Crea Reitan

Crea lives in upstate New York with her dog and husband. She has been writing since grade school, when her second grade teacher had her class keep writing journals. She has a habit of creating secondary, and often time tertiary, characters that take over her stories. When she can't fall asleep at night, she thinks up new scenes for her characters to act out. This, of course, is how most of her meant-to-be-thrown-away characters tend to end up front and center - and utterly swoon-worthy! Don't ask her how many book boyfriends she has...

When not writing, Crea is an avid reader. Her TBR pile is several hundred books high (don't even look at her kindle wish list or the unread books on her tablet). Sometimes, she enjoys crafting; sometimes, exploring nature; sometimes, traveling. Mostly, she enjoys putting her characters on paper and breathing life into them. Oh, and sleeping. Crea loves to sleep!

I have so much to say about this book so I'm just going to ramble and hope that it's somewhat coherent by the end of it!

First up, I HIGHLY recommend buying Dirty Wrong Love from Crea's website for $3 and tandem reading these two books ONLY if you're good with cest and poly though. The chapters in Dirty Wrong Love are numbered according to where they fit into the Project FU book: 6.5, 10.5, 13.5, 21.5, 25.5, 32.5, 35.5, 35.75, 37 - 46. Reading both books together gives a much fuller picture of the relationship dynamics and all of the taboo content is contained within Dirty Wrong Love. That said, the main book does move towards the idea of sharing, then poly. If that's not what floats your boat you really won't be happy reading this.

Next, I am SO, SO glad that I gave this author another chance after not really vibing well with the hockey series. This book was everything I love, and now I want to go back and read all the other books that are connected to this one - I even want to give the hockey series another go so I can get Eli's backstory as well as Dak's.

The DRAMA!!!!!! This book has fucking EPIC levels of revenge on a cheating girlfriend, even though Nolan is actually too decent to use his 'revenge' to hurt the ex. He didn't just take her Dad, he took her brothers too and I. Was. Here. For. IT!!!! This is the level of drama that I live for in my entertainment and I was genuinely sad when the story ended. I couldn't put this down and I would honestly be happy to read even more about these guys.

Nolan is just so chill and accepting which isn't surprising when you find out he has five dads and that his extended family is made up of the whole rainbow. His chemistry with Tavis, Orion and Skye was so good. I'm not normally someone who looks forward to the spicy scenes in a book, but I didn't skip any of these and they all added to the story and kept it moving.

*****WARNING: CEST TALK AHEAD******

OMG the chemistry between these guys was so good! I never really pick up on things like chemistry either unless it knocks me over the head. The progression from Skye and Orion going from overly affectionate, touchy feely brothers to lovers just felt so natural. Nolan being the catalyst for their first time together was everything. I loved how they went from strength to strength, but that there were also doubts, fears and insecurities that made it feel more real, mostly on Skye's part, but I enjoyed the resolution and the decisions they made.

I do read a fair bit of cest but I always prefer when I can see the relationship progression, the emotional connection between the characters, and also the thought process behind them changing the dynamics of their relationship. If it's just pure lust and no deeper connection then I'm not interested - that goes for any kind of relationship dynamic. I loved how emotionally needy Skye was though, as well as how confident Orion was. I loved how Orion protected and guided Skye, especially when Tavis found out about his sons being together. The way the father and son relationships changed did feel less authentic than Orion and Skye's relationship, but I liked the way all four of them worked as a polycule.

I'm actually excited to go and read all these other books now!

I wasn’t sure what to expect going into Project: FU, but wow, this one hit hard in all the right ways. I read it alongside Dirty Wrong Love, the taboo version of this story, as Crea intended, and I’m really glad I did. The emotional build-up, the tension, and the intense connection between Nolan and Tavis made this such a good read. I’m usually not a fan of open endings, but when you read both books together, it just works. It gave me everything I didn’t know I needed.

The connection between Nolan and Tavis starts off as nothing more than revenge sex, but quickly turns into something deeper. And it felt natural, not rushed. Their relationship goes from lust to something possessive and emotional, and it made perfect sense as the story unfolded. There’s this quiet intensity between them that made their dynamic so compelling.

Nolan finds out his girlfriend has been cheating—badly—and while he doesn’t explode, the way he deals with it is still satisfying. He wants revenge, sure, but in the end, he doesn’t go through with it out of spite. That’s not who he is. And that third “bad decision”? That one changes everything. It wasn’t about revenge anymore. It became something real.

Tavis’ side of the story adds a lot of depth too. His marriage has been a dead thing for years, and Nolan makes him realize he deserves more. I liked how his character wasn’t perfect, but he owned his choices and finally took a risk for happiness. Nolan was a wake-up call for him, and it felt earned, not forced.

This book is also part of the bigger Creaverse. Nolan is the son of characters from the For Your Love series, and Tavis has been mentioned in the For Puck’s Sake books. You don’t need to know the backstory, but if you do, the cameos and callbacks are a treat. Especially seeing Nolan’s found family support him, and how his best friends step up for him—that made it all even better.

If you’re okay with taboo themes, I highly recommend getting Dirty Wrong Love from Crea’s website too. It overlaps with this one and then goes beyond the end, giving the full picture. It’s dirtier, spicier, and pushes boundaries more than Project: FU, but together they make the story feel complete. And honestly, they made my taboo-loving heart very happy.

I've only read a handful of this author's novels, but every time I do, I kind of regret it. The author isn't technically a bad writer, but the writing is just so damn blah. The story premise might be interesting, but the writing itself is boring and joyless. A good writer goes beyond basic descriptions of the characters' thoughts and actions. A good writer uses language in a way that encourages readers to visualize and immerse themselves in the story. In my opinion, this author seems to really struggle with descriptive writing and instead relies far too heavily on internal and external dialogue to tell her stories.

A good portion of each of her books involves her, though the internal thoughts of the main characters, basically just lecturing her readers on how they should feel about the various things that the author thinks her readers need to be lectured about. And the thing is, I agree with her views, but like, girl, your "insights" are not particularly insightful and certainly not insightful enough to justify the pages devoted to them. It's also a really clunky and ineffective way of confronting the prejudices that people may have about the issues on which the author opines. Having to read page upon page of one character's internal dialogue about other people's prejudices and why they are wrong is not nearly as effective as showing the characters encountering those prejudices in their daily lives and confronting and overcoming them. And that's another problem, sooooo much telling and not showing. Like, soooo much internal dialogue. And so much unnecessary filler that didn't advance the plot or contribute to character development and seemed to be there for the sole purpose of increasing the word count.

Anyway, I think the moral of this story is that I should probably just stay away from this author's books, even if the story sounds intriguing.

Nolan thought he was happy and everything was going pretty well in his life. Until he saw a video of his girlfriend cheating on him. Big time. He’s hurt and in pain and wants to do something to make her feel his pain too. It leads him to a series of pretty bad decisions and nothing that helps him feel better. And nothing that he actually wants to rub in his ex’s face. Because truthfully, Nolan isn’t a bad guy. He just isn’t built that way to hurt someone. Though he’ll admit that he may have messed up here and there. But with his last bad decision may actually be the best thing that happened to him. The irony? It’s falling into bed with his ex’s father. Tavis never imagined that falling for his daughter’s ex would be the thing to wake him up from the life he has been living. His marriage has not been real in a very, very long time. Just neither were ready to have the conversation to move forward despite having moved on years ago. But being with Nolan, Tavis realizes he can have a future where he is happy and it’s time to make that change. Let’s just say this book is filled with some interesting twists and turns and some side drama! Though I gotta say, I love that the drama was handled so well and actually nicely. You root for Tavis and Nolan every step of the way as they fall for one another. Another thing I loved about this book is that we got to meet some new characters! I am definitely looking forward to their books. And of course, we see lots of familiar faces from this universe who connect our main characters. I always love those cameos! Overall, I enjoyed their story and as always I am looking forward to the next one.

And for those who liked this book and could see the direction it was heading and are okay with a bit of taboo, there is a tandem read book called Dirty Wrong Love that goes with it. I decided to read that after I finished this one, so I am off to that next! Though you can read it in tandem with this book since chapters overlap and then it continues where this book ends.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This series is Crea Reitan’s best series in my opinion. So I was very much looking forward to this book. And I even bought it from her website to get it before publication date in Amazon.

I was not disappointed 😄 Especially because I bought the accompanying novella Dirty wrong love to go with it. It is definitely dirty wrong love, but it’s also highly entertaining, very, very smutty and somehow still very sweet.

In my world - as far as I’m aware - I don’t know any polyamorous people. And I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t be for me. The whole taboo thing is definitely not something I’d like to learn about in real life. However it is just so much fun to read about 🤣

So if you read Project FU, spend the additional 3 dollars on Crea’s website and get yourself the extra chapters as well. It is sooo worth it.

What I really liked about this book is that when I was at about 60% I felt like the story was complete. And I was very excited about what came after 😄
I didn’t really remember Nolan from any earlier books. Very fun to discover he is Princess V’s son. I loved his book as well. Travis I did remember because I just read The Crease again. And Kelsey I also remembered, from the previous book in this series.
What I totally love about Crea’s books as well is that the new book is almost never about the people you expect. There are so many people involved and I always hope to read the story of a certain pair. And they never pair up 🤣

Anyway, buy this book, read it! And enjoy!

And it’s going on my reread stack for at least two or three more reads.

Thank you Crea for another wonderful addition to the Creaverse!

Ohhh Nolan. He thought that everything in his life was going well. Until he goes to edit a video for his frat and sees his girlfriend of sixteen months with the football team. This devastation leads him on a mission for revenge, which results in some questionable choices being made. It also leads him right to the last person he should probably want, his ex-girlfriends dad.

I really felt for Tavis. He’s stuck it out in an unhappy marriage for a long time so his kids could keep their sense of normal. But with most of the kids grown he finally decides to choose himself and choose happiness. Nolan makes him feel things that he hadn’t felt in so long.

The chemistry and connection between these two was off the charts. I really felt like they both brought out the best in one another.

With the ending of this story you can see that it can possibly take a different turn. If you grab Dirty Wrong Love from Crea’s website you’d be correct. HEADS UP, it's taboo, so if that’s not for you DON’T. READ. IT. DWL can be read in tandem with Project FU as the chapters do overlap. Tavis decides to take Nolan, Orion, and Skye on a road trip to see if he’s right about a gut feeling that he has. But he gets more than he expected, in more ways than one. The spice in this is SPICING, is that even a word? It is now. SCORCHING HOT.

But seriously what is in these books?! Because I am addicted.

I received a copy from the author and am voluntarily sharing my honest opinion.

ARC review, 4.5 stars.

Whoa Nelly this one could have been very messy. But when you add on the accompanying novella (don't read unless you are okay with TABOO) this was a really sweet story of love and someone learning how to love again after a big heartbreak.

It's easy to judge characters but you need to put it into perspective. Nolan is in his early twenties. He's going to make mistakes. He's going to do the wrong thing. But he owned up to it and was able to come out the other side and repair the relationships he could have irreparably damaged.

I was also sad for the life Tavis lived before this story. Being in a marriage that wasn't ever loving is something that people shouldn't experience (I live in a dream world where people aren't cruel to each other, and everyone gets a happy ending) and although his life was fulfilling to an extent, seeing him learn about himself was also really wonderful.

I also love that we got more of Princess Daddy V. He's one of my favourite characters in Crea's universe and I want hime to have all the books so I can keep up with him forever.

Overall, another solid entry from Crea. I feel like this goes in all my reviews, but I love that she writes non-conventional relationships. They're always so much more interesting than your standard HEA.

***Spoilers here and there***

https://ladiikeiii.wordpress.com/2025...

I’m glad I finished this book no cap. I’m stuck between giving this book a three star ⭐️ or a four star rating. I’m not sure as of yet until I’ve posted my review.

It was interesting learn that Nolan was dating Kelsey then turn around and mess with both siblings and then the father. I can’t blame him for getting revenge because look what she did to him. Like the whole football team? Like dang girl really..

But not only that Tavis wanted Nolan and wanted to include his sons Orion and Skye. Knowing that both wanted Nolan and vise versa. I wanted to know if it’ll happen between the four. But I was kind of over this book so I don’t want to read anything more to find out…

This was so good, hands down my favorite Longwood U story yet. Best to be read with the extra novella Dirty Wrong Love which is MMMM Taboo but happens along side the main story and continues beyond the end of PFU. (Dirty Wrong Love can be purchased from her website) Nolan, Tavis, Skye, and Orion were so great together and I loved Nolan moved beyond his breakup without getting hella messy and stooping to her level. The spice is PFU was great, but really ramped up in DWL.

My only complaint here is I wish got more of the boys all being together (PFU basically ends with Nolan & Tavis with them open to more and DWL is only 100 pages.) I would have read a lot more if them navigating life in to taboo poly relationship. Like a while lot more.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

What a ride! I loved every second of it!
It's the first time that I did a tandem read with Project FU and Dirty Wrong Love. It's really a fun format.
If you're into taboo, I really recommend reading them both together (you'll find the explanation at the beginning of both books to know how).
Anyway, this series is just everything. I can't wait for the next book!!

How was it? Pretty amazing, actually, thanks for asking. I don't give four stars to just any random book that goes through my hands and this one almost got five. Yup. You know which one got 5 stars? Longwood U 2.

That's how it all actually started... (which I talked about somewhere in some review for Reitan's book so let's make long story short with: before LU2 I only read one Reitan's book and liked it in an average way. Before reading this, I read almost all Reitan books. Because of LU2. Now you've caught up.)

To be frank, I have gone to this book with low expectations - on purpose. I was so blown away by LU2 and only enjoyed LU1, so I thought, surely, this one can go either way. To my surprise, it went the way of the second book and I finished it in basically one sitting and my mouth still aches from all the smiling.

This book really highlights all the reasons I have explored so much of Reitan and maintains the things I liked in the second book (which has a long review from me):

the story feels like a natural snapshot of character's life, there is almost no trace of the mastermind behind it, like, Nolan doesn't actually bump into his relationship(s*) until like, page 50 or what, and I did not mind one bit because this universe is so vibrant and familiar and it felt very natural for the story. You get the romance and yes, smut, but the emotional and personal journey do not feel like buzzwords but an actual description of this.

Reitan also pretty restricted her usual... rants in a respectful way? I mentioned this tendency of hers before and that while I respect it, I don't always like them in the middle of my story and this one managed to keep it mostly contained to instances where it made sense and it didn't take up entire pages. There's a line between inserting your passion into your characters to make them more fleshed out and interesting and just letting them be a mouthpiece for venting - this book found that balance.

The irony of this particular book (I feel like most of them come from Reitan's tendency to ontroduce her books, her prologue is her telling you to get out if you don't like this and this and how people... gosh, I managed to skip most of it but I did catch the beginning of the argument here, focusing on "you know people IRL don't go virgins into their forever relationships, is's such a romance (genre) flaw that we like but also not because that's just silly" or something along those lines and I just really, really like that before getting together with T, he sleeps with... 😂😂😂

That's actually something I should probably address, no, not in a judgy way, I am leaning way too much in the other direction but I thought I was super, duper happy about how Reitan made this but at the end, I wasn't so sure anymore...

Potential spoilers ahead but maybe you might want to read it to see if you can like this: this book is structured a bit too much like a couple's book which made sense but then, at a certain point, it become poly in a pretty startling realization so to me, it felt like the book presented two conflicting pictures and I am sure it was on purpose - Reitan basically is not afraid of what people call taboo and instead of doing that, she cut her work up into the more generally accepted version and the more controversial version and this decision to pursue both versions reflex in the book itself - Skye and Orion were important milestones that, in Nolan's view, were different from when he finally go the main course, if you pardon the pun. Like, it felt like the book was transitioning them into side characters but then the main couple stabilized and isntead of going into epilogue, the story kinda shifted gears into "what if..." and I think that is cool, I already have the novella and I am going to read it right after I finished this but that's kinda my point. The distinction and division of the "clean" and "dirty" made the plot less... stable? Like, I understand and respect this need to provide two versions for different audiences, I just feel like this book actually tries to sit on both chairs at the same time, even if it's mostly words at the end.

I was very surprised to find myself enjoying this absolutel telenovela of plot twists. I am super easy to second-hand-embarass but some books manage to find a place where I can laugh with the characters instead of wanting to hide and skip to the end of the humiliation - the book was such a prime example. The Van Doren bit, the twins, the flashes of other side characters, including Mo... Reitan has so many characters in this universe but she actually doesn't use them for some mindless nostalgia/bait, it all feels like one living, ever-changing, ever-flowing story (one review said this is a favourite series so far and I agree and I think this is why). There's something about the combination that really works for me and I thought I will have to revisit confessions to find it again and then this came...

The things I care about as someone who read other Reitan books (and only "disliked" the short series with drama around what could have a been a nice poly family that's actually featured as parents here) - the one thing that didn't work for this is the page time - as a book for a couple, this book was amazing, but if I want to pursue the posibility of something more, than Skye and Orion suddenly feel very relegated and almost mistreated in terms of how I expect the poly relationship to stay healthy and not turn toxic. That's my objection to the solution of producing something for more conservative (in a very liberal way, considering everything =D) and something for more wild readers.

But I am just too happy with the book to complain about it too seriously, I am just so happy this book really sucked me in and delivered the experience I dared not hope for.

Also, now I am going to have big expectations for the next one. I can already see some hints and I was only able to reign my hoped here because of LU1 so... no pressure!

This is an age-gap, ex-girlfriend’s dad romance with a couple of cheeky little extras thrown in, so you’re definitely a bit spoilt in this book if you enjoy those forbidden tropes.

Nolan and Tavis’s relationship is a bit of a whirlwind, evolving quickly, but I liked them as a couple, and I was glad that they both found their person in each other. Tavis had always put his kids first, so it felt like he deserved to finally find some true happiness. And after Nolan’s heartbreak, I so wanted him to find the right person to help him heal.

“Right now, when I’m so deep inside you, there’s a loud part of me that insists I’ve been waiting for you. This doesn’t just feel good, Nolan. I’ve found my home.” Tavis

I did adore Nolan's character and really liked seeing how he grew over the course of the book. He's a good person who did initially make some mistakes after feeling betrayed by his ex-gf, but he learnt from them and, albeit a bit late, he handled the situations maturely when he spoke to the relevant parties. I can see why he's had such a strong effect on so many people: he’s kind, passionate and gregarious, and he treats everyone equally.

I really enjoyed Nolan’s involvement in his frat brothers’ business ideas to see a different side of him, and it made me love him even more to see how non-judgemental he is towards Alek. Their interactions added some very amusing humour to the story, and I was laughing out loud during chapter 14 while the pair were working on a prototype for the latter’s idea. Poor Nolan – I could totally imagine how badly he’d blushed, but I did find this scene hilarious!

I’ve decided I want to adopt Tavis’s family (not including she who will not be named!); I just love how supportive they are of each other. I had an immediate massive soft spot for Skye: sensitive, quiet, and gentle hearted, he was just adorable. And Hannah – wow, she’s a little spitfire. I adored how sassy and honest she was with such a big heart. I’d happily have her in my corner! And I have to mention Nolan’s supportive family too (Daddy Wren’s advice has joined my fave quotes!).

It was so good to see Edin, Elijah and Mo again from Wicked Confessions in this series, and I’m happy we got to see their happy ending too.

What was different about this book was although the ‘main’ plot is about Nolan and Tavis’s story, it is clearly building up for the novella, Dirty Wrong Love, so we do see Orion and Skye considerably and get to know their personalities very well too. Though if you want to stop at the end of Project:FU, you absolutely can, as Tavis and Nolan’s relationship status is solidified by the end.

What to expect:
💜 College MM romance
💜 Age gap
💜 Hockey coach x student (not a player)
💜 Forbidden/secret relationship
💜 Ex‘s dad
💜 Cheating (not on each other)
💜 The spicy spice

Summary
Boy meets girl. Boy falls for girl. Boy dates girl for more than a year. While editing adult videos for his fraternity’s hush-hush side hustle, boy sees girl have sex with the football team. Boy decides the best way to get over his broken heart is to get under someone else. If that someone happens to be the girl’s brother…or her other brother…or her dad…so be it. That’s it. That’s Project: FU. The problem is, it’s supposed to be just sex, like it was for his ex and the football team. He’s not supposed to fall for…well, any of them.

My thoughts
First things first, Project: FU is Nolan and Tavis’ love story. Yes, there’s an HEA and no cliffhanger. These two are crazy about each other!

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I started reading, because the premise could go so many different directions: campy, angsty, outrageous, etc. I’m impressed with the thoughtfulness and care the author takes to show these men falling in love and growing as both individuals and as a couple. It is beautiful! The book touches on subjects like forgiveness, making mistakes, speaking up for what you want, understanding the need to change, sitting with discomfort, and taking chances. It packs a punch for a college romance.

(Dirty Wrong Love is a taboo novella meant to be read in tandem with PFU. You don’t have to read it, especially if taboo isn’t your thing, to enjoy PFU. However, if you like taboo reads or are at least ambivalent to them, I highly suggest reading them together.)

Bottom line
I enjoyed both of these books! I would have liked Project: FU on its own, but reading the two books in tandem was the way to go, for me. The spice is spicy, the love is lovey-dovey, and the character growth is awesome, especially Tavis’.

Content warnings
Rather than make a list here, I encourage you to read the author’s notes at the beginning of the book. She’s thorough and gives great explanations.

Project: FU is the 3rd book in Crea Reitan’s Longwood U series and I absolutely flipping loved every bit of it! If I haven’t said it before, Crea is without a doubt one of my favourite authors and the love I had for this book completely and utterly confirms that.

When Nolan finds out his long term girlfriend has cheated on him with pretty much the whole football team he’s devastated to say the least. But being hurt and angry is what pushes him to do some very questionable things in an attempt to make his now ex feel just as bad as he does. Although with Nolan being the good guy that he is it doesn’t quite have the effect he hoped for and he ends up finding comfort in the one person he really shouldn’t…her dad!

Nolan really thought everything was going well between him and Kelsey so I was absolutely gutted for him when he finds out she did the dirty on him and he found this out in the worst possible way. The fact that she tries to deny it even though there is a video to prove it made me hate her so much, I literally wanted to hurt her for him.
Tavis has lived his life for his kids, wanting to protect them and have the family he thought they deserved even though he found himself in an unhappy marriage. I totally understood Tavis wanting things to be normal for his kids but him sacrificing his own happiness for so long made me feel so sad for him. When he sees how heartbroken Nolan is, he shows just how selfless he can be by allowing him to talk it out, but the instant pull he has towards him leads to a very steamy night between them and things quickly get complicated.

The connection between these two is amazing and the chemistry is undeniable that’s for sure. Nolan makes Tavis feel something he hasn’t felt in such along time, I loved that what he was feeling for Nolan was what gave him the push to finally take the happiness he deserved and he was the perfect person to help heal Nolan’s heartbreak. The relationship they build definitely changes the both of them for the better and we soon see a love between them that is so incredibly strong.

As always Crea gave us some perfect spice throughout this story and if you follow up with the Dirty Wrong Love Novella right after this one just like I did, you get a whole lot more. It’s a taboo read that takes you along on the road trip the guys start off on at the end of Project:FU and even though it’s not necessarily needed, I would highly recommend it. I can definitely say, It was so freaking worth it!!

Crea Reitan’s "Project: FU" delivers a quirky and emotionally charged tale that explores love, heartbreak, and unexpected connections within college life. This story skillfully intertwines two perspectives, Nolan, a heartbroken college student, and Tavis, dealing with his own disappointments.

Nolan’s journey begins in pain and anger after discovering his girlfriend’s betrayal with the football team, (yes, most of the team!) a classic setup for a revenge plot. Dubbed “Project: FU” by his friends, Nolan's mission to make his ex feel the same hurt he experienced, takes him down a complicated path. Instead of healing, he finds himself making a series of questionable decisions that lead him to Tavis, a man who turns out to be a much more complex individual than he anticipated.

Tavis, on the other hand, recognizes the heartbreak in Nolan and finds himself drawn to him, albeit for reasons that complicate their night together.

The chemistry between Nolan and Tavis is smoking, but it’s their connection that truly shines. The pace of the story flows well, alternating between moments of humor and heartache, creating a story that will have you riding a rollercoaster of emotions, with the witty dialogue that adds levity to the heavier themes of betrayal and healing.

The college setting serves as a backdrop, so does the college bar, along with other places that have appeared in previous books.

So…. Will Nolan get his revenge? Will he be happier if the ex knows he’s slept with her daddy? And how will Tavis and Nolan keep their relationship a secret from his family?

Overall, "Project: FU" is a compelling love story that goes beyond revenge and hurt.
It does contain cheating (but with Tavis there is a reason, read the book before you judge)

It’s a delightful read for anyone who enjoys m/m romance with depth, humor, and emotional connections. It has characters from previous books (I love how this world just keeps growing) and a few new characters that will probably get a book 🤞

As always the author likes to give you background and cautions. I enjoying reading these as it gives us an insight into her mind.

And taking of the author’s mind…. She gave us a totally taboo side story to this one. You can only get it from the author’s website.

First, this is an erotica book and not romance. Despite presenting Tavish and Nolan's relationship as based on a deep connection, the non-sexual aspects of it received less time and attention than the various subplots, and those were also heavily sex-themed. So, not a romance novel. Sorry not sorry.

I needed to clarify this because the main issue I had with the plot was the disagreement I obviously have with the author about erotica. Erotica is not and should not be a wholesome, educational genre. The brave effort to combine hardcore erotica with "teaching moments" about family, relationships, polyamory, sex-ed and whatnot was always doomed to fail, because these moments clashed horribly with the non-educational, improper erotica plot. For instance, the author tried to present Tavish and Nolan's situation as star-crossed soulmates and role model for a healthy relationship; on the other hand, she couldn't deny their beginning was... sketchy, to say the least, and not due to Tavish dead marriage. So every time anyone started to gush about how pure and glorious this relationship was, eyeballs were rolling.

The second biggest issue I had with this book was the amount of telling instead of showing. It was most obvious in the description of Nolan's personality. Nolan was constantly praised by others to be a great guy, but the actual plot... didn't show that. The best he ever did on page was talking with an anti-social frat member, and it really does not take a great guy to do that. Instead, the plot showed him making several questionable moral calls (with Skye and Orion, obviously), and never paying any price for them except vocal remorse, because, sing-with-me, "Beautiful People Get A Free Pass".

The best moments in this book were the scenes where the author threw all her educational aspirations away and just had fun with trashy over the top family drama or deliciously dirty sex scenes. The taboo extension ("Dirty Wrong Love") is better because it has more moments like this and less teaching moments (unfortunately the teaching moments never entirely go away).

"I’m giving him my heart and trusting that he isn’t going to crush it." - Nolan

"Since I don’t imagine Nolan as the kind of guy who goes around f*ck!ng his ex-girlfriend’s family, I write it off as something to laugh about." - Tavis

Nolan was hurt by his ex-girlfriend (honestly, the way she handled it was totally her personality; she was never the type to think about the feelings of others), and she happens to have a very sweet family; he has always loved being around them. So he becomes even closer with her family after she betrayed him.....

Nolan also has some fun with her dad, Tavis. Tavis has a great connection with his children (most of them), and I really loved reading about that. He and Rachel (ex-wife) have always prioritized their children, and now it's time for them to think about themselves. I'm glad that Rachel & Tavis can be friends again. Tavis started dating Nolan, and they are exactly what the other needs. They are genuinely such a good match. Nolan also called his dads when he wanted to talk or ask advise, family is important for both Nolan & Tavis. They are both just full of love for each other, and they are exploring different ways of love and are open-minded about different types of relationships.... More about Nolan & Tavis exploring other type of romantic relationships with other important characters in the Novella Dirty Wrong Love.

I received an ARC copy of this book.

"Dirty, wrong love. It’s so easy to get lost in it."

Nolan & Tavis take Orion and Skye on a road trip, where they spend a lot of time together while exploring different places and each other. Family is very important for them.

"It just looks different from what the world says love is."

This MMMM taboo Novella is in the POV's from Orion & Skye. This spicy novella can be read after or in tandem read with Project: FU, Project: FU focuses on the relationship between Nolan & Tavis and it gives a glimpse into what this novella is about.

Adulting?? What's that?? Don't know it. That was put on the back burner while I devoured this book. As always and what's to be expected by Crea.

This whole situation could have been so messy with a capital M. But in true Crea fashion, it was handled with grace and dignity. Well sorta. My man, Nolan found himself in a pickle with not one, not two, but THREE Davenport men in the beginning of this.

Watching everything unfold, there were times that I was blushing, mad, yelling, squirming and so happy. Although my messy self was dying for more yelling, fighting and drama, like that one scene with Hannah and Kelsey.

Over time and with help from Daddy Tavis, it turned in to an incredible love and relationship, one that neither Tavis or Nolan could ever imagine the outcome would be. And the spice, OMG the spice, whew 😮‍💨

I read this in tandem with the novella Dirty Wrong Love and let me tell you, if you enjoy taboo, make sure to read this. I definitely suggest reading in tandem since the novella happens during the same timeline as this book. It just adds so much more depth to all of these characters and it is HOT 🥵

I love that we got some other characters from the Crea universe especially Princess Daddy V, still one of my top fave characters written by Crea.

I know Crea's universe is so large but I'm really hoping to see all these characters later in future books. I can't get enough of them.

I personally read this as a tandem read with the tab00 novella, Dirty Wrong Love, available through Reitan's website, and this review will be mentioning that novella throughout (I'll try my best to focus mostly on P:FU)

What a rollercoaster. Seriously. Only way to start this review. There is so much that goes on within the pages of this story that just when you think you're onto something, Reitan throws a small twist at you, making you not want to put the book down. Add in the events of the novella (and as mentioned, super tab00, not for everyone at all) and you're left with this complex, yet beautiful relationship that I just couldn't get enough of.

Once more Reitan throws back to her wider universe - Nolan is the son of one of the polycules from her For Your Love series, with mentions of the other MMCs of the series. Tavis is an ex-NHL coach mentioned across a few books in her For Puck's Sake series, and there are links to Van Doren within the pages, too.

My heart truly broke for Nolan throughout this book, as he uncovered just who his ex was. I think we've all been there before; completely blinded by love and adoration of our other half that we don't notice the not-so-great things about them. The way his besties (and boy are those twins an absolute hoot, as well as the newest Van Doren to be introduced to us) rally behind him was another proof of the amazing found family that Reitan is signature at writing.

Tavis' back story also tugged at the heartstrings, but again, I can completely understand why he lived his life as he did until he met Nolan. I adored that Nolan was the catalyst for him to finally find his happiness, even if it meant disrupting the family he'd protected for so long.

Nolan and Tavis together was the perfect combination of forbidden and semi-tab00 (and then throw in the events in DWL and you have my tab00-loving heart so happy), but it was truly the perfect relationship as they both taught each other so much, and Nolan became a catalyst for a lot more understanding, hope and comfort in DWL.

I could honestly read so much more about Nolan, Tavis (and our other two MMCs in DWL), and hope Reitan revisits them sometime down the track. Another amazing read, and looking forward to more from the Creaverse, as always.

Thank you to the author for the eARC opportunity. These are my honest thoughts that I have provided voluntarily.

This book - and the companion novella - are everything I want when I pick up a Crea book!!
This right here is exactly what I’m hoping for when I read Crea and exactly what brought me into the Creaverse in the first place.

I loved everything about this. The next gen aspect is also an absolute win for me. Seeing all the kids of other characters is beyond amazing.
It also led to some brilliant cameos from basically every character I’ve loved before.
We get the Whittaker twins, Princess V and a whole host from the previous books in this series. Also a Van Doren thrown in for good measure (I’m enjoying trying to guess who’s son he might be)
I loved making all the connections between the characters. Nolan is the son of Vulcan and all his partners and Tavis was Max’s coach back in The Crease.

If you only read this part of the story you do see a little of what will come in the taboo novella but mostly it’s a brilliantly filthy love story of Nolan falling in love with his ex’s dad.

The spice in this was EVERYTHING! Absolute god tier. The last time I read smut this good was probably back in Shiver or the For your love/forever etc books.

Did it have a plot? Why yes it did.
Did I care that it had a plot? Only a little.
This was hot and heavy and perfectly steamy.

I urge you to do the tandem read (Dirty Wrong Love), if taboo is your thing ‘cos it absolutely slaps!

The whole tandem read idea was a genius move from Crea. I could enjoy both aspects of the story simultaneously and not have to choose.

I’m aware I’ve not said anything important about the story but it was a whole vibe. Just read it and you’ll see!

The author really knocked it out of the park with this one. Now this is a solo read, but there is an add-on book called Dirty Wrong Love that can be read alongside this one. I wouldn't try to read DWL without reading Project: FU at the same time, though, as that would get super confusing. My only warning is that DWL is taboo, so be aware of that before you dive into the accompanying novella.

Back to Project FU, we start with Nolan. He's a sweet guy in his 20s who sees a video of his gf cheating on him with more than one person at the same time. You get where I'm going with that one, hopefully. He's angry and he's hurt and he wants to get back at her, but honestly, there isn't a bad bone in his body. Luckily, his ex's family are some of the sweetest people you could meet, and they understand how much of a diva Nolan's ex can be.

Then there's Tavis, he's Nolan's ex's dad. He's a really sweet guy as well, who has been stuck in a marriage for the sake of his kids. He doesn't want to destroy his family, but instead, he's letting it destroy him and his wife, who was his best friend. On a night at the bar where he works, things happen between him and Nolan, and it sparks a relationship between the two that they never imagined.

For me, this story is sweet. Both guys just wanted love, and it took till they found the right person before that could happen. The steam is well steamy, and there's a little age gap thrown in there, too. While the novella, DWL, is a taboo read, it goes so well with this story.

LOVED!

Loved Project: FU! This has been my favorite book so far in the Longwood U series. I loved the emotions and depth woven throughout the story, and the way Crea Reitan included cameos of her other characters—it felt seamless and never forced. The wild hookup with the brothers that eventually leads to a relationship with the ex-girlfriend’s dad (after she cheated in a gangbang!) was such a fun and messy twist. At first, I wasn’t sure how I felt about Nolan sleeping with the brothers to get at Kelsey, but I ended up loving that he didn’t broadcast it and genuinely enjoyed Orion and Skye both in bed and as friends. That moment when Nolan thought he was just talking to a bartender, only to find out it was Tavis—Kelsey’s father—was such a great scene.

I also loved that Nolan wasn’t motivated by revenge when it came to sleeping with Tavis; instead, he truly fell for him as a person, with some drama sprinkled in before their happily ever after. Tavis and Rachel’s reconnection as friends after deciding on divorce was also such a touching moment, showing them freeing each other to find real love after years of putting their kids first. The tension, emotional build-up, and sizzling chemistry between everyone made this story incredible. I’ll definitely be reading Dirty Wrong Love, the taboo second part of this story, to get the full experience of this relationship. And honestly—this one is a definite reread for me.

ARC Review

Wow, what a wild ride! Project FU had me hooked from the start. The blurb sets the stage perfectly: Nolan is heartbroken and determined to get back at his ex-girlfriend, leading him to a series of reckless decisions. Enter Tavis, who unexpectedly offers Nolan a night of comfort that turns into so much more. The chemistry between them is electric, and the emotional depth is palpable.

Crea Reitan does an incredible job of balancing humor and heartache, making the characters feel real and relatable. I loved how the story unfolds, taking unexpected turns that kept me flipping pages late into the night. The graphic scenes are definitely not for the faint of heart, but they add a raw intensity to the narrative that I found refreshing.

The sequel novella, Dirty Wrong Love, takes everything up a notch! Orion and Skye’s connection is captivating—they try to hide their attraction for Nolan, but it’s clear that their feelings run deep. Their dynamic adds another layer of tension and excitement to the story, making it even more compelling.

I honestly didn’t know I would enjoy this genre as much as I did. It’s definitely over the top, but that’s part of its charm! If you’re hesitant about themes like incest, I say give it a try anyway—you might be surprised at how much you enjoy it. Highly recommend both Project FU and Dirty Wrong Love! 🌟

This is book 3 in the Longwood U series. This series is one hot emotionally filled journey. Crea Reitan has once again given us characters that you just fall in love with. I was so excited to see that this was Nolan's story. We have caught glimpses of him in other books and he was intriguing. Nolan's life changes when he sees the video of his girlfriend cheating on him. When all he can think about is revenge different situations come to mind. When Nolan finds himself entangled with three different Davenport men things get very interesting. Travis has been living in a marriage that had no intimacy or physical love. When Travis and Nolan started their journey it was beautiful seeing them both find the person they were truly meant to be with. This book can be read intertwined with the Novella Dirty Wrong Love which is very taboo. The story was well written and their love was beautiful the emotional aspect and the way it was written was perfection. I would recommend to read together as it is written to be read in tandem and it is just perfect to read the two together. Once again Crea Reitan has given us a story that will have your heart melting and the steam off the charts. Daddy Travis is a man with his own dirty vocabulary you wont get enough of. I was given this book as an ARC for my honest review,

I've said it before, but I'm pretty sure this is my fave of this author's series (though let's face it - they're all so good). This starts off as a story about revenge and ends up - of course - being about love. Nolan's girlfriend cheated on him egregiously and he is understandably upset and as a result, makes some bad decisions. However, that last one ended up being life-changing and positive and not about revenge at all. What was supposed to be a one night stand with the much older Tavis - his girlfriend's father - ended up becoming something more. The way their relationship and love develops is just beautiful. Tavis comes to realize that he is worth more than the life he's been living and I love that he comes to choose himself (and Nolan).

There are lots of emotions as well as smut - and if you get the bonus novella Dirty Wrong Love (a TAB00 MMMM addition - and please do get it. Well worth the extra $3 and is found on Crea's website), the heat is amped WAY up! You can read it along with this book and it enhances the story. Crea's smut is always so spicy and sooooo good!!!

As usual, we meet new entries in the Creaverse but also get to visit some old acquaintances - always love the cameos! So if you're looking for a forbidden love story with emotions, lots of spice, and lots of heart, look no further. So good!

i was always terrified of writing a review for this book. i don’t know why. i don’t really write reviews for anybody other than crea, so, that checks out.

these two have left me sobbing, laughing, feeling every emotion under the damn sun. i SCREAMED when nolan finally got tavis in bed.

my favourite few chapters are when everyone in tavis’ family find out. the food fight, the figuring things out, tavis officially coming out to orion, the apology between nolan and skye. it makes me sob because i love how tavis didn’t want to ruin his kids’ lives by telling them about his boyfriend. i love the davenport family dynamic.

following that, i love tavis and his sons’ relationship with one another. tavis and skye driving to school, it being the smallest thing ever but meaning so much to both of them, it makes me cry. orion, skye, and tavis working on orion’s motorbike is equally as cute.

maybe i’m just a simp for family bonding.

but by the end, i was in love with them all. now, i haven’t read dirty wrong love, but i’m going to treat myself to it at christmas (maybe)!! just so i can see them all come together as a couple. i love the bonus scene where the davenports get to meet nolan’s family, because i also love nolan’s family (i have read their book countless times).

anyway, thank you for another amazing novel, crea!!

Nolan & Tavis
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
🌶🌶🌶

Ex girlfriends father
Large age gap
Hockey coach / Student
Sneaking around
Secret relationship

So at first I was like this is nuts, Nolan is awful, but no one had an issue with his behavior. Sleeping with not 1 but 2 of Tavis’s sons, Skye and Orion not knowing about it and then him getting into a relationship with Tavis I was like what even is this.

I kept waiting for someone to freak out or blow out but somehow everyone was ok with it. I really think he was given too much grace, yes it all worked out in the end, but still, someone needed to get mad, at least for a minute.

My heart hurt for Sky and Orion.

I enjoyed the book, I plowed through it because i needed to know how this ended lol

This book is tied to a taboo sequel that makes me feel better, if I did not read that directly after this I would have been annoyed lol

Don't get me wrong it was a great book, but because Crea had to keep things separate between the two books we miss some depth, I understand why the author had to do this.

Aside from me wanting Nolan to take more accountability, they are all incredibly mature and communicate very well, so yeah no issues with Nolan now with Tavis.

This is a well done book, tavis and Nolan are super hot. Tavis is such daddy vibes lol

The end leads to you reading between the lines between Nolan, Tavis, Orion and Skye

“Either way, at the end of this trip, I think the lines in our relationship will be drawn. We’ll know what our future holds. Only Nolan and I—which really is fine. I can see that future and I’m definitely in love with it.”

I could not wait to pick up Dirty Wrong Love and continue with their story. I enjoyed their dynamic once all the kinks were ironed out lol

SO thankful for this arc

story of Nolan and Tavis

This is an age gap romance, featuring Nolan and Tavis, and is book one in the Longwood U series.

After catching his girlfriend cheating, Nolan’s heartbreak sparks a revenge mission that leads him into the arms of the last person he should want—Tavis, her father. What starts as one night to ease the pain turns into something far deeper, threatening to blow both their lives apart.

This was a fast, messy, and addictive forbidden romance. Nolan’s heartbreak leads him straight into the arms of Tavis and the sparks fly from there. It’s a mix of hurt, revenge, heat, and surprising emotion that kept me hooked.

There’s also a follow-on taboo story featuring Skye and Orion that adds to Nolan and Tavis’s story - fair warning I hadn’t read a 🩸taboo book before so I was a little shocked.

Things to expect in this book are:
Book 3 in series
MM romance
Girlfriend cheats on MC
Revenge hook up plan
Ex girlfriend’s dad
Age gap
College coach x Student
Frat bro
Multiple hook ups
Spicy times & dirty talk
Edging
Biting & Marking
Secret relationship
Dates
Coming out to family

Fun, sexy, and lots of flirting

Tavis and Nolan are lots of fun and their story is fascinating. The cast of characters is amazing. Three females in this book are exciting, dangerous and intriguing. Kole, Hannah, and Mo. You just have to read to see the antics they get into.

Tavis loves his kids and his wife was his childhood best friend but the were never romantically in love. Nolan was cheated on in a dramatic fashion by the drama queen of this book and Tavis' daughter.

Nolans friends Karek, Kole, and Arek all describe him as loyal, loving, generous, and totally wrong with Kelsey. He explains that Arek gives him a cold chill but doesn't scare him. This says a lot about Nolan considering Arek is a self described antisocial psychopath.

Opening his body, mind, and soul up to Tavis is hard but he does because sometimes you meet the person who clicks with you and heals the deep recesses of anger and pain. This is true for both Tavis and Nolan.

I loved this book. I laughed, cringed, got all hot and bothered, and cheered on all but one character. Another muread by Crea!

Honestly, the Longwood U series is probably my favorite series Crea has written. With each new release in the series I find a new couple and a new favorite book. Tavis and Nolan were no different. The little easter eggs to past books/couples I absolutely love. Nolan is the child of Luca, Orson, Zvi, Wren and Princess Vulcan from For Your Forever. The little interactions even over the phone were great. I loved seeing the "slice of life" glimpses.

Tavis and Nolan were hot as hell together. I'm not sure if it was just the forbidden it's my ex girlfriend's dad or if it was just *them*, but they didn't disappoint. They felt very low angst for me even with a sprinklings of family drama.

I absolutely cannot wait to see what is next in the Longwood series.
