I saw where his life was taking him, and I thought I was saving him from downfall. I couldn’t be the reason his hockey career was put on hold.
I survived the next seven years by helping where I could. I ran on autopilot and found solace in baking. Not only does it give me purpose, but it’s also one way I can contribute to the family ranch.
So, when my cousin asked me to bake for the Lonestar Bobcats again, I was happy to oblige.
Hanging out with the team was always a good time, that is until I saw Ethan.
Ethan
My whole world collapsed after one phone call. She didn’t know though, I couldn’t let it show.
From the time I received that phone call, I put my full concentration on my career. She wasn’t a distraction before, and I wasn’t going to let her betrayal be a distraction now.
That was until I got the opportunity to play for my hometown, the Lonestar Bobcats. This was the fresh start I needed. I knew it would only be a matter of time before I saw Daisy again, but I didn’t think I would be quite so possessive of her.
Tropes Include: Small Town Hockey "Good Girl" Second Chance
Sin Bins and Second Chances can be read as a standalone.
Born and raised in the beautiful Texas Hill Country was a little girl with wild, curly hair and a growing imagination. Storytelling began at an early age as an only child who loved to use her imagination and make up stories. As she grew, she could never decide on what she wanted to be once she was grown up. Her love of making up stories didn’t stop, and it was with that imagination she realized she could live all of those realities and dreams, in stories.
A.R. Hall is a USA Today Bestselling author who lives in Texas with her almost high school sweetheart husband, daughters, dogs, and a growing collection of crafting hobbies. She claims to be an extroverted introvert, but every Pisces likes to keep their head in the clouds. Her other interests include starting gardens, binging tv shows, eating sour candy, and tracking her hydration.
My only complaint is that I wish this was longer. I absolutely LOVE Ethan. My sweet boy did nothing wrong but love her with his whole heart and would do anything for her. When they meet again 10 years later he isn’t going to let her get away or push him away again. This book highlighted the fact that life is too short. Living in the past is going to stop you from living in the now. Being scared to move forward is going to hurt you in the end. “… just like she’d told me, we’re not getting any younger. We have to take advantage of every opportunity. It’s better to look back and laugh at the crazy decisions we’ve made than to have an ever growing list of what if’s…”
I’m rating this one at about 3.5 stars, but rounding up because it really was a cute and charming read! Sins, Bins, and Second Chances was a refreshing palate cleanser from my usual dark and heavy romances. It has a softer, small-town warmth that’s easy to fall into.
The story was definitely more of a slow burn than I typically prefer, but it was still a quick, cozy read with likable characters and a sweet second-chance vibe. If you’re looking for something light, low-angst, and heartwarming between heavier books, this one fits perfectly.
A feel-good romance that leaves you smiling by the end. 💕
I really enjoyed this book. I'm not a Hockey fan I'm more of a rugby girl. I love the plot. Not sure about the ending. It is full of drama, a little spice, romance and so many questions. I binge read this in two days. I just needed to know what happened. Great read for those looking for a good romance novel that keeps you guessing and you can't put down. I would definitely recommend this book and I would like to read more from the author.
this second chance romance that give you all the feels. no cheating or secret babies. daisy made a choice for what she thought was right and ended things with Ethan. Years Ethan come to play for home team and know he do what he can for second chance since he never stop loving daisy. these book 0ut me in my feels even for a short read.
I really enjoyed this book. If you are looking for a cute short hockey romance with a second chance this is the book for you! Ethan and Daisy are a great couple. I was very glad I was able to get an ARC of this book. Make sure you get this to read!
I absolutely loved every second of reading Sin Bins and Second Chances. I’ve loved every book AR Hall has written and this one was no exception. Daisy and Ethan are twin flames and are perfect for each other.
Second chance romance is one of my favorite tropes, so throw in small town and Hockey and you’ve got my number. I will say, this was a quick read for me, only a few hours which left a little to be desired with the plot. It was still a great read and will be fun to see where the rest of the books take us!
