This story contains dark, gory, and disturbing themes, but an HEA and epilogue.
Picked for the cover. This had WTF moments like with the horse and Jacob, other than that murder demon chef competition with cannibalism. Camael was pretty go with the flow when it came to Alistair, focused on winning before his time ends and leaving a trail of sabotage in his wake. The thing with Zain was messy. Lack of communication and messy breakup to clingy guardian. I'm not surprised how things went. I was surprised by the cheating vibes, especially knowing what Alistair was capable. That felt like sabotage too. I paused at 63%. After that Camael got a little wishy washy. It was...interesting but yeah WTF.
