Montez is a heart broken mechanic who vows to never allow anyone to get close again, however a new neighbor is slowly changing his mind.
Azalea is the new chef in town and when her guarded but very handsome neighbor saves the day, she believes that her new arrangement might not be so bad.
A cocktail and a conversation just might push them into forever.
This was an okay read for me. I think desperate women is a pet peeve to me that I really don’t like. In my opinion, the man should be the one doing the chasing and perusing and not the woman. I’m glad that things worked out for them in the end.
Hmmm…. This one started out promising, but the back and forth with Montez not knowing what he wanted just blew me. Then Azalea was so forward, almost aggressive. I get go for what you want, but ma’am??? 👀 All things worked out in the end.
At the beginning I liked the story but the more I got into it Azalea started to irk my nerves she just reeked of desperation. Although Montez gave mixed signals she still just kept throwing herself at him. I was thinking girl chill let him chase you. Then when she made the recipe it seemed more of voodoo trying to trap a man vs letting love find her. Like the books I read before this one they hoped to find love but wasn’t trying to force it. The story’s wasn’t horrible but she just reminded me of the side chicks that are desperate and don’t know when to give up. HEA or not she just wasn’t it
WHAT in the mixed messages 🤦🏾♀️⁉️…A month⁉️Oh, absolutely heck no🙂↔️‼️Not even mixed nuts nor liquid courage can’t make an indecisive man attractive or a viable consideration as a potential mate 😬🥴‼️Unfortunately, “Montez & Azalea: Recipe For Love - Book 4” wasn’t a story of a current love interest but rather the turmoil, embarrassment & unresolved issues from their (his/her) previous relationship. Neither Azalea or Montez were emotionally ready for a new relationship with each other. Sorry Miss Mattie, but this recipe didn’t work 🤷🏾♀️‼️
SWOOOOONNNN!! As soon as Montez got outta his damn head, it was on!! Also the side love stories were so cuteee!! Miz and Domo and Bianca and Dahlia!! Oh my gawdddd!! I love love! I also love that this recipe was a cocktail! I loves me a good drank!
This is my least favorite book so far. Montez gave hot and cold signals and had Azalea basically begging for attention. This story just made me want to skip it. I stayed the course but can honestly say I was glad when it was over.
2.5 ⭐ Both main characters grated my nerves. I only finished it because it was short and I didn't want to skip one of the series even though they are standalones. Montez needs therapy.
Azeala was too thirsty! No wonder Montez shied away from her. Way too aggressive!! Montez stayed too hung up over a long passed failed relationship for a man! The book was mediocre.
I'm loving this series. They are so sweet and full of happily ever afters. Ms. Mattie got it going on. The recipes should be printed up in the books.
I've been single for so long. I could use a little help. Montez and Azalea were too cute. They both had been dealt a bad hand with love. Azalea was open but Montez was not. After a little finessing and a housewarming party, Tez stopped fighting his feelings.
Jen did it Again, she wrote Another perfect book. This one made me feel all happy and it’s just in time for Valentine’s Day ! This was a quick little read but it still gave everything it was suppose to give !! Everybody got love at the end and I’m here for it!! Well Done Jen 🥰
Montez and Azalea are like the typical around the way couple. Boy meets girl, they hit off, experience a few rough patches but never let it break their bond. Sometimes, all you need is a little cocktail and conversation to break the barriers to get to love. Out of all the characters, however, Mizan (Montez brother) ended up being my favorite.
Cute story. I would have liked a more developed back story on Montez & how he moved through the hurt. It was good to get male perspective when dealing with a bad relationship.
Montez didn’t have to keep playing with Azalea’s feeling like that ! ! ! How he is going to approach her but then play hide and seek when she shows interest ? ? ?
Montez & Azalea!!! Instant attraction! Montez pulls away after hello. Azalea is confused, but the chemistry is so strong. Maybe a trip to the bakery will help!
This was cute sweet and everyone was in need of a change. The book was your typical girl next door type book. I loved how the best friend and brother hit it off right away and minded their business. Montez and Azalea both were on the fence and had their own issue. I hate that Montez was giving mixed signals but Azalea was so sure and made it know but was trying to let the myth work its magic. I’m glad everyone got the happy ending when it was said and done.
Omg this standalone is lit. Tez was pissing me off at first. I understand ur pass relationship but it was time to let all that hurt go. My girl zal was on what she wanted. But Dom and Miz hit off right off the bat. And they sister and Dom sister nice outcome. U did good on yet another book and I'm looking forward to reading more of them. Sitting here patting my feet while sipping on Pepsi and while eating popcorn while waiting on the next book to read
I was a little thrown off by the super descriptive writing style at first but when it got to the romance and them interacting I was super super appreciative i really loved this novella!! a really enjoyable read
A sweet little insta-love with a slight hesitation from the MMC. Tez and Zae share sparks and find their way together. Past hurts have them both in their head but they figure it out. Looking something short and sweet then check out their HEA
I truly enjoyed this beautiful love story. Montez and Azalea have so much in common. They both got hurt by their exes. I am happy that he opened up his heart to Azalea. Now they are married and expecting their firstborn. Great Read!
Im not a big fan of the fmc being the chaser. Her expressing herself and putting her feelings out there was great but i needed her to not seem so desperate and let him realize he wanted her as much without her going to through drastic measures.
