About the author

Amber Davis is an avid reader who after lots of encouragement from her friends, decided it was time to put pen to paper and write the book that had been niggling at her for some time. Amber suffers from multiple autoimmune and invisible illness diseases and because of this, some of these illnesses are discussed in her books through the life of some of her characters.

She is passionate about bringing awareness to these conditions.

She owns a merch printing company with her best friend and has a whole bunch of other projects on the go.

When she isn’t working or reading, she’s binge watching TV shows and re-watching ALL the Disney movies, especially the classics. She’s a massive fan of all things Disney and has quite a large collection of books and Elmo’s.

Amber is originally from Queensland but has been living in Melbourne with her dog Bella for the past 7 years.

This is quite a short book, so don’t expect slow burn romance or anything, it’s somewhat insta-love👀
Beware it does have a lot of spicy scenes!
I really enjoyed this book! It was my first ARC and I could definitely see it curing a reading slump, since it is short book and also because you don’t have to use your brain 💕

Tempting Mr. Blakely by Amber Davis was a spicy, satisfying novella that delivered exactly what I wanted. A quick, steamy read with plenty of chemistry, it held my attention from start to finish.

Alexus and Benedict’s relationship sizzled, and their tension was undeniable. Their dynamic was engaging, but I did feel like I was dropped into the middle of their story. The book hints at key moments between them before the events of the novella—moments that ignited their connection—and I would have loved to see those play out on the page. It would have made their emotional pull even stronger and deepened my investment in them as a couple.

The spice was top-tier, with every interaction between the leads bringing the sizzle and leaving me wanting more.

This novella is part of the New Hope world, and while it can be read as a standalone (which is what I did), I’d recommend starting from the beginning of the series to fully appreciate the connections between characters. In fact, this book has me eager to go back and do just that!

If you’re looking for a short, steamy romance with engaging characters and plenty of heat, Tempting Mr. Blakely is definitely worth picking up.

I don't know what I loved more... the steamy chemistry between Alexus and Benedict, or the absolute hilariousness that was THE Logan Van Der Berg. I mean, seriously, all I can say is The Dinner Scene. It was gold, left me laughing out loud, and I can't wait for Logan's book. But back to the couple of the hour. This novella was hot, hot, hot. The chemistry between Benedict and Alexus was on point and oh so naughty, leaving me tingling. The nurse and patient trope was done beautifully with a sunshine nurse and a grumpy patient. I can't wait to see these two pop up more frequently, and hopefully, we get another Mrs Blakely in the future. As always, Well Done, Amber, on another beautiful New Hope World Novel.

🩺Tempting Mr Blakely by Amber Davis🩺

This is a forbidden romance spicy novella between a temp live in nurse and her billionaire patient. The instant attraction between these two was hot and heavy straight away, plenty of spicy scenes. There are also a few scenes that had me giggling with the comedic relief Logan (Alexus’s brother).

If you are keen to read a quick, insta-love, spicy novella that does not deep dive into the characters then this will be right up your alley. I enjoy the concept however I want more, I feel this could be so good with a bit extra time, more time spent exploring the sex club and a little bit less repetitiveness.

A new book in the New Hope after Dark series.

Alexus is a nurse who used to come from money. She has taken on working for Mr Blakely who is a CEO of his own companies and just had major surgery. He is to have a home nurse for the next 2 weeks. Little did they know what would happen.

Benedict avoids family so what has changed since Alexus moved in as his personal nurse for 2 weeks.

Tropes: Nursw, dual POV, strangers to lovers, billionaire romance, employee and employer romance, don’t stuff it up, age gap, your not leaving, spicy

Triggers: family issues, patient nurse, diabetic (hospital visit)

Alexus is a nurse and has a home care job for a couple of weeks looking after Benedict who is recovering from surgery.
Only the chemistry is off the charts and this job looks anything but professional.
If you like a lot of sizzle and naughty scenes then this story is for you. Me...I'm a skimmer of intimate scenes so being a novella there wasn't much in the way of storyline for me to sink my teeth into.
I am interested to see how this story looks in the months to come as I received a very early read.
I do recommend this author and will likely stick to her rom coms.

The tension was there, the connection Benedict and Alexus had was off the charts, it was a fantastic and quick read with hot spice .. it was definitely not NSFW as I was scared my coworker accidentally read some words lol.. I loved how Arden teased Benedict about his relationship with Alexus and how chill he actually was with it. I do however would’ve liked a little more of a backstory with Arden and Benedict.. I know there was a few things in Arden and the girl downstairs but I def missed a little backstory there.

It is a short book, but spicy!
I loved it and read it in under 48 hours. So much tension and everything.
I loved seeing Arden and Ella thriving and to see Logan and Julia. Julia is 18 now and Logan is trying to get a date with her.
To the main plot. It was quite obvious, what was going to happen but still good! If you want more story and ups and downs, this book is not it. But it will get you out of a reading slum.
Soooo good and another 5 star read from Amber Davis.

I found Amber on TikTok and was excited to do an ARC read for my honest review.

A great novella! It was a short read 170 pages but still felt I got to know Alexus and Benedict and their steamy relationship 🫣🌶️
Would have liked to know more on Benedict’s relationship with his kids and why Alexus lost her fortune, but maybe this will be answered in the next book.
Keep up the great writing Amber and can’t wait to read more books that you have written.

Great short spicy story 🌶️🌶️ 🥵 This is a great story about a beautiful girl falling for the much older, handsome and commanding man who is sexy and powerful. Breaking all the rules while she works for him, she is there to take care of his needs but in the end he is tending to hers as well. In my opinion is well written, a great quick read and definitely worth checking out the other New Hope, After Dark novellas.

The chemistry between these two is fire! Alexus has reservations due to past traumas but Benedict knows what he wants and goes after it with single minded focus. That nice little extra spicy was unexpected, well done. I love the banter between all the characters and family and can not wait for Logan's story!

I couldn’t stop reading,
Love the cross over from her other series.
Arden is totally my fav character.
Here’s hoping there’s more in this series.

I love Amber’s books and this was no different! It is a short book and was able to read it in one sitting. Nurse and patient romance. Don’t expect a slow romance with lots of build up. It starts out right away with some mild spice and builds quick.

Alexis is a nurse who goes to work for a billionaire after his surgery

I felt a little lost In this book, I do recommend reading the previous book even though they are standalones I believe you will enjoy this one more knowing a little more about the characters.
It feels like the FMC and mmc have some history but it isn’t touched on in this book

This is a slow burn, when there is spice it is done well,
I enjoyed this novella I just wish I read the first one aswell
