of one another. Overall, this was a decent conclusion and the writing was well done and had a sweet ending.

"He's the good one in my life story. He might be an underboss, but he's mine, and he loves me fiercely and without boundaries. He loves me with all of his heart and is the only man who could understand my few dark parts."

I've been so looking forward to the conclusion of Luca and Fallon's story, from the ending of the previous book I knew it wouldn't be an easy ride for our couple. Trust was at an all time low, suspicion at an all time high and it was this mistrust and suspicion plagued them and their relationship for the majority of this book.

Fallon is a very precarious position. The man she loves is not who she though him to be, along with that she finds herself also under suspicion from outside sources. The little she knows about The Syndicate both frustrates and endangers her. Admittedly I could have shook her on occasion for her sometimes juvenile behaviour but on reflection, she has always had a tenacious streak so to accept so willingly would not have been true to her character.

 photo 75217777-FC20-41FA-8EC2-4155D92A22DD_zpsp28jzdlc.jpg

In Luca's case I felt he was more distracted, sometimes sloppy in navigating his feelings for Fallon and trying to control the situation on a wider scale within The Syndicate. He remained protective as ever, which I loved to see; no matter how much Fallon tried to push him away. A man in love, his passion never wavered but even notoriety and infamy couldn't protect him from the feelings of uncertainty he encounters.

“I think I always trusted you to have my best interest, but when everything came out, my fear forced me into a certain behavior....”

Fallon unfortunately is caught up in the crossfire and experiences some horrific events. I think it was after that, that I started to give her a break. It also helped that she finally comes to the realise that Luca is For her and not against her.

 photo 90DA6867-9EDE-427C-9EA2-5C39C2AFDFFC_zps1u8jdgoj.jpg

I loved the Epilogue, it was a long hard road but they achieved they ending the deserved. Luca will always be one of my favourites, he was an unapologetic member of The Syndicate and a romantic; a definite heady combination.

description

The much anticipated sequel to the Chicago Syndicate Series by awesome Soraya Naomi is here with even more passion, drama and crime. And two people fighting their demons for a chance at love.

Luca and Fallon

description

Luca's secrets and mafia involvement tore them apart. Now they are estranged, miserable, desperately lonely and completely lost without each other. Their hearts are bleeding wounds they can't heal. They struggle staying away from each other and with moving on with their lives. But is it possible to forget? No. So, the next move is to learn to forgive the mutual lies deceit and fight everyone that tries to keep them apart...

Darkly erotic and fast-pacing this book kept me on my toes and got my heart racing. Soraya Naomi writes a complex story about criminals and mafiosos and she got me really intrigued and worried. I loved Luca and his sense of loyalty. I hated Fallon for her indecisiveness, second-guessing and inability to communicate her thoughts and feelings. I want to learn more about Adriano. All these emotions from a single story... That's this series. Brutal, raw and passionate. Great read and recommended if you are into mafia-related books.

Can't wait to see what Soraya has next in store for us! :)

A small teaser... *wink wink*

Excerpt: Luca’s point of view
That evening, James and Salvatore – my Consigliere - meet Adriano and me at my penthouse where the doctor stitches us up and provides us with some pain medicine.
As we stand around my black granite-top kitchen island, I look at their weary faces.
James starts. “Any ideas who did this?”
Adriano answers as he twists his golden lighter between his fingers, “Leggia maybe? We should check with Biagio,”
“I’ll set up a meet with Biagio,” Salvatore offers while sliding onto the barstool.
James looks me in the eye. “I don’t like this. This is the first time our headquarters has been targeted. It could’ve been Leggia’s doing, but I have my doubts.”
“So do I,” I agree.
“I want you two to get some rest for a couple of days,” James orders and points to Adriano and me. “And we don’t meet in public for a couple of weeks. Capito?” Understand?
We nod and part. Everyone back to their own life.
James will be welcomed by his wife, Alessa. Salvatore’s Julia waits for him. Adriano will be happy with a whore. And I’m alone. Without her.
As much as I want to, I can’t refrain from reaching out, so I text and call her a few times during the weekend, but not one word from Fallon.

Title:For Luca
Series:Chicago Syndicate #2
Author:Soraya Naomi
Release date: October 25, 2014
Rating:4 stars
Cliffhanger:No
HEA:

If you've read the first book, you've been waiting in anticipation for the conclusion to Luca and Fallon's story. I couldn't wait to get right back into the middle of things and finally get their resolution.

The Chicago Syndicate's players were introduced to us and we got a peek into this couple's love affair, which eventually led to horrible events that changed Fallon's perception of everything she thought she knew. Who is this man that she fell in love with? Did she ever truly know him? And will she ever feel safe again? What I wanted to know was, how would Fallon ever acclimate herself to this new reality and come to terms with Luca's world?

"You think I live in another world, but you forget that it's the same as yours. Nothing is what it seems. One day you'll understand that."

And most importantly, how can they ever get back to the place they were before everything fell apart?

Luca feels disillusioned at her hesitancy to accept everything and he's not feeling very patient. He's a feared and powerful man and he's not used to getting resistance over what he wants. His separation from Fallon is affecting his ability to do his job and that's a very dangerous thing. If his lack of concentration brings the attention of the boss or it could lead to disaster. But Fallon is stubborn in her refusal to forgive his deceit.

I like how Fallon didn't immediately cave and give herself to him after everything that happened. I was afraid of that happening too fast because that would not be realistic in the slightest. She comes from a totally different background than him, and I knew it would be a struggle for her to be okay with his life and everything it entails. Despite their distance, their feelings never faded, in fact they only seemed to despair more as time went on without each other.

To this day, she's still the first person on my mind when I wake, and the last person I think about before I drift off to sleep. She's permanently engraved in my heart, relentlessly bleeding through my veins.

Events from the past book come back to haunt them and start a chain of events that are catastrophic. And the only man she can think to be her salvation is the one man she can't seem to forget.

My heart was hurting for Fallon. She had some awful things to overcome in this book. She's now fully immersed in the Chicago Syndicate because of her connection to Luca her whole life is turned upside down even more than I had anticipated.

I love how the story unfolded, it was quite fascinating sinking into the gritty Syndicate and watching them find total acceptance of each other and peace again. There was a lot more disturbing and graphic things in this book than the last, some a little difficult to read because of how close I felt to the characters. But in the end, I felt like everything came together in a true and naturalistic manner. The epilogue was my favorite thing about it, it was perfection. Soraya Naomi has built a book with realistic characters and a plot with lots of twists and turns always keeping you guessing where the story is going to go. I'm looking forward to seeing where she takes us in book three, For Adriano.

I liked the first book but I LOVED the second book! I couldn’t wait to read and continue reading this book. I’m looking forward to more of this Author.

This book starts where the first book ends. Fallon and Luca are going their separate ways. Fallon is keeping some secrets from Luca.

My FALLON

My LUCA

Until she tells him the truth and asks for Luca’s help he is staying clear and focusing on the Syndicate. But will she come running back when she needs his help?

So much happens in this book and in Fallon’s life. That she is still coping is a miracle, I would have had a mental breakdown. Just as Luca thinks everything will work out between them, something big happens in Fallon’s life and she pushes Luca away once again.

These two are explosive in and out of bed. Luca is a dangerous man but for Fallon he will do anything.

I’m so sad that the story of Luca and Fallon is finished. The next book will be of Adriano and Camilla and I’m really looking forward to them, I am sure we will see some more of Luca and Fallon.

Favourite quotes / lines:

The betrayal and deceit we both places on each other aren’t easily forgotten

I was foolish to think that she was ever under my spell when I’m utterly dominated by her

This is me in my full underboss mode. No empathy. No compassion.

(Arc kindly provided by author in exchange for an honest review)

Finally!! The time has come, we get more Luca and the conclusion to this romantic tale of crimes and and passion...

Luca and fallon are utterly in love with each other, but there are so many lies between them and the lack of trust is keeping them apart. Turns out Luca wasn't the only one withholding information during the course of their intense relationship. Luca can't stay away from Fallon and he's now into a self destructive path fueled by her absence, meanwhile Fallon barely leaves her house and is feeling depressed over the breakup and everything that went wrong. If you thought the first book was intense you have another thing coming. They are both trying to re-build their lives and focus on their jobs, because everything around them is falling apart, but is hard when the grief of their lost love is always there.

 photo IMG_1798_zps07db9103.jpg

 photo IMG_1799_zps85d9df08.jpg

More people are after Fallon trying to hurt her and her desperation will make her reach out to Luca, realizing that no matter what, he's the only person who has her back no matter what. My heart really broke for her in this book as terrible things happened to her, but her true colors shined through, making her stronger and even more relentless, and I was happy to see this stronger side of her. Luca is also learning to deal with keeping a balance between his relationship with Fallon and the dangerous life he leads. He is a sexy and charming as ever, the sweet gestures and beautiful Italian terms of endearments are back with full force, securing a high place for Luca in my list of fictional boyfriends.

 photo IMG_1803_zps0856ce6b.jpg

Told by dual POVs this story had a lot of high points, but also some lows where I would get confused or even a bit unengaged with the story. Like every other Mob/crime theme novel, there was a lot of characters and a lot going on at once, giving me whiplash and confusion over the events. I feel like this story sometimes became heavy with too many details, and some I could have done without. In the end the heart and essence of this book is what we all ultimately love, a hot Alpha Male, who is desperately in love with a beautiful woman and he can't think of anything else other than to worship and protect her from everything and everyone. This author knows what we as readers need in a romantic story and I can already predict she will have a bright future writing enticing stories that everyone can enjoy and fall in love with.

For Luca is the second book in the Chicago Syndicates series and is the conclusion to Fallon and Luca's story. Fallon and Luca went through so much in the first book and I was pretty anxious to see if/how they would be able to work through their issues and find their way back to each other. Unfortunately, I was super frustrated throughout most of this book and I really struggled to finish it.

I think my biggest problem was the characters. Knowing how For Fallon ended, I expected the road to a happily ever after to be difficult. I knew that Fallon would find it difficult to forgive and trust Luca again and I expected her to try and push him away. But Fallon and Luca were SO DAMN STUBBORN! It seemed like they spent more time apart or fighting then they spent with each other and if I'm honest, I was really hoping for more interaction between the the two of them. I got to the point where their stubbornness and indecision became TOO MUCH and I just didn't understand where either of them were coming from anymore.

Final Thoughts
If you read and enjoyed For Fallon, please don't let my opinion of this book deter you from giving it a chance. Several of my book friends read and enjoyed For Luca and my opinion seems to be in the minority.

For Luca is my first read by Miss Naomi. To be honest, the plot has so much potential. The writing is choppy and tends to drag too long. Miss Naomi also inserting too many detail description into something that is not neccesary for the story.

What I like is the tender chemistry between Luca and Fallon. They both certainly bond by strong feeling toward each other. I picked up the second book. But reading the description I should be able to understand the story.

I feel like I have been waiting for the conclusion of this forever! I knew there would be angst and drama, but I have to admit, I was not expecting the twisty path Soraya Naomi took to the conclusion!

Again, I welcomed back the incredibly sexy, mysterious, dangerous, Italian whispering Luca

and the passionate, stubbornly sweet Fallon!

From book 1 until now the mistrust, the deceit, the lies all seem to be building up.

Is it really malevolent? or perhaps just poor communication? This lack clarity allowed the author to dig into Luca's character to bring out his anguish and pure emotion which I truly loved. That being said, I have to admit I was quite agitated with Fallon through most of the book. I felt as if she wandered thru indecisive and contradictory. I would have liked her character to stay angry to stay driven, but things didn't quite go well for this lady! Perhaps she just had too much to handle?

One thing is for sure, No matter time, space, or actions, Luca and Fallon are deep into one another. They have a passionate connection of lust, need and anger. They fight as good as they love...and they love oh so damn good!

Again, set with the backdrop of the dangerous Chicago Syndicate, murder and conspiracy are abound as Fallon and Luca do their best to survive. The violence is elevated and the lives that Fallon and Luca once lived are gone. This time everything is at stake...Luca and Fallon must fight for what they want, but fighting each other seems to be at the forefront of the battle. I recommend this series for all who like a dangerous, possessive man and who enjoy a hot romance that keeps you on your toes! I for one enjoyed the heck out of Luca and Fallon as well as their many missteps!!!

PS...Thank you Soraya Naomi for the amazing opportunity to be a character...Kelli Ann Collopy was quite a bitch, and I loved her!

I LOVED this book, and I can't recommend it enough, but I do recommend reading the first book in the series, "For Fallon", first so that you don't miss out on the background info leading up to "For Luca" and because it's a wonderful book as well!

"For Luca" takes off from where "For Fallon" ended with a small cliffhanger, and it never stops! Luca and Fallon work throughout the book to overcome the obstacles that Luca's Mafia lifestyle throws at them while Fallon battles her own additional problems, and throughout, the action, angst and gut-wrenching suspense just keep coming and coming. As soon as you think it might slow down, something else happens to tie you up in knots.

"For Luca" is everything I want in a romantic suspense--it's action-packed, it's super sexy, it's gritty, it has some dark parts, and it's full of trials and tribulations that push both Fallon and Luca to their emotional AND physical limits. (that Fallon is one tough cookie!) Add two sexy Mafia alphas on top of all that (we can't forget my man, super hot Adriano!), and you have a book that you just can't put down.

Like "For Fallon", I love that "For Luca" is intelligently written, has great character development AND growth, and I really love that we get to see more of the hard-ass, Mafia underboss side of Luca. Throw in some sizzling hot sexy times and one of the best epilogues I've read in a long time (Soraya Naomi gives Kristen Ashley a run for her money!), and "For Luca" completely socks it to the reader (in a good way!)

Although it was bittersweet to see the end of Luca and Fallon's story, I. CAN'T. WAIT. for "For Adriano" to come out in 2015! As much as I love Luca, I LOVE, LOVE Adriano's crassness and his smart mouth, and I think he'll probably end up being my favorite!

"For Luca" is the follow-up to "For Fallon" and is the 2nd book is the Chicago Syndicate series. "For Adriano", the 3rd book in the Chicago Syndicate series, will be released in 2015!

I could not wait to read this sequel as "For Fallon" ended on a cliffhanger: they went their separate ways.

For Luca is even better: it's more "mature" as their relationship evolves a lot, it's definitely darker and grittier, looking more like a dark read than the first book did.

Fallon and Luca are not together anymore. Fallon is frightened by Luca's world, she wonders what it says about herself if she can love someone like Luca, living in his own world where the rules are different, the law non existent except for the Syndicate's law.

Even if they don't see each other anymore, Fallon still misses Luca like crazy and Luca still has to protect Fallon. But each time they happen to see each other, Luca ends like a mess, drinking too much, loosing focus and Adriano has to cover up a lot for him. Fallon used to calm him, to be his solace but now she only puts him in a deep mysery, she is his weakness, his trigger. He wants to walk away, forget her but has a hard time doing it.

She used to be his positive counterpart, the free spirited one for his controlled side, her mere presence appeased and conforted him but that's no longer the case.

They'll have to come to term with their conflicting emotions and Fallon will have to learn to accept Luca's dark side if they want to have a future together.

Many things happen in this sequel and Fallon will be in danger at every turn. Real ordeals will happen to her and that's when the story took a turn to the dark side. I had to stop reading and could not believe what was happening. I was gutted really. All this drama will show us Fallon for all her sweetness and kind side has a steely backbone. Few could face what she had to like she did.

I loved the darker undertone, I loved the development of their relationship and I loved how Luca was always there for her. His love was unwavering and it pleased me because it spared a lot of angst. I hate it when the hero changes his mind, goes after other women, even if it's to come back to his true love by the end. It makes me anxious and I always feel betrayed, even if they were "having a break" in their relationship. Possessive and territorial me? Nooooo

Anyway, I was really happy with the plot as there are many enemies lurking in the background, things left unsaid or questions to answer. When you add a real love story and conflicting feelings about who the good guys really are, you have a very happy reader: me.

If you like mobster romance going progressively darker with unassuming but strong heroine and sexy alpha male, this is a good series.

I'm really sad to have to say this but this book just did not work for me. I couldn't stand Luca for most of the book and there were several issues I had with certain aspects of the story. I would not deter anyone from reading the book because I'm sure many will actually love it. I just tend to be more picky when it comes to the heroes behavior in a book these days.

I felt like he should have been more understanding with Fallon needing space. He wanted her to trust him and tell him everything, which was hypocritical since he lied to her throughout their entire relationship. He should have realized that he started something with an innocent woman who had never been exposed to his world and terrible things ended up happening to her. I get that he was always trying to protect her but she can't really have known that. If it were me I'd be wondering if I was going to end up like Adrianna from the Sopranos when the whole Alex incident took place. And when she does finally come to terms...he pushes her away and in the most cruel of ways!! What happened at the cafe was just so cruel I don't think she would have been so hurtful towards him had the roles been reversed. Most importantly, after what happened at the police station and with Colby (whatever the female police offers name was) he He wasn't there for her when she really needed him. He was always going on and on about wanting to be there for her but he was so easily able to walk away when she pushed him away.

I kept reading about how much he loves her, can't live without her, and would do anything for her and yet he was always putting the Syndicate first. One minute he loves her the next he's like

description
But then she's the one that's indecisive? Make up your mind! He just played hot n cold too much and I couldn't stand it anymore.

The book dragged a lot and there was a lot of repetition throughout the book that led to a lot of skimming. When something would happen we'd have to read the character rehashing the ENTIRE incident all over again to someone else. It was just unnecessary repetition and it made it difficult to maintain interest in the story.

I'll also be skipping Adriano's book since I know he was sleeping with other women while being intimate with Camille. Gross, no thanks!

Uhm...I'm not quite pleased with what I have read here but I'm not thoroughly displeased either...

So, I guess it's a pat position, and I can't move either forward or backwards...

Ah...

Well, the whole 'staying away cause of your own good' but 'can't really shake you off completely' kinda thing rubbed me off the wrong way.

I mean, he was a mobster, an underboss above all, and he just couldn't reach in the right place at the right time...hmmm

And then, Fallon-she either wants to move on or she doesnt, I guess she doesnt but she actually does but she can't and then the main flaw in it all-she fuckin misses him-Luca ( the man whose lifestyle she doesnt belong to nor she understands) but in the end she ends up being in his world after all.

But there lies a problem, I thought she ended up with him in the mafia lair cause she was stripped off every other possible option. So, even if she accepted her new life and re-new her love for Luca, when all of your options are taken away from you, that's not a choice...it's a one way ticket or bust.

So, well...it could have been better, and they both could have been more mature in their actions all considering...

4 Luca Stars!

See what I did there?
I know.Total genius ;)

This is book 2 and final book for Fallon and Luca's story of the 'Chicago Syndicate' series and it carries on from the cliffhanger that we finished at in the previous book. This continues with the dual povs so we get an insight to both Luca and Fallon's life since they aren't always together especially after what happened in book 1 and how Fallon reacted to everything. I was skeptical when starting this book it could have gone both ways Loved or hated. I wasn't too keen on Fallon's character and the way she reacted. At the start of this book she basically annoyed me and I wanted to shake her and scare GET OVER IT! but obviously that's not how it works..it should. Someone work out a way we can manhandle fictional characters and get back to me thanks :D

“My love for you hasn’t mysteriously evaporated into nothingness. It’s still there. It’s deep, but it’s tainted now, buried under a layer of mistrust and lies.”

But Soraya you did it. By half way I think..something like that Fallon changed well, developed and I actually started liking her Phew! And Luca ahhh what to say about Luca. Some parts he did some stupid things but hey dont all characters? I understood why he did it though because he didn't know Fallon's side of the story which was her fault. So much trouble could have been saved if she had just told him what was going on. Communication is key! But their relationship was started on secrets and lies which is never the way to go which is what Luca and Fallon both find out.

'I just want her close to me. All. The. Fucking. Time. I’m like an addict who’s missed his fix for too long.'

I thought this book might be slow at first but it wasn't and when the action and everything happened omg I was just so into it, flipping through it wanting to know what would happen next. There were a lot of parts I never saw coming which is always awesome!Fallon and Luca needed each other and they did love each other even when they denied it.They may have started on lies but their love was true no matter where they would go it would always play a big part in their life.

I really enjoyed this and can't wait to read more of Soraya's books especially For Adriano! Excited to see what will happen especially after finding out about who Camilla is.

For the most part, I enjoyed this book as much as the first one. However, I docked a star for a couple of reasons: 1) both Luca and Fallon acted immaturely when trying to deal with their broken relationship. The back and forth absolutely killed me; and 2) Fallon took too long to learn not to keep secrets from her man and to ultimately trust in him.

This book still had it all. Angst. Drama. Murder. Torture. Abuse. Suspense. And best of all, love. The love definitely leaked through each page, despite how much these two fought against it.

Please note: this book does contain a potential trigger

***I was gifted a copy for an honest review****

Soraya did an amazing job following For Fallon and honestly I think this book is even better than the first one. If you haven't read For Fallon, stop now and go get it and then come grab this one.

Starting off, she had me so mad at Fallon and hurting for Luca and I wasn't sure if Fallon could redeem herself in my eyes, but then the events that followed had me in tears and Soraya ripping my heart out!! I was one big emotional mess throughout the whole book but in a good way because it kept me invested in this book and having to know what was going to happen to the characters that I fell in love with from the very beginning. It was like a ping pong match on my emotions because one minute I'm laughing, then the next angry, crying then bam!! falling more in love with them. I will say for a few chapters I wondered if I was going to be able to survive the downward spiral on my emotions because I felt like she was slowly killing me with the events happening but all it really did is attach me to these characters even more and make the story come to life in mind. Once again, I'm so glad I was told about Soraya because she in one heck of an author and knows how to write. This series is a must read so grab it right now because you won't be disappointed.

For Luca blew me away Soraya did an amazing job bringing Luca and Fallon to life for me . There are times in this book when you just want to throw your kindle because you're so mad other times you are left with your mind going what the fuck and you want to cry. I'm very much looking forward to the next one . Soraya ended Luca and Fallon's story just right I couldn't ask for more .

*** I received a copy of this book for free from the author through I love Alpha Male books club on Goodreads in exchange for a honest review ***

I loved the first book “For Fallon”. It had just the right combination of romance and suspense for me. My heart was completely broken when I finished it and dived immediately into For Luca hoping that Fallon and Luca would soon get their HEA. But how wrong I was…

Many horrible events and a lack of trust make the distance between them enormous. Fallon’s strength and perseverance and Luca’s will to keep fighting for Fallon and protect her finally bring them back together. This story was a huge rollercoaster and had me sitting on the edge so often! But in the they get their HEA. I really loved the epilogue, I truly loved and needed that!

I’m really looking forward to start book 3 “For Adriano” and book 4 “For Cam” (not published yet). In book 1 we already read about their (non-)relationship and in book 2 we see lots of Adriano (and I like him more now than when I finished book 1) but only little of Camilla. I hope they’ll get their own HEA but will that be possible with a fun fact which was written almost at the end of book 2?

I loved this one and give it 4.5 stars!

Grrr, sadly I just haven't got enough time to write a nice, long gushing review because RL is just sucking up all of my time and any free time I have I am reading...

But I just want to say that these two books were amazing! Honestly. I bloody loved them.
I really like Syndicate stories and these ones are definitely in my favourites. Both books were worth every penny, and more! If this is what can be written for her first books, I cannot wait to read more.

Looking forward to Adriano's story next.
