You can fight desire…

Marie DeLou doesn’t want to believe that her life is anything less than perfect. After all, how could it not be? She has a thriving mental health practice and a doting husband who loves her. Still, when a freight train of a man tears through her quiet existence, she has to wonder if things—and people—are not always what they seem to be.

…but there’s no stopping destiny

Prince Patrick Alvang of the Noir Dera has one job to do--to save the Beacon of Light, Marie DeLou, from the danger lurking within her walls. But between her smoking hot body and her equally fiery attitude, his task is a whole lot more difficult than he’d expected. Lucky for him, it looks like the only way to get to the finish line is to play dirty along the way…

Warning: This book contains a sassy counselor, an aggressive Alpha male, and several erotic love scenes. Your ereader may melt! Adults Only!

RM Gary has three loves in her life: family, music, and books. More often than not, all three are intertwined. When not writing, pining for her cello, or enforcing the rules of bedtime, she can be found reading or thinking up new ideas to make her next story sing.

Today, RM lives in Florida with her three boy “wolf pack” and the amazing man who stuck a ring on her finger. She’d love to add you to the family, so feel free to get to know her through twitter @authorrmgarry, www.facebook.com/rmgarry, or contact her through www.rmgarry.com.

What an original story. This book surprised me so many times because of its originality. I loved the different language inserts, not too much to be annoying but just enough to be exotic, in the dialogue. The way the author sets up the story, you really feel for Marie from the first chapter. You want her to have someone to be her equal and care for her as she deserves. Her inner dialogue is very funny at times, especially when she's trying to figure out what to do about her attraction to Patrick in the beginning of the book.

The tension the author creates in the book really keeps you turning the pages. Marie is a ticking time bomb and everyone knows it but her. There's also some fantastic imagery created in the novel with the music created by Marie and the dark and light characteristics that we all have in ourselves.

This book was a great read. The story is unique and the world-building and backstory of the characters was well done. There is a mixture of mythologies here that richly compliment each other.

I would recommend this one to Romance readers that enjoy a Fantasy aspect to their book.

This is an AMAZING book! I have now found a renewed urge to read more than just my textbooks. It kept me up late nights turning pages. I am anxiously awaiting the follow up books!

I give it 4 fangs.

The Beacon of Sound: The Noir Dera by R. M. Gary is a stand alone book, but I would expect there to be more books to come. I highly suggest this book for 17+.

Marie has a great job and a husband she adores. Everything couldn’t be more perfect. Except nothing is what it seems. Marie is changing and trying to keep Marcel, her husband, from noticing.

Marcel isn’t what he seems either. He gives Marie a medicine that just doesn’t seem right. And now he introduces her to the neighbor, Patrick. A gorgeous man that gives Marie erotic thoughts. But Patrick knows more about Marie than she does.

“Spoiler” Patrick knows the truth behind Marie and Marcel’s marriage and the lies of the past five years. A truth that will change Marie forever. And now the real story begins. The story of the Beacons. Magic and Love will finally be revealed.

Without giving away any more spoilers, if you like Paranormal, Romance and Sex, then I suggest this book. The beginning of the book was a little confusing, but it soon grabs you.

I received this book from the author and from Paranormal Romance and Authors That Rock.

While I love reading sexy stories I love it when there is more than just sex. This story delivers on that. There is a wonderful story that unfolds before you involving magic and powers and secrets and even a war that is happening just below the surface. Intermingled with all of this is lust, desires and ultimately love. I really enjoyed this story and I will get Book 2 when it comes out. I thoroughly enjoyed the writing style of R.M. Garry. His creativity in describing the "details" of the more intimate scenes make it a pleasure to read, there is nothing monotonous and over done about it.

I give this is 5 out of 5 fangs but be warned that this a very adult story riddled with wonderfully sexy situations and tons of adult content

I am a constant reader. The person who always has their nose hidden in a book. This book is one of the best I've read in quite some time. Captivating, intricate, complex and thoroughly intertwining, loved it!
Surely there must be more to this richly extravagant story - it just can't be over.
