Definitely recommend this book for fantasy lovers. From the very beginning, I was immersed in a world that felt raw, vivid, and emotionally layered. Desnia is an unforgettable protagonist—fierce, intelligent, and flawed in the most human way.
What truly made this book shine for me, though, was how deeply connected I felt to all the characters—not just Desnia. Every relationship felt meaningful. I found myself caring deeply about the people surrounding her, their motivations, their struggles, and even their mistakes.
The action scenes were sharp and full of energy, driving the plot forward without ever losing the emotional stakes. And in between the bursts of intensity, there were these beautifully written moments of reflection that gave the story heart and depth. The world itself unfolded so naturally through the characters’ experiences—it never felt like exposition, just lived-in reality.
It’s the kind of book that stays with you after the last page, and I already can’t wait to see where these characters go next!
