The Lone Wolf's Salvation…

When Daisy-Blu Saint-Pierre starts investigating the mysterious ghost wolf that's been menacing hunters in Tangle Lake, she encounters a juicier sort of discovery in sexy lone wolf Beck. Beck, with his rugged, raw energy and virility to burn…

A tragic accident has left Beckett Severo hungry for revenge. Now faery magick has turned him from a werewolf into something more powerful. The lovely Daisy is a great distraction. Time spent in her arms almost makes Beck forget the danger they're in. Almost.

Daisy and Beck must risk losing who they are to become what they are meant to be…together.

This was sexy with a supernatural edge. I liked the setting and writing style.
The story revolves around Daisy a fairy Wolf with pink hair and Beck a lone Wolf who is seeking revenge for the murder of his father.
The spicy scenes are well written without being too smutty and their love story is heartwarming and satisfying to witness.

It was interesting and sad to read about Severo. I was surprised Malakai had so many children and look forward to reading about his sister's wedding in Paris.

Daisy Blue - half fairy half werewolf... she's most comfortable with were side (father the pack alpha) and the two sides compete... Beck, raised by a lone wolf who was killed by silver... and Beck contracted with a fairy to become a ghost looking, big wolf - to scare hunters and track the murderer... the murderer is a time traveler whose wife is in alter universe purgatory, and has a spell that needs a dead wolf to enact...

overcoming protective brothers, controlling father, supportive mother... and revealing their dual natures to each other, they fall in love and then in like (her requirement)...

she gives up her wolf (she needed to choose one or the other) to save him from murderer, he gives up his wolf so fairy couldn't force him to murder the murderer.... the murderer gives her wolf spirit back, to he can shift again... and murderer going after a feral wolf to complete his spell...

and they live happily ever after..

Merged review:

Daisy and Beck...

Daisy, oldest with 4 brothers (each a different combo of were, faery, vampire), father alpha, mother faery (grandparent vampire)... she has always held her own with her siblings... she is part were and part faery - and when she shifts to faery, her wolf side strikes out (tail or ear pops out)... she lives on her own, trying to break from dad...

Beck, only son of vampire (recently turned) and were; his were-father is a lone wolf - who has garnered respect of other weres; 6 months earlier, dad killed by silver bullet (special silver, shot that had liquid silver in small glass tubes)... in his grief, Beck makes a deal with a faery, for a boon to be given later, to be given a ghosty scary shape, to scare hunters and find his father's murderer; His ghost wolf is getting harder to control;

They meet, they are attracted... he works past her clumsy flirting... he talks her into a date in trade for car related chains (that she uses in welding sculptures)... and when dad catches them kissing, he forbids them from seeing each other as he is a lone wolf...

She is a budding reporter, trying to submit a winning amateur piece to win a paying job... and catches him in Ghost Wolf shift (first as wolf, and the wolf sniffs her and runs away)... and then as he is shifting back... bit by bit their trust and love grows... Daisy is told that she must chose between wolf and fairy...

the murderer is a time traveler from the past (who went into the future for the silver bullets)... his wife is trapped in no man's land, and he has a spell to bring her back, but it requires a dead werewolf...

they detect until they figure it out... brothers and Daisy and Beck confront him... see his wife in her alter universe trap... To protect Beck and family, she agrees to give the traveler her wolf (she has to give something up anyway)... and he captures it in a jar... But then Beck loses his wolf side (the fairy demands payment)... a few days later, happy, free Daisy and slowly adjusting Beck answer door, and the traveler is there with her wolf spirit, offering it to them... so Beck gets a wolf back... and they send him after a feral wolf so he can complete his spell...

The Saint-Pierres series involves all types of supernatural beings, and the main supposedly mythical creatures in GHOST WOLF are definitely some of my favorite. Werewolves have always fascinated me with their lusty natures plus deep bonds with their mates, and those created by Michele Hauf are genuinely depicted with convincing behavior. I laughed and even wanted to cry at times, as the author calls forth such strong emotions because of her skillful writing. The inventiveness in GHOST WOLF captures the imagination from start to finish.

Right after his werewolf father was killed by a hunter, Beckett Severo could only think about getting justice. To ensure his goal is successful, the younger werewolf seeks assistance from a faery. Though he is now a much more frightening creature, turning into what others call the ghost wolf is damaging his body and causes him to worry. When Daisy-Blu Saint-Pierre wants to write an article about what is really scaring the local hunters in the Tangle Lake area, facts she never expected are ultimately uncovered.

A chance meeting between Beck and Daisy had made each of them curious about the other. Both have werewolf capabilities, but he has never belonged to a pack like her. Although they have fun when they get together, neither feels the time is right for committing to a more lasting relationship. Yet when secrets and peril bring them closer, the two will have to decide what is most important in their lives.

Emotional situations along with incidents where humor is evident can be found throughout this engaging story. I quickly became fully invested in what would happen to many characters in the book, especially after their charming personalities are revealed. Michele Hauf is known for creating quirky individuals, and I certainly came to love the extraordinary beings that are in GHOST WOLF. The playfulness of Beck and Daisy caused some chuckles yet they also made me want to hold them and give a big hug when things seems dire. These two are very enthusiastic when it comes to sexual encounters, as they wholeheartedly convey their desire every time. Several rather momentous events take place, where futures often hang in the balance until all is decided. There are a large number of interesting characters whose future stories could be told, and I am hopeful each one gets the chance. The delightful entertainment in GHOST WOLF never lets up.

After reading Moonlight and Diamonds a few weeks ago, I decided to start reading about the Saint-Pierre's from the beginning - starting with Creed and Blu's story in Her Vampire Husband. I've enjoyed every one of these stories. This is one of my favorites though. Daisy Blu is easily my favorite heroine, and Beck is pretty darn great (though Creed remains my favorite of the men, I've got a thing for sexy French vampires).

I loved this couple, and very much enjoyed reading about how their attraction for each other developed, their desire to take things slow and grow to truly "like" each other before getting too serious.

For a moment there, I didn't like Daisy's brother or father all that much (which was worrisome because I adored Styke in Moonlight and Diamonds), but they grew on me. Werewolves are not my favorite of the paranormal creatures, I tend to dislike them for the same reason I don't like cowboys very much, too country and outdoorsy and rough. And Daisy's family has those qualities in full force. But I liked that Daisy held her own with them, not backing down and asserting her independence. I especially liked that Beck was willing to challenge them, reminding them that Daisy was her own person and could make her own decisions.

Beck's story broke my heart as he struggled to deal with the loss in his own life. He's really a great character. (I've been reading so many novellas lately that I hadn't realized how much I missed the full character development found in full sized novels.) Beck's transformation and seeing him go through the stage of grief, navigating the feelings between sadness and anger and eventually love are very powerful.

Overall, I liked everything about this book. I like all the stories in Michele Hauf's Beautiful Creatures world, but this one stands out a favorite, and I'm very much looking forward to reading more about this family.

I love this new chapter of the Beautiful World saga. There’s lots of the earlier characters involved in this, though I was surprised that we lost one. I don’t remember that happening before in any series I’ve read. At least not very often. But I guess that’s reality.

The second generation of the Saint Pierre family is going to make a great group of stories. Those boys are awesome. I can’t wait to read Blade’s story, but Stryke’s is next.

The wolf essence thing is different, as is the wolf. And anything chocolate turns me on, so the whole hot chocolate, brownie, etc. thing was a big draw.

Beck is odd. I like him, but found his grief rejection battle strange. I thought that the human/wolf connection allowed them to feel, understand each other better. Maybe because his is fairy enhanced? Speaking of which. The moth fairy was different, though pacified too easily.

I love Daisy’s hair and the candy connection. But given that it was implied that Daisy was a tomboy due to competing with her authoritative father and four brothers, she should have been presented a bit stronger. Though maybe that was the fairy side. I think she’ll make a good fairy. You would think, given that her mom is a fairy, that she would have both talked to her about her problem and Beck’s.

Quick Thoughts: 1)There is no way you can see a woman’s ‘nipples’ through a bulky sweater.

2)What do bald cats, mushrooms and the color chartreuse have in common? Daisy Blu.

3)Fairy wings and wolf tails. That is so cute.

Fave scenes: The hockey match, Daisy showing Beck her wings, Beck running into the brothers at the bar and Daisy caught in the trap.

Loved the story but losing Stephan Severo was hard, he was the first book that got me hooked on Ms. Hauf stories. This is about his oldest living son, Second child is not born yet and don't know if it's male or female. Beck has to take a lot off pain throughout the story but he falls quickly for the only daughter of Kia Staint-Pierre, Daisy half wolf half fae. These two will bond quickly and her father and brother's will test Beck at every step of the way, from helping him out with a certain Hunter or beating the ever loving crap out of him. Ivan Drack and his wife Dez will have appearances, and well and the over protective Kia and his wife Rissa, and Belladonna will go through her mourning and her help and understanding of who the Ghost Wolf is and how her son if connected.

I just finished this wonderfully written story. Daisy and Beckett were a great pairing and I had a soft spot for Beckett. I can remember and feel the angst of grief after having lost my father. I could relate to his anger and grief. Daisy reminded me of a friend of mine who died from multiple myeloma and leukemia a few years ago. She was a free spirit and an artist. Looking forward to the rest of Daisy's family stories.

This was a fast paced, fun read. The pink haired faery Daisy-Blu is lovely. She cooks and does large sculpture and has a passion for ice-hockey. I enjoyed her personality. And Beck is lovely. Grief, anguish and torment only improve him and when he forgives the man who killed his father, he grows from a man-boy into a man of worth.

Half wolf-half faerie Daisy-Blu Saint Pierre is caught between her two selves and she meets Beckett Severo who is mourning his father's death; he's not part of a pack and he has a secret and they find that they're really attracted to each other.

Enjoyable, occasionally I was a bit lost in the world.

it took forever for me to read it. The story took too long to start for me hence the lengthy reading time because I wasn't' t into it at all. it is surprising because I love the StPierre family.
