‘It’s nearly 40 years since ABBA first burst on the international scene when they won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1974 with their highly acclaimed ‘Waterloo’.
This book charts the history of the group. This Little Book relates the story of a much-loved musical phenomenon, from humble beginnings to unimaginable success and the ever-present rumours of a band reunion and a Mamma Mia! film sequel.’
This book was great.
I grew up listening to ABBA and stayed a fan of theirs as an adult so I was excited to read this little book and learn more about them.
Now this book is by no means extensive, but it is a great book for someone wishing to learn a little more about ABBA. It covers their career; both the highs and the lows, and it gives readers a look at the behind-the-scenes moments ABBA in the studio, on tour, and just living their lives.
As someone who knew a bit about ABBE going into this book, I was genuinely surprised by how much I learned about ABBA from this book. Most of the information was new to me which isn’t always the case when I read books like these, so I really appreciate that.
Claire Welch has done a wonderful job with this book. The information included was interesting and well-presented, which made it both easy and fun to read. In addition to the information, the fantastic photographs show ABBA’s career from start to finish. After I finished reading this book, I went back through it again just to study the photographs.
I am very happy that I own this great little book and I look forward to picking it up again in the future.
The Little Book Of ABBA by Claire Welch is a must-read for anyone interested in learning a little bit about ABBA.

Cute book, but lacks so much and so tiny! Not worth it, even if you love ABBA. Please note, this book is also called 'ABBA and mamma mia'
