Nico is an omega, on the run from his home pack and the old alpha they were set to mate him to. Hoping to escape his intended mate in an attempt to get into Canada, he finds himself at the end of a pole prod and thrown in the county pound on the slate for euthanasia.

Shilo is a sociable sort, even for wolves, a lover of pack and family, but never seemed to find anyone to settle down with. When a bad address for a truckload of dogfood leaves his shipping company on the hook for ten grand of beef tidbits kibble, he knows just the animal shelter that could use it. And what he finds in that sad end cage waiting for the big sleep is truly heartbreaking.

With his old pack on the lookout, only another alpha’s claim can supersede his father’s demand. So, when Shilo is faced with potentially losing Nico, his claim is cemented—after all, he’s got the adoption papers free and clear.

I'm oh so enjoying season two of this Love Sync series. This story was a little cray cray strange but very entertaining and very much a page turner. Nico tragic circumstances was awful but fate put Shiloh there to rescue him...thank goodness...Their relationship was a little rocky but the intense attraction and the mate bond had this a lovely romance with a satisfying ending. Great addition to the series and I recommend trying.

Shilo and Nico are cute together. I felt bad for what happened to Nico and I honestly can’t understand why Brandon let what happened happened since it seemed like he felt guilty, or at least some guilt. I feel like Brandon being in line to be alpha, he had enough reason to go ahead and challenge his father for the role to make better changes, especially since his father was breaking the law, though maybe he wasn’t as good of a guy as he seemed he maybe could be. There really wasn’t enough interaction with him to know for sure.

I have mixed feelings about Nico’s father. I don’t like him, but I also don’t think he’s as bad as I first thought he was at the beginning. I mean, don’t get me wrong, he’s a bad guy, but he himself seems to think he’s doing the right thing and thinks he’s doing right by his kids. This is really something you’ll have to actually read the story to understand what I mean since I don’t want to spoil anything.

I loved Shilo’s pack and how they accepted Nico and how Shilo made every effort to make sure Nico knew he had choices and he could live whatever life he wanted, even if that meant not getting to keep Nico as his mate. I do wish there was more pack interaction than there was but I do love the scenes of Nico with Kenny, those were cute.

I made the mistake of not writing my review directly after finishing it, or even within a few days, so I can’t remember if the consequences for Silvermoon’s actions were mentioned but I’m glad that he got caught over what he did to Nico. I was surprised to find out that Blake was from his pack and I’m glad he and his family were able to get out of there and found Shilo’s pack, though the price to do so was unjustified.

Overall, it’s a great and interesting story. I’ve only seen this trope in MF (as far as I’m aware), so I’m glad to have gotten an MM version of it and recommend picking it up.

Nico is an omega who has run from his pack to get away from being forced to mare with the old alpha. He makes it to Canade and is then captured by the county pound and set euthanasia.
Shilo is a scociable sort and hasn't found anyone to settle down with. He gets a bad address for a delivery his shipping company has he knows where he can take it. There he finds an animal set for euthanasia. So he adopts it.
Nico is having his last meal when he smells an alpha a hot alpha. Then he smells beta but no fear. The alpha asks if he has a pack and Nico shakes his head no. He really doesn't since whoever bought him never got him to his pack. So now he's with this alpha and leaving the pound. The alpha gets the mating collar off him and gets sizes for him. He finally finally after weeks in wolf form is able to shift back. He tells Shilo his story and is told that he can stay in his pack no paying to get in. He's still free. They arrive at Shilo's house. Nico takes a shower and when he comes out the little boy Shilo had bought gifts for arrives. When the child's dad arrived Blake asks what his story is and Shilo lets him know that his old pack bought Nico for Branden. They head to the community center for the party. Then to the surprise of both him and Shilo, they sense they belong to each other. Then Nico discovers from over hearing Shilo talking to the female who cleans his house that he's his mate. Shock!
To make matters worse his father and the father of the alpha he had been bought for arrives ready to take him away. Will Shilo be able to keep him forever?
A story that makes the reader think and then cheer for the sociable alpha.

My Opinion:
Omega Wolf, Nico, is traded against his wishes to the son of another pack’s Alpha. On the way to their pack and unable to shift, there was a car accident that landed Nico in the local pound. Shilo recognizing him being a shifter “adopts” him and brings him to his home. From here we have a cute story of them finding their way and finding love. Minor drama that’s not reallllyyy drama occurs. There are some spicy scenes but they are not overwhelming and are sweet. Shilo seems to be a really great Alpha. In Chapter 9 when he sat on the floor trying not to look like a threat? Absolutely adorable and sweet. He cares for his Omega and his pack and isn’t afraid to look “weak” or “not Alpha like” and leads with love not fear. Also, Ares tugging Horace around? Beautiful LMAO. Are Paul and Emry going to have a book???? If not planned… please???

I loved this book from the start and was immediately hooked. Great world building and wonderful characters. Omega Nico certainly wasn't meek, and had no attention to be forcibly mated to another pack to someone that didn't even want him. But the chain collar put around his neck was locked with magic and prevented him from shifting. After an accident, he was caught and brought to a shelter. With no one able to remove it and no one wanting to adopt him, he was going to be put down.

Alpha Shilo was donating food to a shelter when he recognized the wolf in the cage soon to be euthanized was an omega wolf shifter in a binding collar. He adopted him immediately and removed it. He offered Nico his freedom immediately before the other could shift back to speak to him, or the choice to remain in his pack.

I loved both Nico and Shilo. Shilo was very kind and patient. Even from the beginning you could tell he's from a good and honorable pack- one more like family than the norm. I loved the way their relationship developed.

I also liked the supporting characters. Sigma wolves were really interesting in this world and I like the touch of magic.

Nico is a grey omega wolf. His father sold him to the Silvermoon alpha to wed his alpha son Branden. Nico shifts to accept the gift and it is a collar. The collar is locked and Nico cannot shift back. Nico is loaded up into a van with Branden and they set off to the Silvermoon pack lands. There is an accident and the van crashes and Nico is the only one found alive and taken to a pound. No one is able to take the collar off of Nico. Shilo Warren is the owner of Warrenline Freight. He is stuck with a shipment of dog food and looks around to see if he can get rid of it. Shilo is Alpha of his pack, he treats everyone like family and does not charge them to leave or to join his pack. Shilo calls Willama County Animal Shelter and they agree to take the shipment. When Shilo enters the shelter he smells another shifter. Shilo adopts Nico and when they get in the truck Nico hides until they leave. Shilo takes the collar off and Nico is able to shift, he is very happy. What will happen when everyone finds out Nico is alive???? Will Nico get to choose who he wants to stay with???.

I really liked this story of Shiloh and Nico. For Nico to go from an arranged mating to stuck in a dog pound to an open and welcoming pack was a stroke of luck and fate. The goddesses must have been watching out for him. He found his fated mated, one who was sensitive, caring, very loving, responsible, protective, anything Nico might need from an alpha to end up in his best life possible. Horace was despicable and hopefully got everything he deserved, while Godfrey actually ended up better than I thought. I liked the idea of the Pine Warren pack, it was so welcoming without so many of the protocols and rules of other packs (in this book and others), and the feeling from this pack was one of contentment, caring for each other, and overall happiness with their lives. Seemed like a good place for Nico to end up, one he deserved.

Not a long book but an engaging and entertaining one that I think anyone that likes shifter stories would enjoy. Loved the title, too.

This is another great addition to the multi-authored Love Sync Mates Season Two series by Lilo Quie. I've begun hoarding these Love Sync Mates books and when one shows up on Booksprout I can't wait to grab it to read and review. This is the 8th book I've read in season 2 of this series.

At 103 pages this was a quick read with lots of depth for such a short story. I had such empathy for Nico, his father was truly a piece of work. Fate placed Shilo at the right place and right time.

Now I'm going to need a book on Dr. Finnegan and the cat burglar. Lilo always leaves me wanting more.

The pacing and storytelling in this novella is spot on and I flew thru the story.
I liked how shifter omega Nico found his place after his plane to escape his pack and forced pairing went all awry wrong. Fate might have intervened when just in time his fated found him in an unlikely place. Shilo,also shifter, has a pack with a forward thinking community and outlook that is just the right place to bring up his and Nico their little ones next to the pups already there with the help and support of their pack. It takes a village, in this case a pack.
This novella is part of the multi author 'Love Sync Mates' Season, Two series,which can beread as stand alones.

This is a doggon (or at least wolf-on) good book. Lilo Quie is a great writer who has a fondness for puns. I share that fondness and enjoy her books a lot. Even just the idea of a werewolf in a dog pound makes me smile and Ms. Quie’s take on this idea is a very enjoyable read. Nico is the poor omega who ends up being saved by Alpha Shilo, who is a very different Alpha from those that Nico has encountered before.
This book is part of the Love Sync Mates series Season two that all have transportation issues involved in them. This type of series is a great way to find new to you authors who write about things you like.

I absolutely loved this book.
Nico was basically forced into an arranged mating by his awful father. The person he was given to was in love with his beta and really wanted nothing to do with him. He was made to shift and then had a collar and Leash put on him that had some kind of magic to where he could not shift back. After a car accident he was the only Survivor and was picked up by the pound. Shilo was trying to do the right thing by donating some kibble to the pound. Imagine his surprise when he found a shifter wolf Omega. This is a really good book but when it came to the cat burglar I started laughing so hard I almost peed myself.

Great adventure! Nico, is an omega who was traded by his indifferent Alpha Father to an Alpha who was in love with another. He ended up in a kill shelter and was next to be put down. Shilo, is a progressive Alpha who rescues Nico and takes him home. There is a bit of adjustment, acceptance and pack accountability. Out of tragedy, a survivor's attempt to escape, then a newar tragic end. Lots going on in this story. This is a nail biter. The author does a great job creating a roller coaster of emotional ride, keeping the reader on the edge of the seats. Nicely done. I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Talk about one weird series of events. Nico accepts a collar to mate an alpha. When he shifts to his wolf form, the collar is placed around his neck. An accident occurs and Nico ends up in an animal shelter. Since he is unable to remove the collar himself, he is essentially stuck in wolf form until another alpha happens to show up with a shipment of pet food and scents him.
Shilo, the alpha of another wolf pack, takes Nico and removes the collar. He is free from the collar but now there are new issues.

Shilo & Nico
I enjoyed this story, although there were moments that seemed almost too wordy to follow the intention of the scene. And although it's meant as a shorter story/novella, I really wish more story had been developed between Shilo & Nico before their mating came to be, and how Nico integrated himself into the new family pack. He seemed easily and happily accepted, but we were only really shown the drama of the contention outside of the pack. Sometimes it's really nice to see how newcomers are welcomed, as that's not always the norm.

I enjoyed Lost and Pound and I think I'd read it again with a re-read of all the books in the Love Sync Mates Season Two series.

Nico ran away from his pack because they were going to make him mate an older man but was caught when he was a wolf. Was taken to the shelter until he was put down, Shiloh took a bunch of dog food to the shelter because he had been given the wrong address to deliver to. Shiloh saw Nico and decided to adopt him. The only thing to save him from his pack taking him back was, Shiloh had to give Nico the mating bite. So Shiloh did as he didn’t want to lose Nico.

This is a cute shifter romance. Nico is forced into marriage , a collar is put around his neck so he has to stay in his wolf form. After car accident on his way to the new pack, he wakes up in an animal shelter. Shilo is the Alpha of his pack and when he goes to the shelter to leave food for the animals he finds Nico and knows he's a shifter so he adopts him. Nico finds Shilo different then his father and want to join his pack. Shilo knows that Nico is his mate and will do anything to make him happy. I really enjoyed this book.

This is another great addition to the Love Sync Mates season 2 multi- author series. It is a fast read but so fun. Nico and Shilo are so great together. I really felt for Nico and how he’s treated at the beginning. But luckily fate has Shilo in the right place at the right time to find his mate. I love Shilo’s pack and the understanding he has as an Alpha and mate. I’m so excited for future stories!!

Short and sweet

Nico is an omega who runs from his pack because he's treated horribly.
He meets his fated mate, Shilo in a very unexpected way.
Nico wants nothing to do with him because all he know of alphas is they're bad.
Shilo has to work hard to prove he's unlike any other alpha he's ever known.
Nico is shocked to learn that he's completely different to his experience.
It was so good to see Nico finally let his guard down and Shilo in.

I am just loving the Love Sync Mates season 2 stories. This is a quick read about Nico and Shilo who meet when Nico leaves his pack after being treated horribly. Shilo finds himself having to prove that he is not like any other alpha that Nico has been in contact with. Nico finally lets down his guard and allows Shilo into his heart and go on to live a happily ever after.

This was a creative and engaging story about Wolf shifters and Fated Mates. Both main characters were down to earth and I enjoyed the lack of unnecessary drams between them, and the lack of the drama feuled 3rd act break-up. Nico's backstory was heartbreaking and the way it paired with Shilo's background was beautifully crafted. I won't spoil the story for you, but the way Fate played her hand was wonderful.

A touch of fun & magic + a lb. of love!
An identification chip under omega wolf shifter Nico’s skin may have been a preventative from being euthanized by the county pound. Lucky for Nico, alpha wolf shifter Shiloh finds him first. Enjoy how Nico and Shiloh respond to each other along with the pups in Shiloh’s pack, handle challenges both magical and councilor supervised, and savor each loving embrace and all steamy moments!

Shilo saves Nico from death and gives him a chance at a good life. It is chance they are fated mates and I liked how the claiming was done.

So, so good! Nico seems to have accepted his fate. It's impossible to go against his father. Shilo is actually quite stunned to find his fated mate in the way he did. He is a very different Alpha to what Nico is used to. He is a refreshing change. it's not too long before they are the perfectly matched pair. I really enjoyed this story! I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Finding your fated in a dog pound is awful but finding him at all is wonderful Shilo finds his mate with a collar and leash. He knows exactly what is going on. He uses sigma to unlock the collar and takes Nico home and encourages him to make a home with him. Wonderful book with a HEA!.

This book was all over the place. It honestly seemed like it was supposed to be a much longer book, but was edited down for some reason. There was just so much story missing, not to mention absolutely zero background on either MC.
Typos, paragraphs that made no sense, bland characters. If it was only 100+ pages, I would've DNF'd it.

I loved it!

I loved Lost and Pound by Lilo Quie. I loved Nico and Shilo's story. Shilo was such a kind and caring alpha, just what Nico needed after his ordeal. I loved that they were fated mates.
