the third gala was intense AF

Some parts of this are genuinely interesting. The stakes are there for the X-Men for sure! But, we spend too much time with nothing burger characters. The pacing is meh, the chronology is also pretty bloated. Nothing to see here.

as always X-men books are overstuffed with characters and drama that I can barely keep track of but I'm forever enamored by the story and stakes.

I'll write more later. But this is a beautiful book with amazing art. The stories don't fully connect because 1) I'm still catching up on the Krakoan era and 2) that's how comics work lol. So yeah I have some questions on what happened to some characters
But, this book gets the best parts of the Hellfire Gala and why I love the X-Men
