Book 1: Backstage Pass
Sasha has one rule when it comes to her dating life—never date a musician. She knows the way things can end, so she doesn’t let them get started. When she’s setup with one by her well-meaning best friend, she puts the brakes on before they even get going.
Jesse has a rule about dating too—don’t let a good one get away. And he knows right away that Sasha is worth the chase, no matter what her skewed stereotype of musicians may be. He lays it on thick with charm and nurses her back to health after a running accident.
Sasha knows she should give him a chance, but is he worth it? She’s seen it all go horribly wrong in the past. He can up and leave whenever he has a tour, and there’s nothing she can do about it. But as he continues to pursue her, she starts to question her rule and feels herself starting to let him in, whether she’s ready or not.
Book 2: You Only Live Once 1

He has no boundaries and an attitude that screams trouble. He admits that he likes to live life on the edge, exactly what Brooke is looking for.
So when they meet by chance early in their freshman year of college, it looks like a match made in heaven.
But things quickly take a turn for the worse when Brooke learns about Nick’s dark side—an obsession with fighting, taking drugs and sleeping around. Will she be able to take what he throws at her, or is she in over her head from the start? Elizabeth Nelson is a romance writer who loves to interlace reality and love with suspense and thrill. Her stories will tickle your fancy and leave you wanting more.
I gave this compilation of books a 2.75 star rating. I came up with that number by taking the average of ratings from each of the four stories.
The reason I stated the title was misleading was because some of these men you would not want to take to bed. I made a list of some of the characteristics of why I would or would not take these men to bed:
Jesse, Backstage Pass (3): this one I would take to bed. He is a pure gentleman. He will go out of the way for the girl he likes. He is also willing to let a girl know where he is willing to go with her romantically. He is also considerate and smart.
Nick, You Only Live Once (1): I wouldn't bed him if my life depended on it. He is cocky. He is a whore and it looks like he likes his girls to be whores. There is nothing redeeming about him. He had anger issues and he doesn't know how to have fun without taking drugs. He doesn't even benefit a girl's life. He will lead her off to her death, in my opinion.
Steven, Curiosity Killed the Kat (3): he wouldn't make it to my bed. He is sadistic and an abuser. He is a lawyer that is involved in criminal activity. He is a manipulator who likes his woman clueless. And he is willing to kill his wife to get ahead. A sad excuse of a man!!!!
Laszlo, Trinity (4): he is a man who is sexy and takes care of his responsibilities. He knows what he likes and is not afraid to go after it (and not in a stalker kind of way). He is willing to go the extra mile for his woman.
Some of these books I would like to read farther but some I would. Overall, this compilation is not the best.
So.. How can I put this? First of all the four books weren't too bad. I never got any Wauw-factor though.
The first book was very sweet even though the female character kind of annoyed me a little (with all her `I don´t date musicians`- thing) but that all made sense in the very end.
The second book I don´t remember anything not involving sex... Again I found myself disliking the maincharacters.
The third book I wanted to stop reading. That one has to be the worst. The female character annoyed me senseless!
The fourth book was actually really decent. I found myself rooting for the characters to be together. It was very sweet but you also knew what was coming so it wasn´t really that surprising.
Read: 09/11/2014 1st rating: 2 stars Genre/sub-genres: romance/contemporary Cover: 2 stars Will I recommend: No
Unfortunately when I started reading this book it didn't have any reviews, if only I'd have waited. I've said before I have no problem with authors releasing short incomplete books which lead to others or even just a few chapters hoping to get the reader to continue on by buying the book, I appreciate it's their job and they want to make money that's fine but I object to not being told, it's so frustrating to be enjoying a book for it just to end, without warning. I mean does it really work, I suppose it must do otherwise authors wouldn't continue to do it but personally it just annoys the hell out of me. I mean how difficult is it to put 'ENDS ON CLIFFHANGER' or 'INCOMPLETE BOOKS' I read the blurb before starting and there's no mention anywhere that these aren't complete books, I know I should have done a check on books by this author to see but seriously sometimes I just want to settle down and read but next time I'll check.
Not a fan, this series was a hangover from last year. I’d been looking for something new to read as I was stuck in a rut. Downloaded this sample set of four books from four different series, thinking if I liked the author there would be a whole plethora of new books to read. The first book was ok, I didn’t like the second or third, the fourth had potential. Turns out I am a romantic, don’t get me wrong I like sex in books but I think I prefer the build up and back story, rather than just sex for sex’s sake.
So four books by one author. I'm new to Elizabeth Nelson's work and I like most of what I have read so far. Backstage Pass is amazing. Love rock star romances. The first part of the series starts off good and leaves you wanting more. YOLO 1 also another awesome story. It's a very intense story and once I started I couldn't put it down. The ending leaves you wanting to know what happens with Brooke and Nick and if it can get anymore intense. Curiosity Killed the Kat... honestly this story wasn't my cup of tea. I don't know what is was, but I just couldn't get into the storyline. Trinity is another story that hooked me from the beginning. I love that it's not supposed to happen, but they are willing to try and make it work after Trinity tells Laszlo what resulted from them being together. It's a heartfelt story with a little bit of danger and lots of hot sex. Over all some great stories that I can't wait to continue ready more of.
I really enjoyed reading these stories.. I can't wait to get the books in the series so can find out what happened in each one..this was the first time I have read anything from this author but will be looking for more...I recommend this set to all but be prepared each one is a series and you will.have to.purchase the other books to finish them..
I liked these different stories. although the guy in the third book I will not be taking to bed. these are four very different stories that all take a different perspective on bad boy
These four books are steamier then anything I had read in a long time. I can't wait to see where everyone ends up. These are a must must must read! You are going to fall in love with each and everyone of these characters.
I had already read book one, when I got this set. book two was just way off track for me. it bounced from one thing to another. had my head spinning to much that I didn't even try to go into book 3. sorry to say I didn't find and men here that I'd like to take to bed.
Have read the first and last books and looking forward to finishing each series. Second was great wan to continue that. Third was crazy, definitely need to continue that.
