Adventuring Along the Southeast Coast: The Sierra Club Travel Guide to the Low Country, Beaches, and Barrier Islands of North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia by John Bowen (Sierra Club Books 1993) (917.5). This is the best guide to the North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia barrier islands that I have ever found. The entries describe small and contiguous portions of the coast which cause the guide to read much more sensibly than most. My rating: 7.5/10, finished 6/2/14.
