Two broken souls. One fragile thread of connection. Can trust heal the wounds of the past?

Abigail Winters has spent her life picking up the pieces. A single mother raising her baby, Danny, after the death of her soldier boyfriend, Abby finds strength in the small family she’s a kind-hearted baker who feels like a surrogate father and a community she gives back to in every way she can. She’s always believed in seeing the good in people—even when it feels like no one else does.

Blake Sullivan has spent years running—from his past, his pain, and the demons that haunt him. Homeless and consumed by the memories of a war that changed him forever, he lives in the shadows of a tent camp, keeping the world at arm’s length. But Abby’s kindness is a light he didn’t expect. Her generosity chips away at his defenses, and the life she offers—a family, hope, love—is everything he never thought he deserved.

When Abby discovers the truth about Blake’s connection to her late boyfriend, the fragile trust between them is tested. As secrets unravel and their worlds collide, both must confront the wounds of the past and decide whether they can truly move forward together.

In Fragile Threads , the bonds of family, forgiveness, and hope are tested against the backdrop of quiet resilience and unspoken pain. Perfect for readers who love emotional journeys, raw and real characters, and stories of love that emerge from unexpected places.

Author's I wanted to give you a kind both Fragile Threads (Book 1) and Fraying Bonds (Book 2) end on a cliffhanger.

But don’t worry—there’s no need to wait for the next part of the story. The entire series, including the final book, Woven Futures, is available now! You can continue Abby and Blake’s adventure without delay and experience every twist, triumph, and tender moment as they fight for survival and the hope of a new tomorrow.

Fragile Threads

Such a good read! Abby is a single mother to her baby Danny after her husband has died fighting overseas. Blake and his dog major are living in a tent camp while he can't escape his past and the ptsd from fighting overseas and loosing his brother in arms. Abby and Blake have a connection they don't understand and they cant fight. Everyone has an uneasy feeling that something is a about to happen, then one day the lights go out.

Refreshing

This book is a refreshing change for post-apocalyptic narratives. I don't know where the following books are headed, but it’s so extraordinarily nice to not read about the instantaneous creation of gangs and ubiquitous rampant violence. (That’s probably volume two .) In any event, this is a pleasant prelude to whatever follows.
