MUST SHE CHOOSE?

Nicolette is adrift after losing her husband and master. The void he left can't be filled, but her yearning for pain and submission is vast. Enter Sam, a force of nature, promising agony so exquisite, Nicolette is sure she'll be ready to forsake all other intimacy.

Just as she surrenders, she meets Victor, whose sophisticated charm and disarming smile reignite a sweetness she forgot existed. Now she remembers she can't live without it either, and soon, she's caught up in the passionate rush that feels so wrong she doesn't want to be right.

Caught between pleasure and pain, Nicolette wonders... why choose?

Between Desires is a stand-alone, later in life, angsty, why choose romance with an unexpected but happily ever after ending.

The blurb of Between Desires may have been an emotional one,but it still didn’t prepare me for all the feelings i had while reading it.
From the devastating loss of the love of her life, her husband and Master,to the struggle of finding a way to deal with the fact she found not one,but two men to fill in the gap,Nicolette’s story was heartbreaking.
It made me smile,it made me cry,it made me needy to the point that hubby got dragged away for some needed relief, and it made me happy when everyone ended up where they needed to be.
In short, this story not only touched my heart,it found a permanent residence there.

Nicolette had lived a happy life with her late husband and Master, but now that time was passing, she found she still had needs.
Not sexual persé,but if she could find someone to give her the pain she craved, she’d feel better.
Enter Sam,a sadist that fit the profile perfectly, because he didn’t need the sex,but would enjoy giving her the pain she needed.
She got lucky with him, because the risk she took by going to his house, without telling anyone, could’ve been the last thing she’d ever do…..but he actually cared about her as a real Master should.
Only then, after finding him,she met someone else…..someone that touched another part of her.
Victor made her smile, and she enjoyed their banter, even after finding out he was the lawyer of the man her client was divorcing.
And he awakened her sexual needs, the ones she’d thought lost after her husbands death.
But he was as vanilla as they come, and couldn’t understand her need for pain….

This was the emotional and at times painful story of how Nicolette tried to find a way to have ALL of her needs fulfilled without hurting either man in the proces.
The release she found with both may have been totally different, the love she felt for both was the same.
But Sam and Victor were two totally different men, even while they both loved her…..so,how could this ever work??
Would the three of them ever be able to find a balance,or would they be doomed to to live a lonely life without the love they all deserved?
Alexis Rey described their journey towards a happy after with such care, with so much love for all of them,i felt it down to my soul.
She proves yet again why i love her work so much!

Nicolette had everything she needed, a beautiful family, the love of her life and Master. When he passes and as time goes on, she finds that she still has needs that she would like to be met, but didn’t necessarily need the sexual aspect of it. Sam is a sadist, but has zero interest in sexual activity.

Enter Victor, attractive, witty and definitely into Nicolette. He reawakened the sexual side of Nic. Until she found out he’s the lawyer of the man her client was divorcing. And while he had a dirty mouth, he couldn’t understand her need for some pain to derive pleasure.

Alexis brings the angst we’re familiar with as Nicolette tries to balance having all her needs met without letting either man find out about the other. Both men, while very different, fulfilled different needs of hers, but were loved equally by her. When Sam demonstrates to Victor how he meets Nic’s needs, Victor is appalled and both men take a step back, leaving Nic spiraling.

Never fear, they do find their happy ending. And Alexis takes great care to break down the emotions and behaviors of her characters to get there. My heart soared when it all came together, but if you want to know who she ends up with…or between.. spread those pages & get to reading… Good girl.

A why choose for any woman who wants it all.

Another amazing book by Alexis Rey. Not only does she express the deep need for pain and pleasure through pain in a perfect way, she show us how a mature woman has to navigate the bdsm world carefully. This book has everything a reader wants.

🔥 ARC REVIEW 🔥

Another amazing read by Alexis, it's different then what I have read before. I really enjoyed the later in life, it shows you are never too old to find exactly what you need to be happy in your life.

!Obviously check trigger warnings!
Oh where do I start... Sam *sigh* so amazing, I truly enjoyed him so much. And Victor, what a wonderful man he is.
I truly loved the way both Sam and Victor could work together to give Nicolette what she needs in life. It's not your typical why choose but damn it's delicious.

Thank you Alexis for reaching out to me so I got to read this book. I've always enjoyed your books. And I hope you know that I will never say no if you ask me to read for you🫶🏻

Weird

Ending us more like a HFN.
Sam was a sweetheart considering but he's a much older dude that walks around in flip flops around his home..
Hardly anything romantic here though. The book reads almost like BDSM for those over 40 & single, but no romance.

All I can say is why are there so many BDSM books featuring people getting into relationships that aren't into BDSM? Always someone has to bend to adjust to the lifestyle that they don't really want.

Meanwhile I'm like Victor, also thinking why would anyone be into this stuff
