Moni's life has been one big roller coaster, all manipulated by Leo. Leo had planned his son and her life, before they even knew each other. Dealing with all the secrets Leo laid on her and Lei realizing he was included, their bond strengthen. Can't wait to see what the cookout will bring.

Book 3 felt like a filler book. While I understand how the beginning ties to the end of the story, it took until basically Act 3 for the book to get enjoyable. There was too much descriptive narration in Act 1 and 2.

Monique is learning just how much Lei likes her. She tries to wear a white item that labels her as neutral and Lei is not having it. Monique is not a shy one, she is very vocal ab9ut the things she dislike. So, by now they have had many spots.
Monique learns more about how Lei's dad, Leo really is connected to her and their meeting was not be a coincidence. She also learns that she is related to another faction of the syndicate. She learns how Lei's mom played role in her mom's life and how she would secretly help them.
Lei is learning to not always give in to his dark urges, but he can't help it where Monique is involved. Lei is learning just how manipulative his father really is. He does a soft launch of introducing Monique to his community. Even this had a fallout that was led by his dad and uncle.
Lei is also learning why his dad did some of the things he did. Lei is beginning to realize that the people he saw as friend was using him to benefit them.
This series is very good and ohh, yes the remains are still in not in the ground yet.

I felt like there was too much long, drawn out dialogues and explanations that were teased out and annoying. I expected Lei and Moni to make progress in their relationship from last book, but this one was filled with what felt like two different characters. The stern Mountain Master who gets everything he wants in Lei, and the Moni who fought for Friend of the East title disappear and we're left with Lei so madly in love his possessiveness and jealousy get worse but at the same time, he continuously backs off after Moni expresses some dissatisfaction. I love you is abundant throughout, so much so that it felt forced. I liked the first two books much better and this book doesn't really move the story along much at all.

Lei and Moni Favorite Couple
There my favorite couple so far it’s been a serious ride through death,family drama,tradition,kidnapping and finally finding love..There story is so unique I never thought Lei would get over Chanel but I think he was more infatuated with their love than anything else.. The more Moni shows Lei that she is a strong woman super intelligent and stands her ground when necessary the more in love he becomes..Leo is always several steps ahead of everyone he is the true puppet master..

Shaking My Head
I definitely love Lei and Moni, but omg, we have to do something about his crazy a$$ temper. Now, he is plotting to kill Marcello! We can not allow that!
I am enjoying learning how Lei and Moni are tied together. Learning that their mother's had a special friendship had me in tears. When Leo explained why he killed Moni's father and why he felt that she was the one for Lei, I was like, let's just drop the mike right here.
I can't wait to see what happens at the tea ceremony and the cookout!

Loving this series !
Lawd I am loving this story & cannot wait to read the next book! I laughed so much while reading it. I definitely need Monique’s ladies in waiting to have their own novellas because that scene of Duck, Chen & Hu meeting them had me cracking up. I love how protective Banks them are about Monique and her sisters. I just know the tea ceremony / cookout is gonna crazy 😆

Love this series, But....
This is top tier KW writing, storytelling, sexy scenes, attention to detail to allow you to mentally see the world she is creating. Love her work....BUT. This is also the series that is going on forever with very little happening. I think a day or two have passed...this is the longest week in fantasy world history🙄😬. This is the same gripe with the Lion and the Mouse series that's been going on for years

The story continues with more intense scenes and some unexpected revelations from Leo.
Leo definitely keeps you on your toes with this book. He is definitely a master manipulator and you don’t know what he is really up to until it’s too late
Happy that Lei and Monique confessed their love even though we knew already

Book 3 was an interesting trip. As the story progresses, readers learn more about the main couple navigating the budding relationship and are introduced to some more characters.
Lei and Monique each had their respective journeys as well. I won't spoil the story, however, I will say I was on the edge of my seat, among other things. Of course, there was no lack of steamy romance, intense action, and hilarious banter. There are a few characters that I am keeping my eye on. Overall, I enjoyed the story and am patiently looking forward to Book 4.

I am so enthralled
Where is book 4! I know, I know-we just got book 3! I just can't wait to dive into this tea ceremony and the treacherous words Lei just spewed regarding Marcelo. I really hope he doesn't betray Moni's trust in him. I sincerely hope he sees the light and decides against his sneaky little plan.

I do not play about Ms Kenya!! I love the way she writes. This book had so many details and could have been wrapped up in the earlier book but I still enjoyed it. Lei is insane and I love him 😂. I feel like ML hasn’t really seen him actually get crazy so looking forward to that possibility in the next book

He was truly his father’s son… wait until you find out what I mean by that! Intrigue, passion for days, mystery, a woman who knew her worth. Can I ask for more, thank you K.W for another amazing book. I can’t wait to see what’s next.

Master Mountain Mistress...has got a lot going on. Mz.Kenya in true beast mode as always when it comes to her fabulous style if writing us slaying this series to the max...there us everything you need and could possibly want in a romance novel...I can't put it down and I don't want to I love it...I want a Mountain Master too!!!

Exciting
Book three is even more exciting than One and two I’m enjoying the buildup, but however, Moni need more boundaries for Banks and Marcelo they get on my nerves they be having me going off and people be looking at me like I’m nuts 🤣🤣 however it’s really amazing it’s a real 10 out of 10

Wow! Every installment of the series gets more and more interesting. Leo is off the chain!!! Totally certifiable!!! I can’t with the mind games. I can just about imagine how Monique and Leo feel. Me, myself am trying to keep up with what’s going on as a reader and my head is still spinning.

Drawn Out
The story is good, but is being drawn out. The whole story takes place over 8 days, but there's 5 books to get you there. I also find that the author is overly detailed for minor things, but forgets major plot points.

I really like this book and the others in the series. It's a fun read for me, a break from the morally pitch black and this trope is everything for me.
