So much action in this story, I absolutely loved it. Pushing a cowboy, will he break? You will need to read to find out. I will be enjoying this story many times.

SHE’S MINE TO PROTECT
I enjoyed the second story in the Silver Spur Security Series. The story begins in Milan, Italy, but will mostly take place in Texas and will involve the Silver Spur Security Agency and scenes at the Iron Spur, a private members-only club that includes a BDSM dungeon. The second story’s two main characters will be Keely Malone, baby sister to Reed Malone, and Jesse Bryant, former Navy SEAL and employed at Silver Spur Security Agency.
Keely Malone has been in Milan, Italy finishing up a job before returning home to Texas. She can feel that eyes are on her, and has fun trying to evade Jesse Bryant when she realizes who it is—thank you, Reed! Jesse was always so serious, regarding her as a problem to solve rather than a woman to admire.
Jesse Bryant spent years in dangerous environments, using his combat skills and one woman isn’t going to evade his duty to escort her back to the States. Dealing with her attitude on the plane doesn’t help. He won’t admit it to her, but sitting in first class is more comfortable, and he can keep an eye on her better.
Jesse: You think you’ve got me all figured out, don’t you?
Keely: I think you’d like to pretend you’re completely unaffected by me. I’ve seen you watching me when you don’t think Reed or I will notice—dark, hungry, yummy.

The story has the good, the bad, and the evil. It all begins when Jesse takes Keely home, she invites him in for dinner a friend left for her to heat up and when opening up the suitcase, she discovers it isn’t hers—even though it looks exactly the same. Finding a bag full of uncut diamonds has Jesse on alert and he refuses to leave her for the night. The story takes on life and death danger as the owner of the suitcase has come calling, and he wants his property, and no witnesses. Jesse will not only feel compelled to protect Keely, but he is willing to go toe to toe against Reed to do so.
The book grabbed me from the beginning to the end. I liked the characters, their interactions, and the drama that unfolds. It is full of drama, angst, attitudes, and passion. Keely pushes until eventually Jesse pushes back. He warns her she won’t like his style, his demands—but that his way to try and not let things go too far—but they do—and once they do, there is no turning back. The chemistry oozes off the pages and these two explore the sizzling connection they cannot keep denying. Jesse knows now that he has had Keely, there is no turning back. Keeping her safe is his top priority, and with Silver Spurs, taking down the enemy that is trying to destroy them.

The title of this book is almost ironic—because wrangling is exactly what Jesse Bryant ends up doing, whether he likes it or not. First, there’s Keely: a firecracker who lives to press every single one of his buttons just to see how far she can push before he snaps. Then there are Jesse’s own tangled feelings for the gorgeous, maddeningly off-limits woman, who just happens to be his boss’s little sister. But Keely is no shy virgin. She’s bold, brash, and confident—whether playing at the Iron Spur or not. She knows exactly what she wants, and right now, it’s Jesse. Assigned to keep an eye on her while she’s in Milan, Jesse is counting down the minutes until the job is over. But a simple luggage mix-up at the airport sets off a chain of events that quickly turns life-threatening. When Keely’s home is broken into and it becomes clear that someone is targeting her, Jesse refuses to leave her side. Protective instincts kick into overdrive, and soon, the two find themselves in enforced close quarters, with more than just bullets flying. This book by Ms.James was an exciting addition to the Silver Spurs Series. It's a book that's hard to put down due to the excellent writing and the characters' flaws, which make them seem real and believable. What I liked most was the searing connection between Keely and Jesse. Talk about 🔥. Keely loved to push Jesse’s buttons and did so frequently. The fact that she was the boss's sister and off-limits caused only minor trouble. Nothing or no one would stop Jesse from claiming and protecting Keely.
Diamonds are supposed to be a girl's best friend, but this was not true with Keely. A mix-up with a suitcase was the start of trouble with a capital T. Keely now had a target on her back. Keely loved challenging Jesse. She was no shrinking violet. Keely was intense, defiant, sarcastic, and sassy, but I loved her strength. Jessie was tasked with protecting Keely, but she did not make things easy for him. Jessie had buried his feelings for Keely for years, but now they had erupted like a volcano. She was now his to claim. His to protect.
This book was full of angst, danger, and emotions. It was original and well-executed. There was a cast of characters, good and evil. There was an abundance of Alpha, dominant men to drool over. There was a BDSM theme that ran through the storyline. The sex and chemistry scenes between Keely and Jesse sizzled. It's a fantastic read, but I wanted much more from this couple.

If relationship dynamics takes priority over suspenseful narrative, this is a book you will probably enjoy.
Jesse and Keely's contentious back and forth was predominant in this book. Keely took the role of being a major brat. Jesse's patience was challenged as he tried to navigate Keely's abrasive nature. I was not really feeling them as a couple. I felt like they had no chemistry. Even as the relationship evolved, it didn't feel genuine to me. The enemies to lovers trope is not my cup of tea, no matter how well written.
I thought the back story about the predicament Keely found herself in was more interesting. I wondered if Keely ended up in her particular situation because she made a genuine mistake, because she was being flighty, or if it was someone else's plan that went awry. I also had questions on how easily the tracking occurred. I would have appreciated more detail about the event Keely found herself in that put Jesse into an extended protection detail.
This was a fast paced, quick read. I did find the action parts to be enjoyable. Rating: 3.5 stars

Keely Malone leaves Milan after completing a job with bodyguard Jesse Bryant in tow. After returning home she will realize that she picked up the wrong suitcase by mistake. No big deal, right? Wrong! A very dangerous criminal wants the suitcase, and the uncut diamonds smuggled in it back, and he will kill to get what he considers his. She may be his boss's younger sister, and definitely off limits, but Jesse will do anything to protect the woman he loves from anyone intent on doing her harm. Unfortunately, being forced into close proximity will make it impossible for Jesse to keep himself from claiming Keely as his own.
Suspenseful, steamy, and action-packed enemies to lovers romance with surprising twists in the plot, BDSM, and a happily ever after that I highly recommend to other readers. I found these characters, as always, well written, compelling, realistic, and they kept me engaged in their story from the first page to the last.

Wonderful follow-up to the series starter The Trail Boss. Here Jesse drew the short straw (literally) when it came to "babysitting" Keeley on an overseas trip. Since she's Reed's kid sister, it's hands off, regardless of the work detail. None of that matters to Keeley though, and she loves pushing buttons and breaking boundaries... especially Jesse's. The chemistry between them is tangible, but almost pales in comparison to their sizzling banter - almost. When she arrives home with the wrong suitcase, and a bunch of Blood Diamonds, EVERYTHING changes. Well, not Keeley's propensity to push Jesse's buttons both professionally and personally. See, these two have been dancing around eachother for years. Something's gotta give according to Keeley. With Alvarez on their tail, just who will have to give up what?

Steamy story with a scintillating plot
If you like watching mischievous, bratty, strong-willed females antagonize the man who wants to tame her, you will want to read this book. Relatively short but full of thrills and chills.
Keely Malone is off-limits because she is the little sister of Jesse’s good friend and business partner, but she keeps sending signals that she would like more with Jesse. They both enjoy the fun activities to be had at the Iron Spur, San Antonio’s elite lifestyle club; read that BDSM club which the five former SEALs who own and operate the Silver Spur Security firm also own and operate the Iron Spur. Talk about multi-faceted men?! A matter of wrong luggage gets Keely in very bad trouble. Jesse draws the short straw to protect her. Can being in close proximity to his love interest be a good thing or bad thing for Jesse? Watch out for lots of passion and fireworks. There may be a shoot out or two as well. I volunteered to review an ARC of this book through BookSirens. It was thoroughly enjoyable.

"The Wrangler" is an okay read for fans of western romantic suspense. The setup is engaging—Keely, a talented set designer, inadvertently gets caught up in a dangerous situation, forcing Jesse, a brooding security operative, to protect her. Their chemistry is strong, and the classic "enemies to lovers" dynamic adds some fun tension.
The suspense elements, while predictable, keep the plot moving. However, the story follows a well-worn formula, and the characters, though likable, don’t break much new ground. Jesse is the typical alpha protector, and Keely is feisty but sometimes frustrating. The romance is steamy, but the development feels a bit rushed at times.
Overall, if you enjoy protective heroes, strong heroines, and a mix of danger and passion, this is a decent read. Just don’t expect many surprises.

Some parts of this story make no sense if you think about them too hard, o you may need to suspend reality if you don't want your head to hurt. Keely is Reed's sister and he is the head of Silver Spur Security and Jesse's boss. Of course, all of these guys are friends and fellow warriors. When Keely somehow picks up the wrong suitcase at the airport, she gets a bit surprise when she opens it. Diamonds. Now, someone wants them back and he always seems to be a step ahead.
On the romance front: Keely always has one of the guys following her around as a bodyguard. She takes great pleasure in trying to lose them and is generally a brat. She is practically fond of messing with Jesse, though he has learned her tricks and she usually fails to lose him. Still, she gets under his skin and does her best to make him lose control. Of course, that's exactly what she wants him to do.

This is the second book in the Cowboys of Silver Spur Security and it is action packed from first page to the last. It involves diamond smuggling, stalker, attempted kidnapping and one of best best friend's little sister tropes I've read in awhile. For me this author has interwoven the suspense, mystery and protection end of the book perfectly with the hot chemistry of the main characters. For me this story is all about the characters which enticed me from the beginning. Both Jesse and Keely have denied the chemistry between them for so long because of Jees's best friend and her big brother. When people start trying to kill Keely all of the brakes come off. For two independent intelligent people they fall hard and fast and realize all their fights were just denying what both of them want. This author had a good time writing her sassiness and his stoic demeanor. I really enjoyed this book because i connected with the couple so strongly.

This is the second book of the "Cowboys of Silver Spur Security". My favorite part of this story is actually throughout the book. When Keely gives Jesse such a hard time. She has an adorable personality and more than capable of taking care of herself. Poor Jesse doesn't know what hit him. He didn't stand a chance against Keely, although bless his heart he did try, lol. They were a lot of fun to read about. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. The only reason I didn't give this book a five star was because I wish the book had been longer. After reading this book I was still left with questions I would have liked answered. How did Nico keep finding Keely and Jesse? How certain events happened without consequences or explanations. I did love the story line, and I do highly recommend this book. I can't wait to read the next story in this series.

Even if she stirs something in him and she definatly wants him. So what does she do .. she pokes the bear. Finally back in Texas and his patience is so thin a breeze would break through. The way he picturered her submitting wasnt helping his mood any. He escorted her all the way to her home. But in his sweep something about her suitcase felt off. It wasnt hers and she, they are in a world of trouble laced with action and chaos.
Their thoughts are so hot that it would melt the artic icebergs. Their banter is so hot its like flowing lava.
What an exciting read. Wonderful charecters. Great series.

I loved the dynamics between Keely and Jesse. Both denying that the chemistry between them is out of this world. The first couple of chapters sets the stage for the back and forth they go through. I loved how Keely pushes Jesse and then sits back and waits to see what he will do. With a smile on her face face.
POV of each. Edge of your seat suspense throughout the story. Steam to the eventual romance. And of course the perfect HEA for them. I loved the "big brother" threats Reed gives Jesse. I'm sure if he did hurt Keely he would follow through with them. But taking a bullet for her not once but twice should have convinced him that he would protect Keely .
This is an exciting series to read. Who will be next to find romance?

This one is Keely and Jesse's book. The drawbacks first - very little of Roxy or even a mention so there's a lack of interaction. There's a lack of clear explanation of the crime ring. The good, Keely and Jeese definitely set fire. The tension between the two came through. Jeese was secretly happy he drew the short straw. Jesse stood up to her brother while the reader wondered if punches would be thrown. While Jesse was definitely an alpha, Keely had no fear and wasn't the meek little sub. She knows her own mind and loves to irritate.
This book was slightly lower in rating because the lack of fleshing out of the crime ring and the why they picked Keely and a bit of a rush to the end of it. Still a solid second book in the series. Keely Malone travelled for her set designer job to Milan Italy, and while on street could feel eyes watching her… knowing was the man sent by her brother Reed, Silver Spurs Security man Jesse Bryant. He was former SEAL like her brother and try as she might, could never lose Jesse… not for lack of trying though… and after long flight back to US, checked her bag for Reed's gift, only to find wasn't her bag… same kind and identical to hers, only this had uncut conflict diamonds which were placed in her safe… Jesse immediately knew the threat when man broke into Keely's house and held knife on Keely, but intruder got away… only now had ID for man who was known cartel bigwig with Keely in his sights… but no spoilers here, you will need to read this roller-coaster thriller to see what happens… I voluntarily read this book through an Advanced Reader Copy.

A simply wonderful read that you will be totally blown away by, great characters and plot
This is a simply wonderful read and I know that other readers will be as blown away as I have been, this book was around the characters Keely and Jesse who have been moving around each other for ages and as the years slip by the chance of actually getting together has arrived.
This is not going to be an easy ride and I will not give away the plot but things that are worth while are so often not easy but so worth it and this is a simply wonderful love story filled with action and intrigue.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the wonderful writing.

As danger escalates and the Silver Spur Security Agency moves to a climax with the crime lord, Jesse and Keeley figure out their mutual attraction. This was a great story. It was a steamy page turner and the suspense was intense. I was on the edge of my seat and I couldn't even put it down. It was addicted and mind blowing of an mysterious romance. Keely Malone and Jesse Bryant were physical attracted to one another in this beautiful city of Milan. But her life was in danger but she knew that she will be safe with Jesse. Was love in the air for them in this moment. They couldn't fight the temptation any longer it was fate and passion. One night with him will change her life forever. I highly recommend this book and you won't be disappointed.

This is the 2nd book in the Silver Spur Security Series by Delta James and this is Keely Malone, (baby sister to Reed Malone/owner of Silver Spur Security) and Jesse Bryant (former Navy SEAL/employee of Silver Spur Security Agency) story. The story begins in Milan, Italy, when she arrives back in Texas airport, Jesse takes Keely home, she invites him in for dinner, upon opening up the suitcase, she discovers it isn’t hers—even though it looks exactly the same. Finding a bag full of uncut diamonds puts the cat amongst the pigeons so to speak and has Jesse on alert! the story takes off from there, so sit back and enjoy the adventure!

Keely Malone is a designerand had a runway show coming up in Milan Italy, then when finished and was headed back to Texas USA, when her Brother found out he had organised a bodyguard they were on a flight heading back to Texas when she had Jessie her bodyguard was in acconomy so Keely organised for him to come to first class. Jessie is a Dom and part owner of a BDSM club called Iron Spur's, Jessie is trying to keep his hands off Keely then something happened between them then they couldn't stop, it became hot and steamy to an explosion of kinky romance to love.

Jesse was certainly a wrangler from the perspective of herding a stubborn, contrary female. Keely was EXCEPTIONALLY bratty, but she and Jesse had been inevitable from the moment they met. Keely pushed and pushed, trying to elicit a reaction from Jesse. Jesse used all his experience and control to resist her, since her brother was one of his best friends. But when the chips are down, Jesse proves he will always put himself between Keely and danger. I thought Keely was too cavalier about her safety but I enjoyed the story. A one day gulp! Good read!

James delivers again and again and does not disappoint in this book 2 of her series Cowboys of Silver Spur Security series. A wonderful new addition to the series that can be read as a standalone, but I love as part of the series. This book focus' on main characters Jesse Bryant, a former Navy SEAL turned security specialist and set designer Keely Malone. An exciting and steamy romance this is sure to have you gasping for more than just one reason! Well written and addictive this book and series is not to be missed, and I can't wait to read more!

Another quick entertaining read from Delta James
Keely is good at her job, feisty and goes out of her way, by being bratty, to get a response out of Jesse. The thing is, there are people in the real world who behave like that. Then we also have, predictably, Jesse the Alpha.
The storyline follows that of many detective TV series, wrong luggage then discovering contraband tucked in it. Delta James' strength is providing entertainment, doesn't require any deep thinking and this is exactly what she has delivered.
Leave aside all of that, this is an entertaining easy short read.

A Western Romantic Suspense!! (3.5 stars rounded up)
All the right pieces are within. An adversarial relationship masking attraction. A dangerous setup that escalates. The Silver Spur Security guys and blood diamonds. I found I did not care for the female lead Keely. She is to appear bratty, but when her life is on the line, it veers off into unbelievable.
I’m a fan of Ms. James’ work, but this one did not quite hit the mark for me.
