I was so excited for this book and was sadly disappointed. The writing, however, was good. the story itself, not so much. I was also irritated by the word nicca being used. At first, I thought it was Fendi's way of describing her dude, but every character used it. Also, Wish referring to himself as a thot had me like 😒
The characters all have way too much going on - Fendi is an ex-hooker, ex-stripper, ex-hacker, new mother, and now a student studying hacking? Wish is ex-cartel turned law enforcement officer and respected college professor? In addition to too many back stories, the characters are on the annoying side. It was way too much happening with each character, which made it too unrealistic for me. Most of the time, I was asking "why are you even in this situation?"

I couldn’t get into this book. And if I read the word “nicca” one more time. Just omit it in general. It was over used. I feel like I missed a whole book before this ne. I don’t care to read part 2

Must Read
Having a mother like Loa I see why Fendi ended up with a trifling ass n***a like Trick and Fila ended up with Shrek. Loa had Fendi tricking and selling her body at the age of fourteen. However Fila head was in the books until Loa tried to force Fila into selling herself. Which ended up with Fila protecting herself and being charged with murder at the age of sixteen and sentenced to twenty years in prison but she did thirteen before she was released to a halfway house . Even that was a struggle for Fila because she had to stop herself for beating Tindra jealous and ugly ass. Wish knew damn well he shouldn't have even considered marrying Irequa. There was entirely too many red flags. From her missing their counseling sessions, to the Pastor and his brother's warnings, her being rude asf to the wedding planner and the woman who was supposed to make their wedding cake, her reckless mouth, etc. There was so many red flags that he turned a blind eye to. Hell the hoe was cheating but he had to learn the hard way once Irequa stood him up on their wedding day. Plus his attraction to Fendi didn't go unnoticed either. I don't see why the hell Fendi was holding on to a relationship with Trick. He was disrespectful as hell and did the bare minimum for her and their daughter. It seems Trick was jealous of the child. I most definitely didn't like the fact how disrespectful he spoke about her sister Fila. Fila was finally released from prison after thirteen year's. Living with Fendi and Trick was becoming too much. She knew Fendi had her back regardless. Fila just didn't like Trick. I wished she would've listened to her gut about Shrek though. I hate how she ended up with the trifling, controlling, and manipulate bastard Shrek. Fila was a sweetheart trying to get her life back together but a man like Shrek will bring her down if she doesn't get away from him. Wick was more of her speed but Wick had his own drama going on. Trying to get funding for his Cancer treatment he invented. Wick dealing with Bionka could threaten his hard work because she's trying to blackmail him into marrying her. He agreed since she is the one who's in charge of pushing his project through. Wick is however smitten with Fendi. He knows her story and he can relate. The both of them would make a great couple if they get the two scandalous people out of their lives but I don't believe it will be that easy. Fendi is finally fed up with Trick. I have a feeling the chick Fendi see in the video with Trick. Is Irequa. After a night with Wick and learning Trick was cheating. Fendi finally realized she had to do better for her daughter but thing's get chaotic when she tried to leave Trick. Fendi car was stolen with her daughter in it and someone have seem to kidnap her.

It took a minute to draw me in but I feel like it was worth it.
I’ll start with Fendi since the story started with her. I truly wish people would learn to stop trying to force things that genuinely don’t work just to try and have a two parent household or because of a kid or kids. She should’ve left Trick from the first chapter but allowed herself to become dependent on him. Her mom is to blame as well because of her upbringing she didn’t think she deserved better and could do more with her life. I hope this is happening because of that guy Wish & Wick work for and that they both are safe.
Fila… can’t catch a break. Shrek definitely love bombed her and took advantage because she didn’t know any better. She had no other experiences or men to compare that situation to so she accepted a lot she shouldn’t have.
I’d love a POV from the cousin to learn her backstory.
Onto Wish & Wick… for them to have been in the streets and considering Wish’s occupation I feel like they were lowkey a bit slow. They should’ve never gotten out the car at that drop especially unarmed. That was a rookie move. I guess it goes to show not every “thug” has pull like that.
Wish, literally ignored ALL the signs with his ex because he was so focused on wanting to be married. Watch her come back in the next book or something.
That was beyond sweet what he did tho. Hopefully that situation works out.
Wick… got himself in that situation by trying to use ole girl so I lowkey don’t feel bad for him. I can’t wait to see how he gets himself out of this situation.

Why does the Syndicate want them back working so badly. I can't believe Wick let Bionka rope him into that proposal. Babygirl would have came up missing. I like the idea of Wick and Fila together. She deserves so much. Can't wait to see how this plays out.💜💜

These sisters have the worse men ever between Trick and Shrek I don’t know who is worse. However; the first person that is the worst in their lives is their own mom how can you teach your own kids to sell their body for your addictions? Just sad and heartbreaking 💔. Then Wick and Wish were something too between one having commitment issues and the other being stood up at the Altar. Lawd it was so much drama every page and every second. I’m here for it all. I hope Fendi and her baby are good. Can’t wait to read the second book. 🔥🔥🔥

Wow so Fendi’s gets car jacked with the baby inside, then she gets Kidnapped is this Trick or the Syndicate’s doing?? Hopefully Wish gets her message and comes to her and the baby’s rescue…I can’t wait to see what happens with Fendi, Wish, Wick, and Fila!!!!
