They story itself was good but I gave it 3 stars because if the repeat of paragraphs. Not keeping up with the story itself. Claiming she’s having twins but then reference the pregnancy as singular. DC Beks, have someone proof read your stories. If you did, get someone else
She’s a virgin, becomes a stripper for financial reasons, leaves work and while walking to her car, the handsome man from 2 nights ago is outside and she loses her virginity to him in the parking lot. Dumb! DNF
Story line is decent and will read rest of series but goodness the errors are crazy! Misspelling, repeat phrases, repeat paragraphs is enough to make u nuts!
The whole story is quite the cliche and everything you expect to happen will. And it’s just not written well. At all.
For example: “I jolt upright, gasping, the dream dissolving into the stark reality of my cramped apartment. My heart pounds against my ribs, the weight of the hundred grand in the duffel bag pulling me back to the present. There’s no time for lingering fears or second-guessing now; this money is meant for Mom, and by Thor’s hammer, I will use it for her, no matter what consequences might follow. I bolt upright, urgency gripping me. This money is meant for Mom, and by Thor’s hammer, I will use it for her and face whatever consequences later.” It’s SO repetitive! And this isn’t the only time this happens. Plus the whole first third of the book is full of all these metaphors or allegories and it’s just weird. It lacks good fluency.
And then you have awkward wording: Scarlet is pregnant and the doctor says: “I will order a scan for us to be sure how far gone you are.” Who says this about a pregnancy!?! How far “gone” you are!?
Scarlet knows she’s having twins, yet when she’s being kidnapped she thinks only about her “baby” and “Viktor’s child” and her “unborn child” REPEATEDLY. Never thinking that she has two children, not just one baby. Then finally after a dozen mentions of the singular baby, at the end of the initial kidnapping scene, she tells herself to survive “for the babies.” This is just messy writing.
Why so lazy? The story might’ve been ok, the typical mafia romance. With very little intrigue and very little to make it stand out or memorable, but with the laziness and awkwardness of the writing. It becomes a no, and I definitely don’t want to continue. At least it was a free book.
Furious Revenge is phenomenally written, well balanced and beautifully executed by DC BEKS. This is the first book that I have read by this author, and I was completely captivated by the plot, characters and the final outcome for the main characters. The characters are well developed and beautifully executed throughout the story. Furious Revenge follows the journey of Scarlett and Viktor, whom I found to be quite interesting and intriguing at the same time. I was actually hoping that Scarlett and Viktor were going to get a happily ever after, in the end they just got that. The chemistry between Scarlett and Viktor is absolutely breathtaking and undeniably irresistible to the point where neither one of them could no longer ignore the feelings they have for one another. I absolutely adored getting to know both Scarlett and Viktor as well as witnessing their love for one another coming to life through the pages of this book. Furious Revenge is definitely a book that I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a new dark mafia romance to read. I can’t wait to read more amazing books from DC BEKS in the future.

I like this new author - I’ve read their other series and like their writing style, the insight they give us into the main characters and how we can see their relationship developing throughout the book - it’s not just violence, sex and passion, there is always a great storyline.
My only complaint hence the rating is that there is a lot of repetitive dialogue - starts from about 14% into the book and continues throughout. The author needs to edit and proofread her work as it’s a shame - a great storyline but poor editing just lets their work down. Becomes annoying after a while.
This phenomenal book starts off with an exciting prologue which truly sets the tone of what’s to come. It is gorgeously written from both the female and male main characters point of views which I love as it gives so much more depth. The plot is amazing and emotional throughout. Literally could not put it down. Not only is the love story fantastic but the love and strength of family is wonderful to read. The characters are strong and vulnerable and the ending is absolutely perfect. I’m thrilled there are more books to the series!! This is a must own book, one you’ll definitely be rereading.
I have noticed this author but this is the first book I’ve have read and it was awesome. The story is compelling and captivating. I felt the story flowed nicely so it was easy to get immersed and taken. I love the length even though it was long, I was grateful because I didn’t want the story to end. The story stars Scarlett and Viktor and you couldn’t help but root for them. I will look for more stories by this author now.

I loved reading Viktor and Scarlett’s story in Furious revenge by DC BEKS. When Viktor and Scarlett spend one amazing night together Scarlett believes that’s it and she’ll never see Viktor again but she’s completely wrong. She finds herself kidnapped and held in his house. When he finds out she’s pregnant he’ll do anything to keep her and his children safe.

This book start off so strong for me. It had me silently crying for the MFC. Then, it just lost it's touch. I found myself thinking that it just became too cheesy for my liking. Overall, i would give it 3.5 stars but I rounded it up for the zon. I was able to snag an arc copy of this book. I'll definitely give this author another try.
This was a decent mafia romance read. The plot description caught my attention with words like kidnap and forced proximity - it had those things for sure, and it was entertaining, just not one that I hated to put down and get on with my day.

I like the characters, but I couldn't finish this book. It was not ready to be published yet, and desperately needs another edit. There are so many inconsistencies, errors, and repetitive sentences that I just couldn't do it any more. Especially when they find out they're having twins, yet are still referring to just one child in the next chapter.
Victor sees Scarlett dancing as a stripper and wants her. Her boyfriend owes a lot of money to the wrong people who beat Scarlett up. Victor pays his debts to get Scarlett in exchange for the debts. Scarlett becomes pregnant and Go tor takes her home with him. His enemies steal her and Victor and his men search for her. Good story lots of suspense.
Lots of great reviews so I’ll keep mine short, not all thoughts need to be said out-loud. Every thought Scarlett was spoken to herself. Such a minor thing but for some reason it bugged me and I couldn’t get past it. DNF @ 14% so won’t rate.
Whatever you think you've read before? This ISN'T it!! This is Fresh & Raw!! Fascinating characters! Heart stopping battle scenes! Heartwarming touches. All around GREAT WORK!
yes it was a little predictable but after the amount of mafia dark romance books you kinda understand what’s coming. Yes it had a slow (fast) burn, blood and death but you couldn’t help but love all the character and I can’t wait to see them develop.
No es que sea malo sino que es mafia vainilla... y ya estoy aburrida de la mafia vainilla. Es que no puedes encontrar nada emocionante.... pero para nuevos lectores es un libro que podría resumir muchos otros
It jumps around without substance. The writer couldn't decide whether the mfc had grey or green eyes so different chapters she has different color, same with her mom's hair color. I ended up just skipping to the end and I still didn't find a character I liked.
This story really should be one star but it did keep be busy. I didn't who was who half the time. It was bad. The romance really didn't come until the end. Oh were they in Russia the whole or United States the whole time.
Liked the idea of the story line, I'm a sucker for a love story , but whoever proof read this needs a new job. Repeated sentences and paragraphs was a bit distracting, probably won't read the rest of the series
I enjoyed furious revenge which was Viktor and Scarlet’s story. It was a dark, intense read. I got a copy of the book and voluntarily leaving this review.
