I do not know if this book was relevant when it was originally published, but it is now so out of date that it is irrelevant. I would not have read it if it was not a textbook for a course (one that will not be offered again—thank goodness given its required reading). If it is to be of any use, it needs to be almost completely rewritten to make it useful.
