Rate this book
Arstellon always wanted an adventure. He never thought he would have to die to get it.

When his peaceful reign comes to an abrupt end, the king of Elarys finds himself awake decades after his lifetime, with his kingdom all but destroyed by a cruel empire and filled with mysterious dark creatures impervious to blade or bow. He’s not all the kings who came before and after him are also alive again. A long-forgotten prophecy promises that Elarys will be rescued by her kings, but the waiting enemy has already prepared a plan to destroy them before they can begin.

With everyone he knows lost to time, and darkness and division threatening to tear the heroes of Elarys apart, Arstellon must find a courage he’s never known and discover the source of the prophecy, the only thing that can tell him why he’s alive again—and how to stay that way long enough to free his people from their darkest hour.

Crowns of Fire is an exciting epic fantasy series with noble heroes, dangerous loyalties, and ancient powers colliding to determine the fate of mankind. Join the resurrected kings of Elarys as they unlock the secrets to defeating the insidious darkness that has eclipsed their kingdom and discover who they can become when given a second chance at life, in this action-adventure journey of bravery, intrigue, and unbreakable bonds forged in the darkest places.

Finally, an epic fantasy series worthy to become the classic of its generation, with the scope of Tolkien, the spiritual depth of Lewis, and clean high stakes adventure!

The resurrected kings of all ages must overcome ruthless pirates, fearsome shadow beasts, insidious traitors, and perhaps worst of all, their own deepest fears and troubled pasts to rescue their nation in its darkest hour.

The first book features:
1. a gripping plot full of constant adventure, intrigue, and danger
2. a full cast of incredible heroes to root for with relatable insecurities and emotional journeys, and loathsome villains to defeat
3. a fantasy world with a rich history and perilous present
4. spiritual allegory that is deep and poignant, but not overbearing or trite

This book is well written, with vivid descriptions of the physical and emotional landscape, and despite its grand scope that would slow down a lot of other fantasy series, the plot moves quickly to make it a real page turner that kept me reading past my bedtime. I especially love the characters of Arstellon and Navesh, who cover the bases of noble hero and brooding hero, while other kings provide more humor and epic feats. For a thrilling fantasy of epic proportions that I believe will transform a generation the way that CS Lewis’ and Tolkien’s works changed history in their generation, read Crowns of Fire!

Wow! What a ride. This debut fantasy jumps out of the gate and roars to the finish line. Right from the start, this book promises exciting battle scenes, dramatic captures, imprisonments, escapes, fugitives on the run, and a ruined kingdom to save and explore. And the plot delivers on that promise. I felt like I was riding a roller coaster of emotion, experiencing the ups and downs of the characters as they are thrust into their various live-or-die situations.
And yet, with all this wonderful action, we're treated to a clean story with no content warnings required, except that it might keep you up past your bedtime! In book one, we're just starting off on our journey, yet the characters are already beginning to change and grow. This is a book with a purpose; it has something to give back. The faith element is strong and bold, and it makes no apologies. Also, it's very well-written. I connect instantly with the earnest yet flawed heroes, and I truly despise the villains.
This is a fantastic start to a thrilling new journey. I'm excited to read the next book in the series!

Interested to see where this goes-this sets up a much bigger story which is fine but it suffers from lack of a sense of completion. A lot of characters to keep up with that you aren’t connected to
