Book 2 of the Dark Academia Dark Fantasy Romance Series
The drama has not even begun…
Vanderwood University, where the descendants of the town's three most influential families clash. A tension zone full of conflicts, dangers, and secrets. A place, where a tragedy happened two decades ago...
For ambitious law student Emely Copeland, the pack has always been priority. And marrying the Russian Alpha's son seems like the perfect way to prove her loyalty. However, complications arise when her childhood friend suddenly shows interest in her. And as if that weren’t enough, her academic rival and son of the family enemies, Miles DeLoughrey, who shouldn't even be near her, seems to be eager to become her academic rival, not without painfully reminding her of the role she has to play in a system of power and intrigue.
Meanwhile, science student Julie Blair is determined to uncover what the mysterious and dangerous Professor Quentin Tiberius is up to, all while hiding her rapidly growing powers from the Circle. But how long can she keep her true identity hidden? And is her professor the only one she should be wary of?
The students' fates seem to increasingly intertwine, especially after discovering the diary entries of a girl who vanished twenty years ago… But should they delve deeper into the past, or will it lead them all to their doom?

Welcome back to Blairville, where this beautiful author transport you to this small town in Canada with all its mystery. I would like to thank the author for choosing me to be one of her ARC reader, I am and will be forever grateful to have this opportunity.
We get to taste the romance between certain characters as they embark on this journey. This author knows how to keep you on your toes as the storyline flows on it's own. The character growth in the second book is beautiful made and shown.
I can imagine all the details she carefully curated to bring this story to life, make me feel like I am right in the room with the characters.
The question remains, Who and What is Bayla Adams?
I am excited to be part of this journey and discovering the secrets Blairville buried.
Step inside Vanderwood University, you will not be disappointed.
I was lucky enough to receive my first ever ARC for book 2.
I discovered this series last year, and became obsessed with everything about it.
The vibes reminded me of the tv shows “the secret circle”, “the vampire diaries” but wraped in its own uniqueness.
It had everything I was looking for and way more to come that is hinted all throughout and best of all, it didn’t feel like a forced plot- it feels like a real immersive story/world.
This book continues on from book one *B1 spoiler* after bayla and larissa were attacked by a vampire, and ezra (madys brother) was killed. *End of B1 spoiler* . It did start off slow for 30% of the book but this added to the mystery vibes.
However, it starts to pick up on pace and we are suddenly in an mystery quest to discover what happened 20 years ago, what caused the treaty as well as the hate between witches- wolves- a vampires- and more that I don’t want to spoil. Overall it is slow pace/development which is realistic
This story makes it seem like it was fate to all end up together in Blairville and cross pathways. The found family trope is a favourite of mine, and it starts to develop more as you read and I’m OBSESSED WITH EVERYONE, especially when they’re all together, its chaos, those scenes made me laugh and kick my feet.
In book 2 you get - The mystery you’re looking for - Enemies to “lovers” establishment - The angst (specifically for mady, i just feel likes shes a puppy thats kicked in the face, the establishment of new friendships, - The “friends” part of “friends to lovers” but with abit of sexual tension-no smut - Trust issues - You get more but I don’t want spoilers in my review
Bayla is my favourite character
The only downside is i want everything to be explored more, I wish it was 10000000 pages idc i just want more 😂
This book makes me feel like im right there with them. I am sad when I finished it because it feels like i’m left out of this world and that I cant see what my besties are doing❤️😣
I cant wait for Book 3 to come out and hopefully the entire series soon😫 ❤️❤️❤️
4/5
Thank you to the wonderful author who planned and wrote this story !🤍🤍🤍
My mind exploded after I finished this. To be honest I loved the first book but I wasn't sure if this one would live up to that standard but it surpassed all my expectations and dare I say it's even better than the first one . Definitely a 5 ⭐ read. My heart bleeds for Emely and Miles. (Hence the song choice, it's perfect for them!) Oh how I screamed with ecstasy over Julie's personality development and the secrets 🤫. (Won't spoil that). I absolutely hate the other Quatura girls , how they abandoned Julie and before her Mady. I lived the parallels between the diary entries and the present . ( I have so many theories I don't know what to do with em. ) Loved Bayla and Julian's dynamic but the ending, oh poor Julian . As always Larissa is a badass , I'm really excited to dive in her past though. The suspense and the secrets the elder members of the species are hiding; are enthralling. The only complain I have is that I wanted to see more of Mady in the story. And Professor Tiberius...... So many mysteries . Also why aren't we getting any more Larissa Adrian ( who's the new IT guy stealing Larissa's attention). Author you can't do this I need the 3 books or I'll faint. 😂 So far the best read of 2025 and definitely will stay in that tier ! I recommend you all to read it and leave a review so I can discuss obviously. 🙄 And if you're my friend and you're not reading this I'm revoking friendship rights......
first of all, why does a character always die at the end of the book?? graham didnt deserve that AND JULAIN 😭😭
ALSO JULIAN IS TANIAS SON?? IS ALARIK THE FATHER because it has been mentioned quite a few times that julian reminds them of alarik..
i wanted to know who baylas father is SO BAD but it wasn’t revealed in this book 💔also this is just what i think but.. why does i feel like bayla was the result of an experiment or something? i mean.. she is like a ruisangor, senseque, AND a quatura. how can that be possible? i’m so curious i do not have the patience to wait for the remaining books.
this book was actually good but ngl i wasn’t THAT interested in emely, julie, and quentin’s chapters. tho towards the end it did get interesting. i did absolutely love baylas chapters and wanted MORE of hers 😞
time for me to find some other books that will keep me busy so i wouldn’t be dying of curiosity while waiting for the next books.

I finished this book, and my mind is still spinning! So many shocking reveals, but at the same time, there are still so many mysteries left unsolved—I need the next book right now!
If you love The Vampire Diaries, Legacies, or anything with vampires, witches, and werewolves, trust me, you’re going to love this series. The story keeps getting better, the world feels even more alive, and the characters… oh, some I adore, and some I really want to throw out the window.
Speaking of which—just a tiny spoiler—this book gave us our own Miss Umbridge, and I swear, she’s just as annoying as the original.
Overall, such an amazing book! Thank you, author, for this wild adventure. Can’t wait for more! 🖤
So, let's just start by saying this book is one of the best book I ever read. If you have any doubts about starting it, stop. RUN, buy it, you won't regret it I swear. Now, for the details.
First of all, the worldbuilding is even more developed than in the first book, there are many details about the places, the species, the lore and all that keep coming to create such a unique universe that feels incredebly immersive! I swear I just want to live there now. Blairville has an atmosphere that I never found anywhere else, and reading book 2 felt like coming home somehow? Just everything about it is undescribable, and yet Maezos manages to do so, to transmit this mood and these feelings to us in such a way that makes it unforgettable. And special mention for Vanderwood university, I just wish I could go there and follow classes amoung the students, walking around campus and see everything with my own eyes, not just my imagination.
Then the characters. I was already attached to them in the first book, and this attachment kept growing in this one. They're all so relatable, and complex, and reading their POV's just feels like being in a conversation with them. I particularly loved Emely in this one, I feel like I got to know her and I just understood her immediatly. I'll try not to spoil anything, but her issues with her father, and the fight she has against her own feeling, I FELT it. And that brings me to Miles, which has become one of my favourite: he's just so well written I loved all his flaws and everything about him really. Discovering him, pieces by pieces, is one of the things I loved most. Bayla and Julie touched me particularly, as well as Larissa, cause they're just so strong and I feel like I learned a lot from them, they're really inspiring. All the characters are so beautiful, and seeing them starting to work together was one of the best thing I've ever read.
The writing was soooo good too?? I felt like I was IN the book in a way, with the descriptions that are so well done, not too long but not too short either, perfectly balanced amoung the action, the plot twits, the dialogues, and all. And said plot twists? WOW. I was not expecting any of them, and I loved that. THE ENDING??? I just can't wait to read the next book now, and I know it's just going to get better. I loved book 1, but I feel like book 2 really sarts getting into the "real" plot, the plot we're going to follow for the whole series. And I'm here for it, cause this plot is something else. And Maezos also managed to make me cry, laugh, scream, and feel so many emotions. She's a genius.
Special mention for the music too, they were perfect for the scenes recommended, and it added so much to the reading experience. I truly recommend to follow the recommendations and changes, especially for the last part of the book.
I have so many things to say but I feel like it's better to let you discover the book by yourself, so I'll just let you do so.
I’ve had the privilege to receive an ARC; thank you, Maezos, love you :) I have to say I love this series. There were so many pivotal turns, so many character developments, so much covered, uncovered secrets, rivalries, and much, much more. If I had to describe The Blairville Legacies, it is a slow-burn dark fantasy romance. In fact, this is the first fantasy book/series I have read, and I enjoyed diving into the Maezos-verse.
I adore all characters, but Julie Blair holds a special place in my Quatura heart. I feel like she’s portrayed as an underdog but has so much potential, so much fire within her that’s waiting to be unleashed. Also, I am rooting for her and Erik! There is a lot of imagery present, especially when I am someone who enjoys visuals; it makes it feel as though the reader is inside the book. I also enjoyed that all characters (cough, cough, Miles) are flawed and have their struggles, but we as readers get to grow alongside them and get to appreciate them navigating through the feuding families secrets, their species, hatred, and learning to respect one another—to coexist.
I love Blairville, Vanderwood University, simply because I feel like I can live vicariously through each character. Maezos’s writing style is immersive and understandable; you transition through so many POVs, and the pacing is incredible. Also, the fact that Maezos weaves effortlessly through SO MANY POVs, I admire you! Also, can I say I loved the element of how music is incorporated, it feels personal and has a beauty of its own.
If you’re looking to laugh, to cry, to connect with the characters on an intimate and angsty level, or to get lost in Blairville’s legacy, this is your series!
PSA: I am dying in anticipation for the next book; yes, I am sitting… ON EDGE. Cliffhangers and I, we are like Senseque and Ruisangor.
As a a great fan of author I am gonna say its the best series and definitely going to be much more with every book added in the series. Each POV each perspective adds new depth, new secrets, and new emotional layers, building a narrative that feels both epic and incredibly personal. No voice is wasted, no chapter feels like filler; every shift in viewpoint hits with impact and intention, keeping you glued to the page. And the world-building—my god. It somehow manages to expand even further without ever losing coherence. Every location feels alive, textured, and lived-in, from the political undercurrents to the folklore threaded through the shadows. You can practically breathe the air of this world, feel its history press against the characters, and sense the danger lurking just out of sight. But what truly makes this book impossible to put down are the twists. Just when you think you’ve figured out the direction, the author smirks (you can feel it) and pulls the rug out from under you. Again. And again. The suspense is relentless in the best possible way—tight, daring, and merciless. And yes, for fellow romance lovers: the spice is here, simmering through the tension, the stolen glances, the aching slow-burn moments, and the explosive chemistry. The romantic threads never overshadow the plot, but oh, do they heighten it. Every intimate moment feels earned, emotional, and deliciously satisfying. In short, this book is everything I hoped for and so much more. It’s the kind of story that keeps you awake at 3 a.m., whispering “just one more chapter,” knowing full well you’re lying to yourself. A triumph for fans and definitely a must-read.
I absolutely loved The Blairville Legacies. From the first chapter, I was engrossed by the atmosphere of Vanderwood University, a place bubbling with secrets, history, and undercurrents of tension between the descendants of the town’s most influential families.
What truly drew me in were the characters, flawed, powerful, vulnerable, and conflicting in all the best ways. I found myself rooting for them even as their loyalties shifted, and the betrayals and alliances constantly kept me guessing. The drama isn’t melodramatic for drama’s sake, the author weaves genuine tension, emotional depth, and layered relationships that made me pause and reflect more than once.
I adored the small details, the late-night whispers in dimly lit hallways, the weight of generational expectations, the longing for freedom mixed with fear of legacy, and the way shared secrets bonded characters even when trust seemed impossible. Those nuances made the story feel alive and real.
This book satisfied my craving for intrigue, family legacy, hidden alliances, and the messy complexity of identity and belonging. I closed it feeling like I’d lived a chapter of real life, full of heartbreak, hope, and haunting memories that linger.
If you’re looking for a story that grips you from the first page and refuses to let go, one where every character carries shadows of the past, and every choice echoes through generations, you absolutely should read The Blairville Legacies. I can’t wait to see what comes next for these characters, and I’ve already recommended it to friends who love tangled loyalties, dark secrets, and slow-burn revelations.
*SPOILERS ZONE,READ AT OWNERS RISK* As a fellow reader , I am proud to have the honor of receiving my arcs book, thank you so much Maezos, I love you ❤,all the more privilege to have actually READ it, for those who have read it will know that it is a totally work of art, nothing and I mean nothing can make me drop this book, only the parts where I was shocked to the bone and needed 3 business days to process wtf I just read, those who have read TBL 1 would understand that the shock is massive in TBL 2 So much that I'd felt it all the way to my brain cells, no joke This is not me over hyping it people, I know a good book when I see one, so much so that when I found out that Adrian was Larissa's UNCLE, I was willing to sell my freaking soul just to find out what in God's name was going on here, those who read TBL 1 can instantly recall the "passionate" moment they had, God knew I enjoyed it but damn, I need to find out more about this twisted family tree Moving on, I loved the way all the characters have their own important roles to play and each and everyone of them ended in a cliffhanger (screaming Maezos name in pure agony for treating us like this) but those cliffhangers ended in utter joy and pride for me and EVERYONE is going through something so heartbreaking it's hard to forget I finished TBL 2,i sat down, cried, and was mourning the loss of not reading the continuation of the book I do hope TBL 3 comes out soon enough because questions are eating me up from the inside out This book finished me and I don't think I want to be saved 5 ⭐

Don’t walk — RUN and grab this book! It’s massive, but so insanely good that I devoured it in under 24 hours. And for the next few weeks, my mind lived rent-free in Blairville. This book wasn’t just a read; it was a whole damn experience. Maezos, I need the next book right now.
I don’t want to spoil anything, but Larissa — totally unexpected. The sibling bond between Miles and Larissa? Perfection. These two are my babies. And the physical tension between Miles and Emely? It was giving. I’m ready to start a fan club for Miles because he’s just that awesome.
And Balya Adams?? I NEED to know what she is and who she really is. Also, Julie and the Professor (I KNEW he was Eric!!!). I still can’t get over the fact that Julie is pregnant.
Someone called the group — Balya, Julian, Miles, Julie, and Emely — the Scooby-Doo gang, and honestly, that’s spot on. They’re literally digging up the buried past (cough Alice cough), and I’m rooting for them to uncover what really happened 20 years ago because I’m just as invested as they are.
There are so many characters and intertwining plotlines, yet the story flows effortlessly. The writing is impeccable — I always knew exactly what Maezos was trying to convey. The plot twists, suspense, tension, drama, buildup, chaos, and mystery were all chef’s kiss.
It’s been nearly a month since I read this book (thank you Maezos, for the ARC), and I still can’t get over it. I am truly obsessed.

I finished book two in the blairville legacies .but i feel THE BOOK FINISHED ME!!!
Maezos your book completely detonated my expectations. Book two deepens the world of Blairville in every possible way. Vanderwood University is steeped in secrets, rivalries, and old tragedies that refuse to stay buried, and the tension between the town’s most powerful families is sharper than ever. The atmosphere is classic dark academia intellectual ambition tangled with danger, legacy, and moral compromise.
My maine obsession is Bayla… I have so many questions. Every time she appears, the energy shifts. She’s unpredictable, dangerous, and clearly holding back layers of secrets we’re only starting to glimpse. I desperately need answers about her powers, her motives, and her connection to the other characters especially Alarik👀👀 Their moments together are electric, but far too brief.
This is not all Julie Blair’s storyline adds a layer of suspense and mystery. Her determination to uncover Professor Quentin Tiberius’s secrets while hiding her own powers creates constant tension, and the slow reveal of her abilities keeps the stakes high. I loved how the author keeps her true identity a mystery it adds depth to the suspense and makes me even more invested in her journey.
By the end, I wasn’t just hooked I was desperate for book three. I need answers. I need more Bayla. I need more Alarik. I need everything the next book will bring.
EXCUSE ME WHATTTTTTTT??? WHAT IN THE ABSOLUTE AMAZINGLY WELL WRITTEN THING HAVE I READ. MY HEAD STILL STUCK IN HERE TRYING TO GET OVER THIS, CAUSE THE SERIES JUST KEPT GETTING BETTER. JUST THE FACT THAT THIS SERIES IS LITERALLY ONE OF MY TOP SERIES ATP IS MAKING ME HAPPY, LIKE BRUH WELCOME TO MY TOP LIST, YOU'VE MADE IT FAR AND YOU'VE PIQUED MY GROWING INTEREST AND GLAD TO SAY AM OFFICIALLY AND DEEPLY PHYSIOLOGICALLY OBSESSED🤨🛐
I FUCKING SWEAR IT HAS THE BEST MC'S YOU COULD EVER ASK FOR, AND this character development is having me in a chokehold, even tho am about to faint from the cliffhanger, am hooked, and I don't want to be released. Can I wait for the next book? Absolutely not cause I just want to have it in my hand and feed my growing curiosity 👀👀. And am still obsessed with that one IDGAF professor, bruh have me in even tho he's just a nonchalant asshole.
And can we stop with the secrets?!!!!!!! THEY'RE FINDING OUT RIGHT UNDER YOUR NOSES AND IT JUST KEPT WORSE BUT YOU STILL WANNA HIDE🤨, HELL NAH. AND AM UP FOR THIS ENEMY FAMILY REBELLING AGAINST THEIR FAMILY, GO OFF QUEENS/KINGS AND SLAY, AND I'LL BE THE NONCHALANT ALARIK WATCHING FROM SOMEWHERE IN VANDERWOOD🙌🏻☕.
Bravo with the plot twist cause I can't solve a murder case anymore, cause I couldn't even find a single thing to decipher HERE 😭👆🏻 SLAY QUEEN🤌

finished this arc and the brainrot i've had is unbelievable. maezos came out swinging with plot twists i never saw coming in a million light years. this book pays off the slow burn of book one so well while still continuing and building tension for certain plot points. the way everything unfolds is just chef’s kiss.
julie and miles completely stole the show for me. julie’s character arc in this book is a sight to behold, and i absolutely cannot wait to see how her journey continues. and adrian deloughrey… listen. i need to know everything about him. that’s my pookie, idc what anyone says. what if he’s the devil? well, at least the devil has a job. at least he’s active in the community. jokes aside, i’m rooting for him to get together with a certain character so bad, please let it happen.
all the deloughsey’s are 100% worth the hype (and quentin can be an honorary member, even if he’d hate it). this book completely delivered, and now i’m counting down the days until the next one.
.................
19-02-25
oh i enjoyed the heck out of it. book 1 was confusing and all over the place but book 2 LANDS so well. I ADORED the progressions in this one; the character development and the TWISTS?? oh y'all ain't ready AT ALL.
julie my queen, adrian my man and miles my pookie!!!
This is the DARK ACADEMIA book you're looking for!
The pacing in this book is so perfect. The world building is happening. You get to know every character's personality. There's background information spilled in the most subtle of ways and I love that because it allows me to think about what's going to happen instead of the author just telling me.
I love that there is no insta-love and every character is slowly coming to terms with who they like and the way it's taking place has my slow burn heart beating at 100 miles per hour.
The drama and secrets is chef's kiss. I love the different stories happening at the same time and love how everything is slowly coming together. The background characters also add to the story and aren't just there for no reason. Love that.
I honestly don't know how I am going wait for this series to be complete. I am in love. Again it's a whole movie, you can picture every event take place and the immersiveness from her Instagram posts add to the vibe. [some spoilers on instagram]
I've finished the second book of The Blairville Legacies, and I am absolutely thrilled. Some secrets from the first book have been revealed, while others are still driving me crazy—I need the next book ASAP!
Julie got so much spotlight in this book, and her powers are on another level. Plus, there's a secret about her that I’m eager to uncover.
The tension between Miles and Emely, the academic rivals, is intense, and the Ruisangor-Senseque rivalry takes things to a whole new level. The way their conflicts unfold is just chef’s kiss.
And then there's Bayla. The author is really testing our patience by keeping her true identity a mystery, but I have a strong feeling she’s going to be something very special. I’ll wait for it.
The entry of Kieran Wheeler? Absolute 🔥🔥!
There are so many new things that will blow your mind, and the revelations from the past will have you spiraling into wild theories. So, if you haven't read it yet—go do it now!
THIS WAS SIMPLY AMAZING YHE CLIFF HANGER HELLOOOO IM DYING RN THE NEXT BOOK IS A NEEEEEDDDD THE GIRL WOLF AND HER ENEMY AINT NO WAY IT WAS LEFT LIKE THAT IM ACTUALLY DOING TO CRAHS OUT
AND OH my lord
Julie’s CHACTER development is top notch. I absolutely love to see her grow. Also him…. Oohhhh la la
The ending + Vivienna or should I say fucking bitch as face I absolutely loath her, like I agree she is kinda cool but she’s such a bitch. I Hate Her For it. Like man you could have been so cool but you just had to be a god dam bully.
The eye has got me interested. Like oh, who’s this specimen.
Miles OMG I COULD DEDICATE A WHOLE ARTICLE TO HIM GOS HES JUST OH MY LORD THOUGH-OUT THE BOOK YOU GET TO LEARN MORE ABOUT HIM AND ITS JUST CHEFS KISS HE AHHHHHHHHH that’s all I can say without spoilers aside for the face that he is HOT AF LIKE AMEN. I WANT HIM OML IF she doesn’t take him, I willllllll.
I love the book and will absolutely get the next book as soon as it is out bc that is a neeeed. It is a necessity for my sanity
𝗔𝗥𝗖 𝗥𝗘𝗩𝗜𝗘𝗪 Okay, let me tell you: this book was everything. I’ll admit, I normally get a little lost with too many POVs, but TBL? It nailed it. You won’t get lost in the chaos—everything flows so smoothly, you’ll barely notice you’re juggling all these different perspectives.
If you’re into urban fantasy with a dark academia vibe, you’re gonna devour this like it’s your favorite guilty pleasure snack. Watching these families and species collide in all their messy, dramatic glory is chef’s kiss also, can we talk about Julie and Mr. Professor for a second? They’re my absolute faves so far.
And okay, Maezos, I have a bone to pick can you PLEASE tell us what Bayla actually is in the next book? You’ve got me on the edge of my seat with that one. Spill the tea, please!
And then… that ending? and now I have to sit here, twiddling my thumbs, until the next book drops. Ugh, the suspense is real.
@maezos has done it again!! The Blairvillle Legacies: A University of Betrayal was an amazing read. Emily and Miles are two of the main characters in the second installment of this dark academia fantasy romance series. Something I love is the multiple POVs, it really lets you explore all the characters and it allows the reader to dive deep into the world of Blairville. As we continue our time at Vanderwood University we start to unravel some of the secrets of the three most influential families. Throughout the book, friendships are tested, boundaries are passed, and unsuspected love interests are formed. When a diary is found from a missing girl from the past, the student team up together to figure out what happened to her, we are still searching for answers, and I cannot wait to find out what happened! If you love a slow burn…you will love this book. I also loved that each of the characters are growing is so many ways, and the bond they are forming is going to be unstoppable ❤️
They can do anything they want except interpret each other’s emotions.
At first, the story felt slow, mainly because there are too many characters. It honestly made me think about stopping, but then Chapter 20 happened and it completely motivated me to finish the book. Best decision ever!!!!! The author deserves brownies from me for making me read about werewolves, which are usually not my taste.
First of all, the book cover is so beautiful. Secondly, the way Blairville town is written is incredibly alluring. And the main characters, please, let me pay for their therapy sessions. Or maybe it’s still too early for that.
The hold those past diary entries had on me… I don’t even know how to explain it. I need more of them. I think I’ve figured out who Mady’s lover is going to be. Julie and JULIE, my girl!!!!!! Love, love, love everything about her. I can’t wait to read more about her. And Larissa is an absolute badass; I just couldn’t get enough of her.
Finished this already and i absolutely love it It has everything and I mean it EVERYTHING you can look for in a book Extreme hot characters? Check✅ Campus drama? Check ✅ Crazy enemy family elders? Check✅ Jaw dropping moments?check✅ Enemies turned lovers, forbidden romance, hidden secrets? Check, check and check ✅
All of the characters and plot is very well written. Since it’s a step ahead the introductory phase it’s really interesting to jump in the minds of the characters as the story proceeds I love how the characters have started to tolerate each other and question the things around them. Their character development is going well so far The plot is going at a great pace, not too slow, not too rushed and all of the twists were really interesting It just keeps you coming for more and more
This book is easily one of the best series I have ever read. The last couple of chapters, specifically, had me on the edge of my seat🤩 the chaos of it all, the introduction of the new key plays, all of the species being together, the plot twists, the political intrigue between the town and species, the found family trope, enemies to lovers trope, the heartbreak at the end…. WOW! It was a phenomenal read😭
Maezos also included a playlist in the book to follow along. It fit perfectly and just made me feel like I was physically in the scene with the characters. It really helped bring the story to life. The book does have multiple POVS which gives the characters so much more dimension and complexity compared to other books. I truly loved every bit of it. I couldn’t recommend it enough!
Just like book 1, book 2 has a strong intact plot. Although I did wish or had expected book 2 to be shorter in length than the debute novel.
Again, It a slow paced, plot enjoyable book. If you love to stay into a book, get into its world and understand everything, sort of action happening, take your time with the story, you will love the novel.
Its details, multiple povs and with lots of conversational debates happening between characters.
So much is happening in it, it's written and presented smartly and definitely leaves you with cliff hanger for book 3 , cause you would definitely want to know who is 'him' in future books.
I loved this book. It was very interesting. I am in a love-hate relationship with the way the author keeps leaving me on cliffhangers 😭.
Like the story of the one character will develop, and just as we reach a suspension part, the author changes the character, and I am left on a cliffhanger for 1 or 2 chapters before we continue again.
I love that it is full of suspense, but at the same time, I want to know what happened and what is going to happen.
This book for me was giving off Harry Potter vibes, especially of the Harry Potter and the goblet of fire and Harry Potter and the order of the phoenix.
I must admit that I enjoyed this book more than I enjoyed the first book. I can't wait for the next one.
To say this book grabbed my attention and wouldn't let it go is an understatement. I finished this thick book in a week, where I often struggle finishing a book in a month.
The book takes off where book 1 left off, with us on the edge of our seats. We quickly learn what happened with the cliffhanger of the last book, only go be thrown into the continuation of that story.
Maezos manages to take the cliches a lot of characters seemed to be at the beginning of the first book and twist it around, leading to well-rounded characters, a past mystery to be solved and sooooo much animosity. At the same time she gives us hope (and despair).
I thoroughly enjoyed the first book, it was refreshing. I was eagerly anticipating for the second book💛🧡❤💚💙💜🖤. I wanted to read the second and third book together unfortunately I was unable to wait, my curiosity got the best of me. However I was able to make sure that I would be able to savour the book to my hearts content. I read it throughout night without sleeping, it was absolutely amazing 😍😍. I did not anticipate julian's father to be killed💔💔💔💔💔I was not at all hoping that I did not even realise it would happen. My guess that mady x miles was wrong ❌. Guess what Emily x miles was so goooood💖💖💖💖 .

I absolutely love this book, i love the characters as well. Especially the world building. I hate when books are too serious and has a gloomy vibe which this series is absolutely not. On the other hand I Love when there is a huge cast of characters, and the POV of all the ppl involved. Admittedly I haven't read much books, but I have dnfed more books than read them. The five star is bcs this has ALL the tropes I love, vampires and witches, forbidden love, enemies to lovers, mystery, found family, some actions. My only regret is the story seems to have alot more books coming and waiting always makes me lose interest in a book. Although I'll still wait for the books!
This book…wow!!!Honestly I was so excited at the beginning to be back in Blairville and I was already so thankful to read it before the official release and I thought I could take my time with reading because I have to wait for the next book and everything.I was so wrong.I couldn’t stop reading really, every time I wasn’t reading I was thinking about this book and these characters. The first book of this series was really good, but this it was pure perfection and by the way the playlist too. I enjoyed it so much I couldn’t read another book for a few days because I was just rereading certain chapters. Let me tell you these cliffhangers are brutal though but we finally got so much story development and There’s much more dialogue between all the main characters and I highlighted so many quotes from them and maybe there is a character that has finally his moment 👀. Anyway this book was amazing and I can’t wait for the next one, hopefully we won’t have to wait for long!!🤞
First of all i want to thank the author for sending me an arc of her new blairville legacies book. I am already obsessed with this series and it’s only the second book. The world building in this part was even better and i totally fell in love with the gloomy blairville. And i also must admit i normally dont like too many POVs in one book but somehow this did not get confusing at all. But now to the characters. The slow burn between all the main couples is killing me (in a good way). I think i’ve never read such a slow burn before. I loved seeing julie grow and become more aware throughout the book, but also i just need her to find out who Eric is… I must admit however the whole relationship between bayla and her mother annoyed me in this book, her refusal to answer questions is driving me crazy, i hope we get some more answeres in book 3 🫣. Obviously not only about her and her mother, i am also excited to see how Alice story will evolve and what else they will find out about their ancestors.
