It starts off slow but picks up about 1/2 way thru. Then it ends with I can’t wait to read the next book.

The plot was ok, but the story seemed to drag on. Did not plan on reading book 3 until the last 3 pages. Now intrigue has caught me.

More readable than the first in the series, but too long for my liking.

three astronauts take off for mars after a rover there encounters another robot--not of earch origin. is this, as it claims, a messenger from the "father race"? the three astronauts, two men and one women, must face the isolation of space during the many months of the journey--which may lead to their undoing. meanwhile on earth, a terrorist is on the loose and the fbi is trying to chase him down--as there may be a connection between him and the messengers from the "father race".[return]this story was ok, but it seemed very unbelievable in both the plotline (all this is supposed to take place in 2012, and i don't believe a mission to mars could ever take place then) and the way the characters reacted to what was happening.

Mars beckons. The resolve of every character is tested as the Epsilon heads out on its sixteen-month mission, facing separation from family and isolation in space. On Earth the chase continues for the elusive terrorist mastermind while the FBI tries to decipher his strange code, and the self-proclaimed prophet is keeping the world on their toes with his predictions of a visit from aliens. The grip of the main pages is nothing to the twist at the end... be prepared for triumph, heartbreak, and being stretched out of your own comfort level as you take this journey with them.

Austin Boyd writes a very compelling and believable story in "The Proof." I think this book is much better than "The Evidence" with deeper development of characters, the mysteries of Mars lead John Wells into a great adventure that causes him to face his most challenging fear head on. As God's plan is revealed, the book takes many exciting and unexpected turns. No wonder this book was a finalist for a Christy Gold Medal. I'm looking forward to finishing this series!

The second book in the series. Well paced. It kept me reading to the end. I'm really looking forward to the last in the trilogy!
