He doesn’t do enough for her to forgive him. They have no emotional growth together and the only reason she justifies him kidnapping her is that he’s hot. She literally almost dies from getting drugged and they have s*x a few minutes after she wakes up with no regard for her safety.

I am convinced the reason this has a 4+ rating is because it was only friends that had read it and everyone else was too embarrassed to admit they read it to leave a review. well, I'll be strong. this was awful. Just poorly written, no chemistry, no character development. awful.

Vivienne And Antonio, their story had promise. He kidnaps her, after originally ’meeting’ her at a bar. He marries her against her will. Story then seems to lag. Do they at least like each other? She is stubborn, intelligent and becomes more confused over time. Is he worth loving?
Lots of external violence, snippets of humour, some passion and to be honest lots of nothing that grabbed me. Epilogue was cute.

Did not finish.
I could not finish this. Antonio does not treat Vivienne well a lot of the time. One thing he does is I found it unforgivable. I find Vivienne weak. She got angry at Antonio, then caved -in to him.

Antonia had his hands full when he decided to kidnapp Vivenne his enemy 's daughter after his adopted father Dante was killed.She fought hard,she tried to escape more then once,even go so far and take the housekeeper by knife and even try to snuff out Antonio by a pillow.He put up enough,by locking her in her room,even handcuffing her to a chair while she ate.Vivenne couldn't except that her father wanted kill Antonio, but she changed her mind when she went to see her sister and father and he kidnapped her and placed her in danger and he only thought of himself.Also she found out some information about her mother and Antonio 's family.Things do turn better for Antonio and Vivienne before she goes to see her father and evens gets better after Antonio recuse her from her father and partner in crime.This was a good story for a Mafia story,happy ending and I like the man candy for the cover!

Antonio and Vivienne’s story had a lot of potential. Their first meeting in the club was really promising, as was the moment he finds out she’s the daughter of a rival/ enemy. Add the kidnapping on top of that, and it could have been intense, but before anything develops between them, there’s a scene where he gets a BJ from another woman. I mean, they weren’t together and didn’t really know each other at that point, but he’s constantly thinking about Vivienne and even marries her right after the kidnapping, so that scene felt unnecessary to me. Overall, there’s definitely physical attraction between them, but emotionally it felt like something was missing.

This story was a very good mafia romance. Vivienne and Antonio were very good together. They had an immediate attraction to each other. Antonio realizes that she is the daughter of his enemy. He kidnaps her and then marries her against her father's will. Vivienne is not happy when she finds out who Antonio really is.
If you enjoy action and suspense with romance this is the story for you. It has a lot of mystery as well.

Just couldn’t even put it down . It was a steamy page turner and the suspense was insane and intense. I was on verge of my seat and it was addicted. Vivienne was spending time with her sister at this restaurant in town. As she saw Antonio across the way. Their eyes meet and it was a cold but warm moment. Vivienne and Antonio chemistry between them was captivating and spicy hot. And he knew that he have to her for himself. He needed to be married before he can take over his family mafia empire. Will she be his queen in this moment as they couldn’t fight the temptation any longer. One night with him will change her life forever.

This book had such potential. There were a lot of spelling errors and Grammer errors. The storyline is decent, but it could be better. I wouldn't have named this book "Dark Mafia Heir" as the main character isn't very dark st all and the "heir" doesn't even become a thing until the last couple chapters. Antonio, the MMC, doesn't even kill the people who attempted to kill his wife. He just let's them go. Not a book K would recommend unless it was revised.

Kayla is undeniably one of my favorite authors to read any and all of her mafia romance books. So, take caution when you read this hot and suspenseful romance book because Vivienne and Antonio are coming in HOT and there is no chance things are going to be cooling off anytime soon until you finish the book. This book has lots of surprises, secrets and romance you are going to devour reading.

The story is great!
I would have loved to give it 5 stars! The story is really good! The characters are loveable!! Kayla Mason is a great writer!!! I just couldn't because there were too many story inconsistencies and typos. There were so many that for me, it took away from the story. It seemed like it wasn't proofread at all.

Antonio and Vivienne come from families that are against each other. Antonio kidnaps Vivienne and forces her to marry him so he can get back at her father. What ends up happening is predictable but I love happy endings and this book has it!

Underwhelming
This story should have been a better read! The grammatical errors took my out of the plot. I suspect this may have been written by AI. I would skip this book and move on to an author who has enough respect for their readers to use spell check or Grammarly.

Good Book

So emotional!
Pro: short an sweet; easy read
Cons: cannot stand cry babies and Vivienne was truly. Harper still needs growing up. Vivi character was portrayed as hard but was soft as they come and naive. Intimacy made turned her into a docile sub to the fullest.

It was a good read.
Definitely NOT enough groveling for the crappy way he treated her.
She gave it way too easy after being treated worse than a dumpster of decomposing trash.
Even with that said, I would still read it again & and definitely recommend it.

Great Story
I enjoyed the book, all the twists and turns finding out the truth of Antonio family and who killed them was a surprise to me. The story is so intense I read the book in one day.
