He’s the campus legend—tall, commanding, and the kind of Alpha everyone dreams about. His teammates are just as irresistible, each radiating a powerful presence that leaves me breathless the moment I’m in the same room. Everyone knows their names, worships their skill, and practically throws themselves at their feet. Meanwhile, I’m the shy Omega lurking at the edge of the crowd, too used to blending into the background.
I’ve never wanted to stand out—until now.
The second they notice me, my world tilts off its axis. All three Alphas pursue me with a focus that’s as thrilling as it is terrifying. They say they want me, not for one night, but for something deeper. My heart pounds, torn between fear of rejection and the tantalizing promise of finally finding my place—right in the arms of these strong, protective men who won’t take no for an answer.
I want to surrender to their knotting passion, to believe we can form a bond that transcends all the doubts. But how can I trust that this won’t vanish the moment the crowd cheers again? How do I dare to claim the love I’ve secretly craved?
This is a reverse harem Omegaverse standalone. No cheating—just intense, steamy pack devotion.
Sophie is the omega wallflower, or so she thinks. She runs into Logan, the hockey God of campus and runs away like a scared rabbit. But when the school assigns her to tutor him in biology she can’t say no. Things are going well, she’s shy, but tutoring him well. Then on the second tutoring session he scents her and she’s done for. I’m not joking, one second they’re studying, the next they’re having sex. Uhhhh…yeah, so that happened. She “runs” again. The hockey team wins their game and she reluctantly goes to an after party where she meets Carter, Logan’s friend/teammate/maybe pack (it’s never really stated that they’re a pack until the end, so it’s weird). Carter gets Sophie a drink and two second later they’re having sex. Uhmmmm…yeah, so that happened - AGAIN (quick meet, even quicker jumping into the sack). Sophie makes a dash for it again, and then later (time is weird in this book, but everything happens so quickly it gave my whiplash), she meets Mason, the last of the “hockey musketeers” and after talking to him for like five minutes, has sex with him too. Whoa, for a supposed wall flower she kinda gets around. Listen, she’s an omega, and the trope sorta sets you up for omegas finding compatible scents and being open to sex, it was just the fact that Sophie was this self proclaimed wall flower and in zero point two seconds she’s jumping three hockey stars bones. It was…jarring to say the least.
Sophie overhears the guys arguing about her and comes “clean” about liking all three of them…and just like that they’re all on board and we get an orgy scene. From that moment on the guys are all in and Sophie is as well. The guys play more games, and Sophie is there when they win the championship. They celebrate with another orgy. The book ends with Sophie walking hand in hand with her guys now “not afraid” of being in the limelight because she has her three alphas.
**THOUGHTS/SPOILERS**
This book was honestly so boring I had to check myself a few times to make certain I wasn’t falling asleep…but sadly no, I wasn’t falling asleep…that was just the dismal drag of this supposed hockey omegaverse. I would’ve given it one star if not for the fact that I actually liked the hockey player alphas even if they weren’t fleshed out enough. They were all too similar honestly. It felt as if the author kinda cut and paste the “good athlete alpha trope” into all three of her male main characters. I gave the book 2 stars because the alphas were hot, sweet, alpha hockey players and I frankly love hockey romances. But the buck stops here. Nothing else about this book held my attention. I have never read such a bland sports omegaverse in my life!!! There was literally NO TENSION, NO DRAMA, NO MISSTEPS. Now, don’t get me wrong, sometimes sports omegaverses get too wrapped up in drama…like weird love triangles, or jealousy, or miscommunication about possible cheating, exes, puck bunnies, etc. but this book had NOTHING, zilch, everything was smooth sailing from page one to the ending. I mean we have this self proclaimed wall flower who just jumps into the sack with three alphas and then when it comes out it like “I want to try this relationship.” Okay, fabulous, but seriously…she just committed like that right away…what about her “nerves,” her running away, her “fear” of alphas…they just suddenly disappeared. And the three alphas are a pack?! Uhmmmm when exactly was that made 100% clear, and they’re fine with all sharing her, terrific, but there aren’t any puck bunnies after them? No exes, no spiteful commentary, nothing. This book reads like the dictionary, just with sentences. Seriously, if you like sports omegaverses there are MUCH MUCH better ones out there, trust me. This one was a huge dud. Try 8 count heat, it’s a fabulous sports omegaverse. Or if you really want hockey omegaverse, read Jane Handlers Finding Forward. Trust me…despite the other higher star reviews this book is a limp, soggy, terribly mushy (not in the good way) noodle.
This was as bad, or worse, than the other reviews I read said it would be. Its a weird omegaverse-universe, for one. But mostly she is just a terribly inconsistent fmc, so much so it feels like plot holes, and she is terrible at communicating. But all of them have very little on-page conversations, its mostly just skipping past that to have sex and then them not talking after and that leading to issues for all of them (so surprising).
I understand that Sophie (FL) is shy, anxious, socially awkward, scared, and doesn't like confrontation. But, some of her actions and her behavior was frustrating to read about. It was just not it for me.
Gets intimate with a ML -> runs away from him and purposely ignores him -> gets with a new ML while still ignoring the other dude -> rinse and repeat.
This happens twice, to Logan and and Carter.......
Yes, Sophie barely knows them so she doesn't owe them anything. But she couldn't even have the decency to let Logan know she got home safely via text???? She basically ghosted him after the night in the library. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Aside from my problems with Sophie's behavior, there were other issues with this book such as: lack of character description (don't know what the FL looks like) and lack of proper development (the guys all agree to be in a relationship with Sophie on the spot, no hesitation and no conflict).
