If you are looking for a good horror with sci-fi mixed into it, this would be your book. As I know many people have different perceptions of Horror so I come to you and say this leans more on the side of complete gore and descriptive violence. The author intended you to feel disturbed and bothered by the actions of the MMC (especially if you aren’t a normal gore horror reader) and I will say he absolutely delivered that. This book made me feel many emotions and was well written to the point that you could feel the different characters emotions when reading, especially in the more graphic scenes.

I really enjoyed this premier novel by a brand new author. I don't usually read a lot of books anymore in the sci-fi/horror genre but this one was very good. The whole quantum concept was intriguing and the author wove this idea into a compelling storyline about an every-day, regular protagonist who becomes caught in a web of suspense and terror as his life spirals out of control. The story is told through the main character Kyle, who begins having strange, terrible "blackout" experiences during his sleeping and waking hours that become impossible to distinguish between reality and dreams. He works at a quantum research facility in a remote area in Arkansas, where murders begin to occur among the people associated with the facility. Kyle becomes caught up in the waking nightmare as he becomes unsure of his own humanity and role in the deaths. His once happy life with his work friends and his wife are thrown into turmoil as he tries to solve the mystery and attempt to stop the downward spiral. With realistic characters and a science fiction/horror twist made believable by quantum theories in today's news, I got caught up in the action. This original first novel kept me up reading into the night. I will be watching for more works by this new author. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed!
