It's weird to read the Attack on Titan manga after watching the anime. Attack on Titan feels like it uses the exact dialogue from the manga in the anime. It's a sign that the anime is good when it's that close to the source material, but reading the manga also isn't adding much more to the story. I'm still enjoying the manga because I love the characters and the world, but I feel like I would've loved the manga even more if I'd read it before the anime (though that might make me like the anime less).

Another excellent volume! The whole thing was on the edge of your seat thrilling! It definitely left us on a cliffhanger (how rude good sir), so I cannot wait to read Volume 4 :)

Está interesante. Sigue manteniendo mi atención.

El dibujo me sigue pareciendo muy agotador visualmente, pero en este tomo han habido unos paneles que han estado 10 de 10.

While it's still pretty good and it's setting up how the rest of the series is going while showing a bit of an alternate run at the same time, the action slowed down some in favor of some interesting tactics.

Oh, and surprise! :)

HOW IS THIS SO ADDICTIVE?

I love how it's such a basic story but there are so many hidden elements to it. I'm enjoying trying to unravel the mystery of the titans along with the characters, but also the commentary on humanity. There's some big themes here that really get the wheels turning.

The characters are a lot of fun and Mikasa is an easy fave. She's unconditionally loyal and a badass to boot so it's easy to get caught up in the story from her viewpoint.

Also just enjoying Eren's growth with this new side.

Definitely continuing - I'm so hooked!

I love the two main characters but it is very difficult to recognize and gather information on any other characters because there are SO many and they come and go like the tide. If there are some of them I'm supposed to be remembering, it isn't working.

Well this part raises more questions than it answers.
Eren the secret weapon is interesting enough and some new characters are introduced

This is the battle we can fight… This is the struggle we can undertake.

A daring plan is formed utilizing the power of Eren. As expected this doesn’t turn out as perfect as it sounds (still find Armin his strategies not nearly as brilliant as they are purported to be). We learn of a new commander to humanity, who has some bad ass quotes: To give humanity a chance to survive I’m willing to become a butcher
This Commander Pixis is intriguing but a bit underutilized.

If a powerful non-human entity appeared, humanity would probably unite and stop fighting itself is another philosophical question he raises.
Based on the Covid-19 experiences I wouldn’t count on it.

Overall this volume seems to sing praise of reckless determination and belief, amongst other exemplified in:
That’s right… No matter how many die, we should keep trying!
This makes the overall arch of tension a bit lower, since failure is not an option and singular intent seems enough to achieve miraculous results.

2nd reading: I actually want to continue when I didn't want to originally. And I really want to know what Eren's father was up to. Adding a star.

~

Original review:
I don't know guys ...

I think the only reason I finished this was because I had two appointments this week that both ran behind so I had about 30 minutes of boring time stuck in waiting rooms.

That doesn't really say much about this, huh?

Or maybe it says a lot.

I do wish the art would get better quicker. It's the only thing I'm currently not enjoying and when I'm trying to figure out who is who and what's happening it's pulling me out of a great story! I'm really looking forward to finding out more about the mysteries and how things are going to progress

Also, I'm madly in love with Mikasa.

4⭐️ Review:

Got our first glimpse of Captain Levi in this volume.

The plot is thickening, so this volume is slower than the first two.

I love Armin.

Quite interesting. Love how it gave as a bit of Levi's backstory. I still feel anime has more details.

This is really an intense volume. I couldn't get enough of it.

So, I'm not really a fan of writing long reviews so I'll keep this short:

It's nice to see Armin's character to develop from a cowardly lad to a courageous intellectual soldier. He might be one of my favorite characters, but Rivaille will always be the first in my list :)

The art is still the same, but I've learned to accept it and love it as it is. Though, I am always welcome for improvements.

I can't wait to read the next volume, I know it'll be great- if not greater. :)

Animede Armin'in güvensiz hallerini görmek yeteri kadar sıkıcı değilmiş gibi bir de oturdum o halleri okuyorum. Ah be çocuk, kendine gel!

1. grafika
2. pravac kretanja priče
3. autor definitivno ne štedi svoje likove i oni nisu idealizovani
4. zarazno štivo (mnogo me kopka tajna koju krije ključ)
5. Mikasa <3 (ima je manje u ovom delu ali je apsolutna kraljica!)

"we're told that before the titans took over the lands, human beings were constantly murdering each other over tribal disputes and ideologies. back then, someone supposedly said... if a powerful, non-human enemy appeared, humanity would probably unite and stop fighting itself."

epic! 👌🏼

"Traitor".

"I really wouldn't mind being eaten as long as it was by a stunningly beautiful Lady Titan".

Sorry an out of context quote just seemed appropriate.

A lot happens here...the pace and story progression is fast and Eren is off to his family basement to see what his father has been up to.
