One college student finds himself in a cat-astrophe when he comes across a catboy who won't leave him alone!
Jiro Haruta has an unfortunate penchant for attracting trouble, so when he stumbles upon an odd-looking cat on his way to class, he does his best to avoid it. However, the cat not only steals Haruta's lunch, but it follows him home! And if that's not strange enough, the cat transforms into an extremely handsome man named Kanawa, who declares in front of everyone that he wants to be kept by Haruta! Can Haruta escape this cat-astrophe, or is he stuck being the proud owner of a handsome catboy?!
Contrary to how this presents itself, it isn't really a BL. There are some undertones and running jokes, but ultimately this is a slice of life gag manga about a catboy who turns into a handsome man, and the grumpy but easily won over college student who "adopts" him. It's cute and quite funny, with some side characters who steal the show, but don't go expecting any sort of depth. Still fun for what it is
Somehow even kookier than the title would suggest. Played more for lols than for romance, but a fun story - although what the hell is up with that professor, yikes.
3.5 stars, rounded up to 4. If you're looking for an actual romance, you're going to be disappointed, since literally nothing ever happens (it's more like a running joke than an actual possibility). However, if you just want something that's cute and mostly funny, with undertones of BL, then this isn't bad at all. The drawings are good, though sometimes the conversations are confusing because you can't really tell who's talking. And the dynamic between Jiro & Kuromame is funny more often than not (and a big nod to Jiro's friend Sato, who was great). Really, this book is mostly silly, but that's not a bad thing. Just don't go into it expecting any kind of romance or you will be very disappointed.
Haruta didn't expect stumbling across a catboy on the street who promptly steals his lunch to turn into raising it, though truthfully it's not really by his choice. There's a lot of screaming and misunderstandings along the way, but it seems like Haruto does adjust to this odd new life. Meanwhile, just about everyone around him is enamored with this catboy in one or both forms, though it's rather hilarious when they are startled or scared by his changes. Overall, it's a good laugh, but lacks a lot of substance and has a serious series of consent issues along with some other illegalities thanks to a certain professor that keeps having to be reigned in.

I'm sure I grossly overthought this, but my take is that if there wasn't enough silliness to make me just handwave things away, it probably wasn't that well written.
