An International Award Winning Christian Fiction Novel
The US is in shambles. Society has collapsed and people struggle to survive in small communities. The west is wild again, with scavengers and raiders willing to kill for any reason or no reason.
In the middle of a remote canyon out west, a woman lives on her own in an off-grid sanctuary her family had built years prior to the collapse. While the outside world struggles, her safe haven has helped her survive.
At least until now.
Things suddenly turn into chaos for her, and an encounter with a stranger turns her world upside down.
Can she make it through the latest trials? Will she trust God to show her the way? Is she meant to continue this life of survival ALONE?
Elisabeth is an award winning author who lives off-grid in rural western South Dakota as a stay-at-home wife and a mom of four home-schooled children. In her spare time, she loves writing books that have God, action, adventure, spiritual warfare, and characters that struggle at times but always find faith! She also loves to design her own book covers, proof read with her daughter, and make her husband lose an entire day reading one of her books.
This is a Christian story with characters that feel real and relatable, not overly spiritualized. The author captures genuine emotions, everyday habits, and the kind of struggles many of us face—especially during a season that feels a lot like the story of Job. I truly loved the storyline. I laughed with the characters, cried during their hardest moments, and felt connected to their journey. The emotions were raw and sincere, which made the story even more meaningful. I would definitely read more from this author.
After whatever happens happens, a family is succeeding in life. Devastating events happen. She learns to be alone. I could feel her hope and her despair. A clean read you. Survival after an event changes the world.
