In this, his fifth collection of shocking exploits, Mark Brandon 'Chopper' Read tells more of his astonishing tales of violence and murder with a unique black humour. He candidly and hilariously discusses his notorious life as one of the toughest criminals on the planet.
Done in a kind of diary style by Australia's favourite sociopath/best selling author. His writing style is very easy to read and highly entertaining though it did get slightly repetitive towards the end of the book. The anecdotes from back in the day are excellent though he does dwell a little too much on his current life as a chicken farmer in Tasmania in my opinion. However as I haven't read his earlier books that's probably affecting my judgement of this one as I feel I would have enjoyed it more in order as part of the series, which I think focuses a little more on his criminal past. Will definitely be picking up the rest of his books at some stage. Highly recommended if you saw & enjoyed the Eric Bana film Chopper.
