Stealing Squatch

Rate this book
What's a wolf to do when the mate she never wanted is threatened?

After her traumatic upbringing, Kai never wanted a mate, whether chosen or gifted by fate. So, when she met her fated mate, a sasquatch shifter named Alder, she did everything she could to avoid him, even when it became hard to do as their friend groups collided. Despite her rejection, Alder remained firm in pursuit of Kai, determined to prove himself worthy of her love. But when a witch arrives from out of town, and Alder seemingly becomes infatuated with her, Kai gets suspicious—and a tad bit jealous. Undeterred by her reservations about mates, Kai decides to figure out Alder’s sudden obsession with the witch and save the day. Will she be able to move past her fear of fate and steal back her squatch?

If you enjoy steamy and fun fantasy romances set in the modern world, you won't be able to put down this book.

Stealing Squatch is an interconnected standalone with a compelling love story, action, found family, and spice suitable for readers 18+. This series can be read in any order but for maximum enjoyment, it's recommended to read it following Mate Match.

Our leading lady Kai is a shifter (wolf) and has been found to have a fated mate he's a really sweet guy Alder he is also a shifter (sasquatch). Kai while she doesn't dislike Alder... she dislikes the whole "fated mates" situation since her parents were always at each other and fighting due to this she never wanted that for herself and turns away from Alder trying her best to avoid him.

Alder even though Kai continues to avoid him is determined to win over his mate he wants a love match and knows that they could have true happiness if she would just give him the time of day... his latest plan is to make their own space away from the rest of the group while out getting supplies for their home and breakfast (a man/squatch) has to eat! While out he runs into an evil witch from out of town and falls under her spell next thing you know Alder and this new woman are going to be "mates"... not on Kai's watch Alder is her squatch, get back witch!

This was a cute quick read that happened over a short period of time and swapped POV's regularly. While I kind of wished there was more focus on our lead characters relationship and less jumping around between everyone I did enjoy the story and liked seeing our couple finally find each other and their happy ending.

Another good one

Book 2 in the series is the story of Kai and Alder. They are fated mates, yet Kai wants nothing to do with a partner or mate. Her parents had a toxic relationship despite being fated, and it has left her scared of anyone getting too close. Alder, oh sweet Alder, is a saint of a man. Patient and considerate to a fault. He never pushed too hard or held it against her. Alder runs into town for breakfast and errands and is poisoned with a love spell by Xan's witch cousin Celeste who is on the run from authorities for some of her dark magic antics. Kai saves him by completing the mate bond, but they took a while to find their groove and for Kai to come around to accepting their bond. Celeste remains a problem, and the remainder of the story pertains to finding and dealing with Celeste before she can tear them apart. This book continues the found family theme, which is a favorite part of the series for me, as well as continuing to give multiple POVs. This book gave us more Callum, who has been winning me over, and I can't wait to find out more about newcomer Laila. Really a fun, fast-paced series.

Let me start off by saying I loved Mate Match so when I heard there was going to be a second but
more about Kia and Alder I was so excited! Stealing Squatch kept me up for hours just wanting to know what was to come next. It had spice, mystery and suspense. I also loved how the author kept characters from Mate Match in this one as well because it keeps their stories going too so they aren’t just forgotten. Probably my fastest read so far because I have 3 kids that keep me absolutely insane most of the time but Stealing Squatch let me escape!
