Ok, I hate it when that happens...

I loved the story... like really loved it. The idea of Dez travelling in time to change her love life and Jax going after her to prevent her from writing him off, was brilliant to me.

I loved Jax, he was fun and so in love with Dez, that he was ready to move mountains for her.

But I hated, HATED Dez... I could never relate to her as I just thought of her as a drama queen, who didn't know what she wanted and changed her mind all the time, and put Jax through tests and ordeals he didn't deserve.

The end of the book was definitely a surprise.
And I know that everything was explained and justified in the end, including Dez's behavior, but just because it made sense, did not make up for the fact that I spend most of the book hating her...

That's why I was so torn about rating this book.
How much I enjoyed reading it: 2 stars.
How great the overall story was: 4 stars.
So, in the end, you do the math => 3 stars

How could you do this D.T?!

That ending.

This is the story of Dez, an 185 year old woman who goes back in time to change her life and be with another man Owen and not her husband of half a century, Jaxson.

The concept was amazing. Just everything about it.

Yes, this is a standalone novel.

I'm just blown away by everything, especially the ending. Very bittersweet.

I finished it in a couple hours and it's just amazing. You will though get frustrated with Dez a lot, a lot. But it goes with the story and her to be the way she acted towards Jaxson.

I am just in love with it and am glad with the way things turned out.

Go read it, especially if it's your first D.T Dyllin book.

I don't even know where to begin with this book.
Seriously I don't.

Dez and Jax have a timeless relationship. They love each other so much, but there are a lot of obstacles that get in their way and prevent them from happiness. I rooted for Jax the entire book. He is a hardcore alpha, not to mention, beautiful and perfect. I want to chain him to my basement and keep him forever (that's normal, right?)

I am still really emotional after reading this. It was SO GOOD. SO GOODDDDD!!!!!!
I don't want to give anything away so I'm not going to say anything else, but you should read this. It is different and sexy and I LOVED it!! SO MUCH!

Rewound is a story about love and whether it can stand the test (or tests) of time. It's a story full of passion and conviction and if it doesn't blow your mind and drop you to your knees, there's something wrong with you.

We meet Dez briefly as an old woman in the beginning, but somehow she is able to go back in time for a do-over. We learn that her husband, Jaxson, who she's known since college, is not the love of her life she believed him to be all this time. He betrayed her and kept that betrayal locked away in a drawer for years. Or did he? Dez wants to go back and do things right this time. She wants to pick Owen instead of Jaxson so she can live a very different life and end up happy this time. But when she arrives back in her college dorm room with her best friend, Shona, things don't go exactly as Dez had hoped.

Holy. Freaking. Crap. I love this book and I might just be in love with this author now. This isn't the first book I've read by D.T. Dyllin, but this is the first time she's made me feel like this. I expected a good story going into this, but I got WAY MORE than I bargained for.

I DONT KNOW WHAT MY FEELINGS ARE DOING

Rewound is such an easy book to fall into, with its intriguing storyline and engaging characters. At first I feared it might get confusing because of the time travel aspect, but it wasn't at all. There were a few things I stumbled across along the way that I didn't grasp at the time, but it was OK because I knew I wasn't supposed to understand them yet. The story was so brilliantly paced it was easy to slide right by those moments without straining my brain to figure them out.

The characters are awesome. Dez and Shona's friendship feels so real and timeless, and the "boy issues" Dez runs into when her new timeline begins had me chuckling. I love Dez and Jaxson, and I kept cheering Jaxson on, even though if I was Dez in those moments I probably would've wanted to punch his smug face right off. But no, he has become my answer the next time someone on Facebook asks, "Who is your current book boyfriend?" I never seem to have an answer to that question.. my mind always blanks.. but not anymore. Jaxson's long, lean body and sparkling blue eyes will be seared into my brain for quite some time. And it's not even just his hot body, blonde hair, and magical tongue that appeal to me. (Ooh, did I really just say that?) Maybe I should stop there before my descriptions travel any lower. *swoon*

water-throw

Ooh, thank you so much for that, Mr. Average. That's exactly what I needed!

So, besides the super hot alpha male, the incredibly steamy sex (and just the perfect amount of it)... this is a story about true love. I mean the truest, most profound love you could possibly imagine. The kind of love you might find in The Notebook. ;)

859537

The ending. *sniffle* Oh, God that ending... *SOB* ...it's a punch in the gut that rivals anything Nicholas Sparks has ever delivered. I never saw it coming. I was totally blindsided, and when the realization of what was happening hit me, I completely lost it.

right in the feels

Oh, you think I'm just throwing in a *sob* here and *sniffle* there to make this more dramatic? Well, you're wrong. This book turned me into something resembling a crazy, hormonal woman who just had her king size bar of caramel-filled chocolate taken away.

OK, I'm done. I just... I can't go on. I need to ponder this a little while longer. Like, a month or so. I feel so sorry for the next book I read.

My recommendation: READ. THIS. BOOK. Do it now! Then come over so we can discuss it over a couple bottles of wine and a few strategically placed boxes of Kleenex.

Once again Dyllin writes a book that leaves me unable to formulate my thoughts and feelings and instead I'm left babbling incoherently in the corner.. for an hour the only thing my brain would comprehend was OMG OMG OMG.
This is another easy to slip into book and the story moves along at a good pace. There are a few scratch my head 'wtf was that?' moments in the book but it all becomes clear later.
Dez and Jax's relationship, while not easy is definitely HOT. And as is usual for Dyllin's books the sex scenes are smoking. This is a story of a true relationship, not one of those semi perfect ones. These guys have issues and their relationship has flaws, but ultimately they find a way to make it work.

And that is as much as I am going to say because
A. I don't want to spoil it for you
and
B. I still don't know how to write it down properly.

Our Review

Wow ! What can I say what a great read.I was engrossed in the books pages from the very first pages. What a page turner !This was my first book from this author and will not be the last.I have several of her other titles in my to read pile that just got bump up on the list as I look forward to reading more from this author.

What if you had a chance to go back and time and have a life do over? Well Dez gets her chance and has decided to rekindle an old romance that she passed on so many years ago with her college sweetheart Owen. The problem is that her current hubby has travel back in time to make sure that relationship never has a chance to even spark.

Wow ! love the main characters of the story Dez and Jaxson and Shona. But, if I had to pick a favorite it would be Jaxson.Wow! that was one hot guy all rolled into one very hot and sexy package any women would kill for. Jaxon is not a very complicated character he is so in love with his wife that he will do anything to win her back even act the fool. His wife loves romance novels and her head is filled with fantasies of what true love should be so he is willing to act out her fantasies just to have her back in his arms again and in his bed.

I applauded Jaxson really he had the patience of a saint .Others would have walked away but, he stayed and tried to convince her that the truly did belong together. The problem is Dez is constantly pushing him away and he does not know why she left him to begin with. How could she not know how much he really loved her ?

I have to tell you this was one hot read. This couple definitely sizzled in and out of bed.The sex between this couple was explosive .Not only that but you could tell that they were so in love with each other it was sad that Dez keep letting her insecurities get the better of her. Jaxon pulled out all the stops to win her back that was for sure. But, Jaxson new that he could not lose the love of his life and that is what is on the line. There back in time starting over she no longer belongs to him and he could very well lose her forever.I felt Jaxson's pain ,his fear of losing his one true love forever. He really was very scared and afraid that he would not succeed in reality he was a confident and a level headed guy.

Dez on the other hand she annoyed me at sometimes.I have to tell you I wanted to smack her a few times. Dez and Jaxson truly belong together it's all her insecurities keeping them apart. She needed to get a grip with her hangups and get over them before its to late.I found Dez to be a very passionate and loving women regardless of what her head keep telling her.She could not seem to let go of Jaxson no matter what she tried. She truly did love him so that is why her actions were always so confusing.

This couple had a chance for a do over and fall in love all over again.Would there love be stronger this time or lost forever?

This book had a twist that you did not see coming that helped the couple along in there happily ever after. This was one wild ride with a surprise ending that had me crying ...

A recommended read to all.A great erotica romance with like-able and enjoyable characters and some very hot sex scenes.I enjoyed being on there journey together in finding there way back to one another. What a wonderful story.Looking forward to the authors future books to come.

What would you give to change the past? Something? Anything? Everything?
That's exactly what Dezzy does. She gives up everything to start again. But fate has its own way of dealing with things and here's where it gets interesting. You see Dezzy's husband Jaxson has travelled back too. And he's determined to keep her, no matter what. Hehehe Let the Games begin!!!
This book is romantic, seriously hot, a little crazy and everything inbetween. Some chapters are Dez and some are Jaxson, giving insight into both sides.
Jaxson and Dez arguing about romance novels is hilarious. Lol is that even a valid argument? Though I have to admit he's right about bonus points. I'd definitely give them to him :)
A very passionate pair, jaxson and dez. To still feel so attracted to someone after so long must mean a lot. Fate won't be denied. It also goes to show that what you want and what you need are definitely two different things.
Dezzys dreams.... oh my, how much better is the real thing if her dreams are like that lol. And jaxson, wow! So powerful - "rules set and understood" Game On!!!!
Suprise... seems jaxson and dez weren't the only ones to travel back. Lol love the girl talk between dez and her best friend Shona hehehe :)
Hmmmm Jaxson in torn jeans, leather jacket and a motorcycle. *fans self* nothing hotter or sexier..... if you dont believe me, just ask dezzy.
They also argue ... a lot. Its a kind of crazy deal, funny, but crazy lol. I don't blame dez for feeling the way she does, nor do I blame jaxson. I blame misunderstandings, miscommunication, misconceptions.
What follows is a riotous journey of jaxson trying to give dez her romance novel heroes, with him as the hero of course..... it doesn't quite work out the way he thought it would, resulting in dez finally admitting that she wants the real thing not fantasies.
When Jaxson tells Dez " Because your worth it, you always have and always will be worth it to me" I melted, but when he admits to himself " I could never love anyone, the way I love her. Simply put.... she just did it for me." Aww jaxson, even after everything you still love dez and want to take care of her <3
I think I fell in love with my first fictional book boyfriend lol.
And that leads to a suprise twist that I certainly didn't see coming.....It's sad. Beautiful, but sad. I almost cried.
Jaxson and Dezzy....... Always and forever.

I received a copy of this book for an honest review for my stop on the blog tour at Donnie Darko Girl.

Rewound hit me fast, and I couldn't get enough. I remember feeling disbelief when I saw I was halfway through the book already; I just didn't want it to end. The time travel aspect of the story drew me in, and the idea of going back in time for a do-over is completely appealing. I was even more satisfied with the story than I thought I could be. Rewound had me laughing, crying, and smiling, sometimes all at the same time!

Dez and Jax have been married longer than most people are alive. They love each other, and they have intense physical chemistry even after all of their years of marriage. I quickly became invested in their relationship even though from the synopsis I thought for sure I wouldn't like Jax. Surprise - I ended up loving him! Both of these characters are awesome yet have their flaws, too, which made them stand out as real people in my mind.

Their story flew by - I was that into my reading. Nothing could have interrupted me save for a tornado, and maybe not even then. The shenanigans they got into were so funny and at times sweet, and it was all in the name of happiness. We all want to be happy. If you had a chance to travel back in time and make different choices in the hopes of finding happiness, would you do it? I would, not because I'm terribly unhappy with how my life has turned out, but I'd love to relive parts of my life knowing what I know now.

I think the biggest surprise for Dez is when she realizes Jax has followed her back in time. She thought it was going to be a simple task - all she had to do was go back in time to fall in love with another guy instead of Jax, and then Jax would never have the chance to hurt her. This was a snap decision she made thinking it would fix everything and that she'd get her happily ever after. But I don't think she thought about all of the things that could potentially go wrong, and that Jax has followed her leads to all kinds of complications.

Rewound is creative and addictive, and I didn't want it to end. Ever. The writing and characters will draw you in right away and won't let you go. I know I'll still be thinking about this book months from now. It's THAT good.

What if you could go back in time and make your life different? Would you do it? Would you try to correct your mistakes? In this standalone book by the amazing D.T. Dyllin we read about a woman who thinks that coming back to the past can be the best choice for a happy life.

In a future world, Dez is more than one hundred years old when she decides to go back to her youth. What she never thought was that her husband, Jaxson, would follow her back.

The book is fast and exciting. We jump instantly into the action without further preamble. We read about how Dez is decided to change her past and we witness her internal fight between loving and hating her husband. The sexual tension is overwhelming and palpable. The author creates an intense relationship between the characters in a way that we can feel the friction and the passion.

Dez is a really complicated woman, voluble and imperfect but that’s what makes her the perfect heroin. I love the women in this author’s books because they are tridimensional and real, basically they are humans. As part of the feminine genre, I think the author writes about women who represent us one way or another. We are not easy or simple, we have complex personalities and we don’t always act rationally (especially in the name of love).

In case you are wondering, the travelling in time is easy to understand but the book is not intended as science fiction or anything like that, it’s just a minor detail.

This is the first standalone book by Dara and let me tell is you is magnificent. After so many cliffhangers written by her, I’m glad to say she does an excellent work creating a world so complete and solid in just one volume. It has the outstanding writing style we are accustomed and the detailed descriptions that we always enjoy.

Overall, a remarkable romance with great doses of sex delivered through high temperature scenes. I don't want to spoil anything but there were moments that moistened my eyes because of the emotion and sweetness in them.

*** I recieved an ecopy from the author in exchange of an honest review. ***

This book was phenomenal! Nothing could prepare me for how great this book turned out being. I was skeptical at first on the book because it isn’t my normal genre let alone the type of books I am used to reading but believe me when I say I was surprised. In the beginning I was confused but then I was so into the book my confusion got replaced with amazement. The way this story was set up was fantastic. I cannot imagine trying to put into play everything that happened and I can’t believe how well the author wrote it. The set up was so nice and you don’t even imagine it until you are at the very end.

The back and forth was upsetting until the end because you realized why it happened and then you were amazed at how well everything was put into play. The love that was at play can never be defeated and the love conquered everything else. It truly amazed me at how well everything turned out. I can say the ending had me in tears both terribly happy and sad. It was a “well-played” novel. I mean like when you meet someone and then you get in a situation and the joke is on you and you say “well played my friend.” YES this novel is exactly of that nature. It is a good thing I promise that much.

My favorite parts had to be the way they blended so well with their past lives and how well the storyline was set up. I can’t even begin to explain how twist and turned this story is. You will be kept on your toes and you can’t imagine the ending you get. I can say in all honesty that unless you read this story I am more than likely confusing the crap out of you and you should just go buy it. One thing I will end with is that this story is one you won’t regret and you will think about everything you have in life and appreciate it a lot more. You will also hug the one you love and look at them differently. You will see that they are so important to you and you are lucky that your love isn’t tested. I hope you love and enjoy this book as much as I did.

Rewound is the first book by D.T. Dyllin I have had the pleasure of reading. I have seen her name about a million times and I know she is an all-around awesomazing human, but I have never had the opportunity to read one of her novels. However, after reading this book in just two days, I am going to have to purchase the rest of her books like immediately.

Rewound is a stand-alone novel written from the perspective of Dezdamona (Dez), our leading heroine. I really enjoyed her character throughout the book--she's different in the way that she is painfully realistic and imperfect in her own ways, but she's still gripping and captivating. She sucks you right into the novel and makes you want to know more about everything, about her life, about Owen and Jax.

JAX.

My god is he sexy/a dick. He grated on my nerves constantly but throughout I was still rooting for him in the relationship lol Owen is just...simple, to me. He's not exciting, he's not what you call protective or overly-caring and he's just kind of...there. Not a fan of him. BUT Jax, while he is a toolbox and a half (to start, anyway) I still kind of fell all over him. I loved the chemistry between him and Dez; they are both utterly flawed and it just makes them the perfect couple to fall in love with.

I would like to gush about the ending, but I don't want to spoil anything for you all. So I will have to stop here and just say it is not what you expect. O:) And, side note to distract you from evilness, the naughty scenes are ah-mazing. *drools* Ahem.

OMG where is my Jaxson? Anyways, I have very mixed feelings about this book and I'm not sure exactly what I thought. I cried at the end because well I wasn't expecting that at all and it just really hit me hard. I loved that it took place (well partially) in Pittsburgh because I knew most of the locations mentioned in the book. You don't see many books based around Pittsburgh so it was cool to read a book about where I live (but hopefully not for long). I wasn't thrilled with the story itself however, there was just a lot going on and I am still really confused about the part Shona played in all of this. Dez seemed awkward and annoying to me as well even after the Epilogue. The whole going back in time thing also kind of threw me.

This is still an interesting book and I can honestly say that I have personally never read anything like it. I would recommend it to other people.

I absolutely loved Rewound! It was a totally different type of story compared to your typical romance. It had me turning the page wanting to know exactly what would happen next. I loved all the characters although I found myself wanting to knock Dezs head against a brick wall sometimes for not being able to see what was right in front of her!

The ending however I was not expecting and left me completely speechless, it was something I never saw coming! I cannot wait to see what else DT Dyllin does next!

Who doesn't love the idea of being able to travel back in time? This book had me hooked from the beginning. Dez travels back to start her life over, a fresh new start. What she doesn't realize is that Jaxon follows her back as well... I do have to say OMG you kept me on the edge of my seat for the entire story. Just when I thought I had figured out where it was going, D.T threw me.. Then there was the ending, seriously?? LOL Loved this book and can't wait to read more from this author.. Amazing!! MUST READ!!!

This book took a lot of effort on my part to make it thru which is usually never a problem for me. I think it was a combination of the story telling style and the over the top drama for the majority of the story that made me want to put it down and not pick it back up. The saving grace for me was the ending which allowed me to appreciate why the story was what it was. Although it did bring the emotional response it was designed to, I can say I was glad it was over when it was over and I'm happy to have given it a try but likely won't read it again.
