Updated Review 10/22/25: What an emotional volume! My heart hurt so much for Brigitte, but also for Lisa (despite that she really was super unhinged). Love seeing Brigitte make a friend and the "romance" bloom!
Original Review 4/21/25: I want to say that the magic-stone hunt did not disappoint (which it didn't!) but everything with Lisa was so much more unhinged than I expected!
I fully believed she would do something and that is why Yuri gave her the hairpiece he did, but I was extremely caught off guard as to how Lisa was almost unrecognizable. She made so many expressions that left me uncomfortable in how dark and sadist they were because I never would have expected her to go as far as even to hurt herself to frame Brigitte. That was…something else…to say the least.
When I was reading I was ready for Lisa to get off the page immediately, but hearing about what Prince Joseph did after everything really made me sad for her future. She genuinely did seem like a kind person before Prince Joseph made her his "target," and with how this volume ended, I think that's exactly what he's doing: Targeting people. In this case, though, it's Lisa and Brigette, and he's wanting something from them. If he's not wanting something, he is planning something that I think will make him earn favor with the people around them. I am desperately hoping that Brigitte stays away from him because he is nothing but bad news!
When it comes to Brigitte specifically, I LOVE how she made a new friend in this volume! Not only that, but how she is realizing she genuinely isn't alone. Regardless of what rumors there are, she has people who believe in her and trust her. I was unprepared to get emotional seeing Brigitte break down due to everything that happened, but as Yuri said, she did SO well! I am proud of her and hope that she continues to grow as a young woman!
Granted, I want Brigitte and Yuri's romance to continue to grow too!! Yuri is such a hard person to gauge because I think he DOES have romantic feelings for Brigitte, but dang it, where are the blushy faces, Yuri?! Give us readers some crumbs, please!!
I'm deeply thankful to know that the next volume is scheduled to release this year because that mid-sentence of a cliffhanger was HARSH!! Why did it have to end RIGHT THERE?!
There were some important steps forward in this volume, especially with Brigette's confidence. She's finally accepting she's not alone, and it's nice to see. Her budding romance with Yuri has some sweet moments here too.
Brigitte finally has some more friends, people that care about her and don’t buy into the rumors about her. The magic stone hunt was amazing, I wanted it to be a bit longer, but at least we saw Lisa trying to sabotage Brigitte again. Yuri totally likes Brigitte but they’re both too oblivious, and the Fenrir’s form was really funny! I hope Joseph disappears from Brigitte’s life
So she got another follower.....to add with Nivel. Is everyone really just mean to her because they are scared of the Prince?....
Undine seems to like Brigette. Is the boy a 3rd spirit of Yuri's or is it Fenrir when he likes to speak? Is the spirit telling Brigette to stop liking Yuri or she won't be able to contact her spirit?

Cute! I'm really enjoying this story. It's fun and I like how the author has been delving into the mcs trauma and fears instead of brushing over it. I can't wait for more chapters!
