Silver Fox’s twin babies are two oblivious star crossed lovers,Evan and Amber. Their twin kiddos are the worst kept secret. Maybe the silver fox is actually Jacob, the older bro who has a massive heart attack and then endangers his health to hide Amber’s 7 yr deception / protect his crazy lil bro from himself. Jacob really was complicit and as a CEO should have been able to navigate that situation. I felt like Evan’s unstable personality could have been explained better. Amber is a wet noodle and selfish. Not disclosing Evan’s fatherhood was beyond wrong and glossed over too easily. Evan gets 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ in the sack, 1 ⭐️ for sense. I still enjoyed the drama filled story but hated these 💰💰-aire bafoons. Side characters were all slimy fake too😡😤 Setting in Western Ny was good. Maybe second chances after 7 years are just not my thing

I'm not a big silver fox/age-gap fan, but this one was better than I expected. It was sensual and steamy with a earnest storyline. Couple with great writing, this one was a pleasure to read.

Amber Lawson works for Jacob Montgomery as his executive assistant. Jacob was her father, Chester’s best friend. Her father died eight years ago and Jacob and his wife Erin have been very kind to Amber. Amber has 7 year old twins that are in the second grade. At their parent teacher conference, Mrs. Newsome tells Amber that they want to put Vera in the Gifted and Talented Program because she is so smart. She also tells Amber that they want to put Parker in a special program that pairs him with a tutor and therapists to help him get up to speed. Parker was diagnosed with dyslexia and he struggles. He excels in gym, music and math but struggles in English, History and Science which require a lot of reading. Amber is upset to have to separate the twins.

Evan Montgomery is a silver fox billionaire. He is 17 years older than Amber. Evan doesn’t know that he is the father to Amber’s twins. Only Jacob and Amber’s mom know the whole story. Jacob has even urged Amber to come clean with Evan. Evan came back from being in Europe five years ago with a woman on his arm and he never asked about Amber. He works in a town 20 minutes away. Each brother is busy running their own parts of the family business. Jacob is at the headquarters as CEO and Evan is the head of research and development. Their father died of a heart attack and left Montgomery Enterprises to his two sons. Evan is shocked when Erin, Jacob’s wife calls him and says that Jacob had a heart attack. Evan picks up Erin and when they get to the hospital, they are told that Jacob needs open heart surgery. At the hospital Evan thinks back to when he comforted Amber after her father’s funeral. He thought they had something special. He had to go to Europe to expand the business and prove he was serious about the business. While he was gone, he heard that Amber had a new man and a baby. He was upset that he was pining for her, but she moved on. Now, Evan is back at the corporate headquarters to take over while Jacob is recovering. He is surprised to find out that Amber is Jacob’s executive assistant and temporarily his new assistant.

Another good miscommunication story. Neither Amber nor Evan took the time to find out what the other was really thinking and feeling eight ears ago or now. I was happy that Evan wanted to convince Amber to take a chance on him. I rooting for everything to work out.

Might contain spoilers but I’ll try not to.

Book was good. I read it in one sitting because it flowed so well. But the book overview and what happens don’t match up. This is the book overview on Amazon:

HOWEVER, there was no tabloids hunting for a headline or even a scandal. The whole city wasn’t watching. The brother was guarding the secret. The son having dyslexia wasn’t a major point of the story just part of the mom’s worries about life.

The book was good, just don’t expect the craziness of the description. I was expecting a lot of angst but there wasn’t much.

Amber and Evan

7 years ago they were seeing each other and were falling fast. But he had a rep and his older brother thought it was time he grew up and went to Europe to run the business. He talks so positively about leaving when she finds out she’s pregnant she lets him go. But she works for his older brother and she tells him he is their uncle. Both she and the brother keep the twins a secret from him. Then his brother has a heart attack and Evan comes back to help run the company. He is about 14 years older than her and is like why did I let her get away- I’m not going to this time. Then he finds out about the twins and he thinks they are his brothers- never thinks twice they could be his - which I found ridiculous… when he finds out they are his he runs away - another immature thing to do. There was some good tension for when he finally finds out but a part of the book before it was redundant.

Hea - they are moving in to his house and they had an “oopsie” - she’s pregnant again - he’s already got a ring prepared

A second chance at romance.

Amber and Evan started a hot and heavy affair 8 years ago after she was devastated by the death of her father. What she hoped would lead to more ended when he left for a job in Europe. What she didn't realize until many months later was she was pregnant with twins. Putting his happiness over her own she only told a few people one of them her father's best friend Jacob who is also Evan's brother. For the last 8 years Jacob has supported her decisions and even hired her to work for him. When a medical emergency brings Evan back to cover for his brother life gets interesting when things once again heat up between him and Amber. What happens when secrets are revealed will they be able to get past the hurt to find their HEA?

I enjoyed their story even if it wasn't anything close to the blurb.

I was hooked on this sweet and emotional second chance romance story, detailing Evan and Amber’s journey through heartbreak, difficult choices, resilience, the revelation of a long held secret and rekindling a love that never waned, so they could have the chance at a future they missed out on. I was totally enamoured with the camaraderie of the characters and the way they all came together to navigate the situation and help find a solution. In my humble opinion, I believe the author set the right balance between the steamy encounters, drama, angst and the storyline, to ensure the reader has a pleasurable experience. You will definitely enjoy reading this gem of a book.

Amber and Evan were together for about 6 months right after her father passed. Then he told her he was moving to Europe for at least 18 months to build his family’s company. His brother Jacob was Amber’s father’s best friend and promised to look out for her. A few months after Even left Amber realized she was pregnant with twins. She told Jacob she wanted to not tell Evan since he seemed to be enjoying being free so he reluctantly agreed. She expected to tell him when he returned but he came home with a new girlfriend so Amber kept her secret. This worked for 7 years until a health crisis with Jacob had Evan stepping in as CEO with Amber as his assistant. These two still were drawn to the other and through many ups and downs and miscommunications eventually find their hea.

What an introduction to the story, Amber the mother of twins, working for the her deceased father’s best friend, who also happens to be the brother of the father of her twins. Evan, the father though is unaware that he is a father. It sounds very messy and it is, especially when Evan comes back on the scene. He confesses to Amber that he should have never have gone to work away and left her, perhaps then would have been a good time to tell her he had two 7 year old children. I can see lots of tears ahead. Amber had so many opportunities to tell Evan but didn’t.
There’s a bumpy road ahead before they get to their HEA, and I definitely shed a tear or two.

It is very tempting and she can’t help herself giving into the passion that he promises however, there still is a very big secret between them and she doesn’t know how to tell him. They have secrets to navigate on their way to their happily ever after but they get there in the end.

We are taken along on the journey Amber and Evan made together. They once had a steamy affair and while Amber thought there was more in it, Evan disappeared because he was placed somewhere else. When she discovers that she has a lasting memory of their time, she decides not to let him know that she is pregnant. She is offered a job by her father's best friend Jacob and he also does not tell his brother Evan that he is going to be a father. Everything changes when Jacob has a heart attack and Evan returns to temporarily replace his brother. Will they get a second chance and what if all the secrets come out and the fact that he is the father of twins?

When she finds out she is pregnant she goes to his brother Jacob who was also her father's best friend. He offers her a job and promises to keep her secret. Even after he comes back to the states.
Fast forward 5 years and when Jacob has a heart attack Evan takes over as CEO working directly with Amber.
Things aren't easy for them as they navigate their reunion and all the secrets.

She is still in love with Evan but she has to keep him at arms length due to her secret but, that proves to be harder then she expected. As they start to get closer, she becomes more anxious on how he will react.

Secrets and Second Chances

Silver Fox’s Twin Babies is definitely a good way to start your weekend off. The entire book gives you the chance to learn how some secrets can actually you a semblance of reconnecting to those of your past . But with true love, a second chance turns into forever.

I’m looking forward towards reading the next installment.

I felt sorry for Evan...

She was on my nerves with the wishy washy...I don't know, what ifs. You had 7 + years, and you still couldn't get it together. You could be intimate, but you could not have a conversation about the kids' father.
Then they were intimate about 12 times, then mentioned contraceptive.. then said we had an oopsie! That was no oopsie. That was intentional!
Even for fiction, some of the scenes made no sense.
I liked the story. My favorite character was Jacob.

Passionate Surprise

Sleep is very overrated when you start reading this HOT romance book before bedtime. This is a heartwarming story telling us Amber and Evan's story. She's a single parent to twins, Vera and Parker who has to deal with the situation when their unknowing father Evan appears back on the scene.

The story pulled me in and kept me turning the pages, so much going on in this second chance romance. so many secrets and revelations. I loved their connection and the steam.
