Surprised by how much I loved this. I was told it was super smutty but the smut was pretty normal; even if the scenes were hotter than sin.

This was such a great read!
The emotion that KL Donn is able to pack into her books is beyond incredible.
Lars is a protector to the core and the moment he meets Ellie he knows that she needs someone in her corner. His position not only in her life, but life in general, makes that a little more difficult than he would hope for. But there is absolutely nothing that is going to stand between him and Ellie.
Ellie is innocence personified, it wafts off her in waves. The love and compassion that she has been desperately searching for all of her life is just a figment of her imagination at his point. She's content to walk through life alone. Until Lars opens her eyes to love, kindness, and above all else someone who is willing to protect her from the evils of the world.
Ellie and Lars are so sweet together. I love the way Lars loves Ellie so intensely, but doesn't allow it to overwhelm her. He gives her the opportunity to blossom into a sweet and sassy woman, finding her way in life - with him by her side helping to lead the way.
Ellie truly does grow through the course of this book. There is so much pain and tragedy that she has to fight through, and even as she struggles through it, you can see her truly finding herself. I loved that by the end of it he was able to just be her true, natural self. And that she found the safety that she was always searching for in Lars' arms.

As much as I loved the first book in the series, Lars and Ellie became my favorite couple from the jump! Lars is so sweet and loving to Ellie, within the limits of his job to start. When she comes back into his life, he knows he cannot let her go again. The attraction, the chemistry between them is off the charts and Lars does everything he can to protect Ellie. While their age gap isn't ideal to some, they have the approval from Lars' son who also happens to be Ellie's friend. Lars is truly an alpha, protective and caring, guiding and supportive. Ellie looks at Lars like he hung the stars just for her and if he could have, he would have. Their story just ticked all my boxes for an incredible read and a definite reread on the regular. That is why I adore this author, she packs an emotional punch with all the spice you could want, simply amazing!

Hot! Hot! Hot! I read this book within a couple hours. Amazing, must read! Age gap romance. Right from the moment Lars lays eyes on Ellie, the chemistry starts. Ellie has had one heck of a life. Lars has come to take down her dad, where he meet Ellie. Why? Wait til you find out. Ellie is also friends with Lars son. It’s not til Ellie is with a foster family that one particular person in the family is not very nice. As she spends more and more time with Lars, it seems they heat up the sheets. Is it possible, even with the age gap, for Lars and Ellie to be together? Can Wllie move on with her life after such trauma. Oh yeah, let’s not forget the ex wife-she’s a piece of work. This book will definitely keep you on the edge of your seat!

Well you know what this book is about from the title 😳! We have here zaddy Lars police captain 😳 and his baby girl Ellie. Lars first met Ellie is when he arrest her dad, but of course he wants her, but with her age he Tried to hold back. But you know that didn’t work out when he comes to her rescue! Lars is one hot possessive and protective daddy for Ellie. But we do have some drama and a WHOLE lot of smut add into this book, but you shouldn’t be surprised with the all the smut from Ms Donn, bc Hello look at the title! 😘 happy reading y’all ❤️❤️

I really enjoyed this book. There was more to the storyline than the first book in the series. I expected this one to have just as much spice as the first one, but it had a lot less spice than the first one and more story, but it was still good and easy read. I was able to finish it within a couple of hours like I did the first one which I love short books that I can Read while I’m at work because all my days off it’s hard to get pages in. The book was well written it wasn’t confusing and I enjoyed the age gap

This series is amazing! I can’t wait for the next one! You get your OTTP male lead and your female lead that needs the hero. K,L. Takes all our favorite acronyms and gives us our own taste of the fantasy. You can’t go wrong with this them. Please adhere to the TW. You will see mention of previous parental child ǎbúse, age gap, epilogue pregnancy and talk of serial unaliving off page. There is male lead adjacent OW drama but the male lead does not stray.

The story was better than the first one in my opinion. The scenes were definitely hot, and they’re not fucking in every chapter which is nice. I love that the son was very supportive with the MCs relationship; he’s even the one who’s pushing them to be together. I enjoyed reading this, so 4 stars!

Very steamy! There are definitely some dark undertones to the story, but the actual romance is honestly very sweet - and kinda dirty and very steamy! Exactly how a book with this title should be! Lars and Ellie are definitely meant to be.

I really don't know why I finished this book in the first place because I find the daddy kink to be a bit gross. With that said, I did enjoy the actual plot itself. It would've made a great novel without the huge age gap and daddy kink.
