In the third and final book of the Schasm Series, author Shari Ryan takes you on a final journey of the mind. As life likes to do, everything Chloe firmly believes in twists in the opposite direction. With three paths to choose from she can only choose Left. Right. Or Start Again. All the questions have answers, and the forces of good and evil wage an epic battle solely within the mind, leaving behind the constraints of reality. Talk about mind blowing! This series, by Shari Ryan is brilliantly crafted!

In book 1, you wonder whether Alex is real or just a fabrication of Chloe's mind.

In book 2, you wonder if they can go back and deal with the situations at hand or stay and pretend nothing is going on.

And then book 3, you wonder why secrets are being kept, question Alex on his actions... and wonder if they can ever get through the turmoil that always surrounds them.

The entire series in a phenomenal psychological thrill ride that will captivate you until the very end.

This series will make you question yourself, enjoy the time away from reality and enjoy the amazing, suspenseful, loving ride that you follow through the life of Chloe and Alex.

If you love romance, psychological thrillers and suspense filled books... this entire series is for you! It will keep you on your toes until the very end!

All three books combined into one awesome collection? Yes, please!

The Schasm Series was a unique, unexpected surprise. From the moment I opened the first book, I knew I was reading something spectacular. With dream-like sequences, daring intrigue, action packed adventure and phenomenal story telling, this series lead me down a rabbit hole like no other and entertained, astounded and consumed me with every page. The characters were interesting, the plot of was mind-blowing and the story was heartbreaking but also wonderfully adventurous and spectacularly original. If you’re looking for something different, something special and something that will change your reading experience, this is the series for you!

Here are a few quotes from my individual reviews of each book:

SCHASM (Schasm Series #1):
“In her debut novel, Shari J. Ryan writes an exquisite story filled with emotion, tension and an enduring romance. Its genre is Young Adult, but this book will engage and compel all ages.

I want to express how amazing this read is. It immediately captured my attention and kept me submerged with its intense, dramatic and dark story. It was never really confusing but it surely kept me wondering as every time I thought I figured out what was going on, I was thrown a new startling twist, then another strange series of events would slap me silly and take me on one heck of a mind trip. And I loved every phantasmagorical moment!” -- Craves the Angst

FISSURE FREE (Schasm #2)
“Bewitching and Imaginative. An Artistic, Schizophrenic Adventure that Will Enchant and Astound! I Couldn’t Put It Down!” -- Craves the Angst

“Shari J. Ryan, with her colorful storytelling and her beautiful writing style, has continued the enchanting journey of Chloe and Alex as they trip through The Drift in their physical, dream like world that will certainly draw you in and hold you captive from the first page, to the last. To say I was excited when I learned the second book was coming out, was an understatement. I loved this read in all it’s genuine intangibility. What’s real to one person may be false to another. But in this story, it’s all a matter of perception.” -- Craves the Angst

WHEN FULLY FUSED (Schasm Series #3)
“A Compelling, Thrilling and Wonderful Conclusion to A Beautiful, Haunting and Enchanting Story!”
“Absolutely Brilliant!! Wow, what a wonderful journey this series has been and with an ending like that, I'm in complete awe! Just an amazing read! -- Craves the Angst

The Schasm Collection – compromised of Schasm, Fissure Free, and When Fully Fused.

Schasm:
To be honest, I really wanted to hate this series when I started book 1. The pain and heartache that Chloe’s mother puts her through was very gut-wrenching. In my opinion, this was definitely a good psychological thriller. Once I understood the ‘mental illness’ that Chloe’s mother thought she was going through and trying to have her treated for, I was able to fall into the plot and flow through it. I found myself rooting for Chole’s drifts. She finally starts interacting in these “happy places” and runs into Alex, a vaguely familiar face who claims to know her from the past. He remembers so much of her that she has no memory of and neither of them can figure out why she doesn’t have the same memories. When she runs into her uncle that she didn’t know she had, I had all hopes that he could help her escape the horrid life that they has had for 12 years under her mother’s rule. Even as an adult, she’s not really an adult. Her mother has made it so that she cannot be considered a fully-functioning part of society with all the psychology appointments and even institutionalizing her. By the last few chapters, I was head over heels for Chloe and was immediately diving into Book 2, only pausing long enough to write a review.

Fissure Free-

You’re thrown right back into action with Alex and Chloe. The pace has not slowed down, which keeps it fun. You learn more about Alex and how he developed the ability to drift. Although Chloe’s situation is not resolved by any means, you learn more about Alex and his past 12 years of life. Alex and Chloe try to live a peaceful life, but her uncle isn’t about to let that happen. She has something that he wants and Chloe can’t convince him that she doesn’t know what it is or where to find it.

When Fully Fused –

Nothing has been resolved for Chloe and Alex. “Uncle Franco” is still after them and they cannot have their happily ever after. As much as they are trying to forget the real world, they can’t as Franco is making that impossible for them. Alex seems to be distancing himself and thinks he’s found a solution. Chloe needs to face her fears to end it. But what ends? Neither of them know. Chloe has to decide if she’s strong enough to take that risk. Would she want to face her fears to only have their lives end? She also fears that could be an outcome.
Do yourself a favor and you will not be disappointed.

As a whole, this series is stunning. And if you judge your books by their covers, look no further because the Schasm series has some of the most beautiful covers I have ever seen. The first one is my favorite of the three.

The element of this story that Ryan shocked me with in Schasm's first pages, was the antithesis of banality that it was, offering an absolute fresh romance that defined its genre. But that wasn't all. The author brought to the table the balance of a romance and a suspenseful turn of events wherein nothing was as it seemed to be, an edge-of-your-seat tale with world-building and imagery written in the most lyrical style, laced with the epic love that all romance fans crave. The characters start young, and experience growth together -- especially Chloe -- and as a reader, you get to grow and experience with them. They make you sad, and happy, and the characters mixed with the storytelling just warms your heart. The author has a grand ability for emotional connection, and you feel it when it's over. I'm going to miss Alex and Chloe.

With this series, I think Ryan has made a fantastic debut, and am very excited for the next pieces she puts out.

This is the entire 3 book series of Schasm. I also have a review of just the first book, Schasm, and it was so good I got the collection.
All three books are fantastic - the author has a complex mind to have created this series - and who knows what our minds can truly do? These books are about two young adults who have the same "condition" of the mind allowing them to travel mentally, leaving their comatose bodies in the real world. This is just fascinating.
I really recommend this series.
