I have my own apartment. I also obtained a decent paying job. I even, at one point, fell in love. Everything feels like it's moving forward, that only good things will be on the horizon. However, this odd sense of danger seems to linger in the back of my mind. I thought I had rid myself of the past but I was wrong. A warning to whoever is hunting me, I don't forget my past. I don't fear you but you should definitely fear me.

From the Author who brought you "Those Devils" presents to you another piece of the puzzle. Learn more about the world of "The Experiments" and discover what they truly are.

Just a regular nerd, reading comics and enjoying life the best I can. I've made my own comics, as well as short stories and books. These days I still occasionally try to create some of those.

My main focus here is writing reviews to spread love throughout the comic and manga worlds. I also make YouTube videos with deep dives on comic characters, so come check me out there as well.

Add me if you want to talk anytime! I love nerding out. Now go enjoy reading some good comics!

I have to say I am a fan of the author's short stories and this doesn't disappoint. I would advise reading "Those Devils" before reading this one to understand what is going on. That being said, I would love to see this world expanded into a full novel one day.

0-9 is the latest short story from James DeSantis, the author of the Exterminators series. If you have read his previous work, you know that he goes for the enigmatic and the violent.

Jill Loths is a girl with a crappy job at a bank. Her coworkers hate her. Her boss is promoting her...she hopes. And her ex broke her heart. She sounds like any other woman you would encounter in Chicago, or all of America, for that matter.
But she's not so normal. She's being followed. Why? You'll find out...

More great work from James's dark mind. This story, however, differs from his other shorts in that this one begs for a longer sequel one day. You will want to know the backstory and you will want to know Jill's future.
Great story with just enough violence and mystery.

5/5--great!

This was another interesting read from James DeSantis. Before going into this one, I highly suggest reading "Those Devils" this one is a sort of companion to it, and the end will make a whole lot more sense if you do.

For the most part, I enjoyed this short story. However, I wasn't quite into it until the end. I didn't really care about Jill and her past romance, although it did give us a look into her character and how violent she can get. Finding out what she was at the end though was exciting.

After reading both "Those Devils" and "0-9" I would love to see an entire novel of this world. Whether it be a complete collection of short stories based on each "Experiment" or just a full on, regular novel. Either or could be pretty darn good.

0 - 9 The Experiments Book 2 by James DeSantis 0 - 9 The Experiments Book 2 by James DeSantis is linked to the story Those Devils. The story line is interesting but it needs editing for grammar and tense. I gave it three stars.

The unnamed protagonist works for Sunshine Bank. "Being presentable all the time is hard enough but add on the fact that you have to pretend to be cheerful to half the people who hate your guts isn't the easiest task in the world."

I received a complimentary copy from Amazon. That did not change my opinion for this review.
